This is OK for what it is and the price point. Its not high quality, but its on the better end of cheap. something which baffled me was the fact the holes for the bolts are so very very close to the main hole of the flap. its not necessary and if you are installing this in a less-than-solid-door, the 3-4 mm gap simply does not leave enough room for inaccuracy and the bolt holes slip into the main cut out. overall it does what its meant to, but only good enough to warrant a (generous) 4 stars. on a separate note our dog doesn't like it, but i think thats a review of the dog not the door. Over all he can use it fine when he wants to. 1 year old Lab.

Fitted this to a upvc door template a great help. Cut out via a jigsaw. Recommend using all six bolts that are supplied. Very solid construction and well made easy to install. This product has a sliding panel when not in use.. the only let down I feel is that it would have benefited from having a more secure locking system as with the average cat flap. But other than that a really great item and value for money.

It is a very good value for what it is, and easy to fit. But guide included is slightly too big (well I can only comment on the large door) Fortunately the plastic surround hides it. I did buy another for another door, and again if I followed the guide cut out it's too big! I held the door in place and marked inside where I needed to cut.

Had this for about a year. My dog broke the flap within the first week, got replacement flap which has just broke again after 6 months. I have nos ordered thd rubber flap rather than the rigid. I have also had the aluminum and rubber flap at my old property which was much better quality hence more expensive. This 1 does the job and its good not having to think about the dog needing to go outside. I would never not have a dog flap but the door on this 1 seems to brake easy and is much louder than the aluminum and rubber 1. Plus strong wind blows both flaps open.
I have in the last year had to separate my dogs as their behaviour is getting worse, so I purchased two of these dog doors. Both are now missing the outer section and one is now missing the pivot point on the clear Perspex door. I have had to buy another one as they are both fitted in tunnels through the wall. Not the best item I have ever brought !
Installed last week and still trying to train dog to use it properly. She thinks I need to hold it open for her!!!! It seems sturdy enough for my little shitz zhu. It hasn't been in situ long so cannot comment on long term durability It took about an 90 minutes for an experienced handyman, with electric tools and no prior experience of fitting pet flaps to install it. It was lucky he had a supply of screws as they were not included in the pack.
There is an unsightly gap between the door and the flap frame at the top where the sliding security slide goes and there is no means of securing the slide to keep the gap covered. The security slide was nowhere mentioned in the fitting instructions and also no mention of the included magnetic collar key and what it does.
Generally works well. The flap is noisy, so if you're a light sleeper, you'll want to keep the door locked at night. I've bought a few over the years, because the dogs eventually break the U-shaped piece on the exterior side of the door, and sometimes the hard plastic door itself. I keep hearing that this product is discontinued, so buying an extra kit for replacement parts is a good idea.
This door is terrible on all counts. Earsplittingly loud for no reason. Looks awful/incomplete once installed.
The price was good and it was straightforward to fit.However the exposed screws and gap where the security slide went made for a shoddy looking installation.the smaller sizes are probably fine
