Its a good iron but it doesn't make it very clear how to use the steam buttons and the instructions are too difficult to follow - simple clear diagrams with numbers pointed at the part and a description- that's all anyone needs. Any why did Philips shorten the cord - my previous cord was much longer - now I need an extension. And also the clip on the cord to hold the cord together. This is a safety aspect and they took it away. If Philips are short on money I'm happy to swing a few dollars their way to have these fixed

Tried a few twice more expensive steam iron from other retailers but they needed to be send. This one is a better steamer ,lighter, comfortable and with the full required features. So far very happy

I love the colour. It glides very smoothly. Heats up quickly. I had the same model for about four or five years before it went a bit funny. But I must admit that I never cleaned it. I will descale this one, so hopefully that will help to prolong its life.
Does what an Iron should. Good steam. Good size water tank. Sole plate glides well over fabrics. No complaints using this product.
Cons: Thereis no cord grip, so when putting it away the cord falls off and unravels. Whilst it has a larger water capacity and an eco setting for steam, that seems to make very little difference it will empty the tank of water in about half and hour, it seems to constantly need refilling, not great when there is a family sized pile of ironing to do!
Ive used Phillips for over 20 yrs and their irons are fabulous! You ruined it when you cut the cord from 3m to 1.8m. No one stands next to a PowerPoint to iron and adding an extension cord as unnecessary weight. I returned the iron much to my disappointment. Bring back the longer cords!!
This Philips steam iron is one of the best irons on the market if you dont want to spend hundreds Its steam is up there with the best. Its steam function is on par with the more expensive ones. An added bonus is that it is lighter than all the others which is better for those who suffer from arthritis. Overall it is one of the best irons available.
I love that even with a very reasonable price tag, Philips have added an Eco option to this iron, since my last model. Great on both counts! Incidentally, my last Philips iron served me well for almost ten years. Thanks Philips, well done!
Had difficulty understanding the spray and steam function as they are different to my old iron. The "User Manual" was not helpful and on line instructions were exactly the same.. I persevered and eventually understood the functions. Works well after understanding functions and I have said that I would recommend it.
