The warm Manta Mask is really relaxing. I wear it to help ease my dry eyes and while I am meditating. I can almost fall asleep with it, but the cups are heavier than a regular sleeping mask eye cup/area so it may not be as comfortable as their original or their other sleeping masks to sleep with, since this mask is more to alleviate dry eyes. Just a heads up. I really like the product, does block out light and one can place the cups where they are most comfortable so that is a plus. But I heard about this product from two friends and so far, I am pleased with their product and customer service.

A 20 sec microwave is what is recommended to heat it up, that is a little too long - it can start burning your forehead once it is tightened on. It cools sufficiently to be worn loosely after a few minutes, and can be tightened around your eyes shortly after that. Then it stays very warm - which is when you feel moisturizing results - for about a minute. Then it cools to mildly warm, which is still relaxing but not really what you want, for another minute or two, and thats it. Also, the microwaving is inconvenient, if you wanted to wear it to bed you would have to go to the kitchen to heat it up. I've suffered from migraines my entire adult life and have tried every mask available on the market but my Manta STEAM Mask beats them all. I purchased this mask when I was desperately looking for relief from dry eyes that occurred after I had Lasik surgery. I was using the artificial tears 6+ times per day and was still having issues with dry eye pain, like the gritty feeling, and blurred vision due to dry eyes. After using this mask there is a noticeable difference in the moisture of my eyes. I tried one day not using is and was back to the drops 6 times that day. Also, I suffer from chronic migraines and headaches and the heat is very relaxing at the end of the day when work stress has me tense and I've been staring at a computer all day. 10/10 would buy again.
I suffer from dry eyes especially when I’m sleeping, waking up with what feels like sandpaper in my eyes is not fun. I came across this product that said it helps with keeping your eyes from getting dry while sleeping. I was skeptical but after reading all the great reviews I figured I’d give it a go. Unfortunately I’m pretty disappointed. My eyes are still dry when I sleep. There is no moisture or warmth with this mask. It’s also bulky and not good for side sleepers. It’s only black out of you sleep on your back. I like that the strap is adjustable but that’s about all that I really like. I had higher expectations and for the price, it doesn’t match.
The mask itself was great. I was looking for one that works with my cpap. Sadly it didn’t work for me. The round cups interfered with the fit of my nasal mask. The mask itself was great and very comfortable.
So I got home from work with a headache the day this arrived. My headaches are almost always right between my eyes, and in the upper bridge of my nose. So I tore the package open and microwaved the eye pads for about 25 seconds (the instructions say 20, no more than 30, and I wanted extra heat) and this was incredible.The only way I’ve ever been able to suffer through my headaches was to put a heading pad on my face, which was always kind of hard and awkward to fit around my nose. But this forms to my nose and means I don’t have to try to sleep with my arms up holding a heating pad in place. It keeps its heat just long enough for my to fall asleep without pain; and sleeping it off is my go to method.I can’t be happier with this. I’m so glad I bought it.
It only takes about 20 seconds to warm up the pink patches in my microwave to be nice and toasty. Let them sit for a minute and then attach the velcro to the mask and apply. The mask provides instant warmth and relaxation for my many headaches and migraines. However, it only lasts at full warmth for about five minutes before having to microwave again. You also can't microwave for longer to keep it warmer for longer because that would both damage the product and be too hot on your face.Because I only want to use this product for fast and quick treatment of headaches, it works for me, but it might not work for someone who is looking for a longer spa treatment.
