For $30 shipped, these were a deal. These are my first official gaming headphones and they work well. I had to play around with my Windows and Discord settings along with the game volume settings to make everything work in sync with each other. After the first week, I did get a low-tone 'hum' in the left earpiece but after unplugging and reconnecting the cable everything has been good so far.

I have a steelseries headset I got a bunch of years ago for my pc and used it until recently on my ps4 (it still works, my set up just doesn't work with it anymore). On my pc it is perfect on the ps4 it has some static constantly but I got used to it and even liked it because then I knew when I wasn't muted. This headset is:-comfortable-A good weight-When the cord isn't screwing up the sound is great.-I have had no issues with the mic as of typing this.-good noise cancelling. Someone was trying to get my attention yelling at me from down my hall and I barely heard her, and this is a woman that TALKS so loudly I can turn my phone all the way down and hold the phone arms length away and still hear clearly WITHOUT having it on speaker. However, after spending ... MoreI have a steelseries headset I got a bunch of years ago for my pc and used it until recently on my ps4 (it still works, my set up just doesn't work with it anymore). I can guarantee it's a cord issue that I'm having and $20 cord replacement is cheaper than a whole new headset considering all the things I do like about it.Buy at your own risk, and absolutely buy on sale if you are buying.

Pros: Great headset for consoles. Really comfortable and looks quite nice too. Sound quality is pretty good as is the microphone.I like how there's an adjustable strap that sits on the head. This is good for both comfort and if you have a small head like me - most headsets are ever so slightly too big on the smallest settings so this is great. The retractable mic is cool too as it helps with storage.Cons: I would prefer the mute and volume control to be on the wire instead of the ear piece because it's easier to use whilst in the middle of a game but it's definitely no deal breaker.

In my personal experience the Arctis 3 are a good headset but I think the price for them is a little too high for the quality of sound and mic. I bought these thinking they were going to sound better than my previous headset because of the brand but honestly I was wrong. Honestly the headset is not bad but compared to my previous ones they don’t compare the sound quality is much lower than my turtle beach recon 200($50) and the Arctis 3 cost me $70 overall the headset is a good headset but not very loud for the price. If anybody wants to hear the enemies pushing you for a third party lol try the turtle beach recon 200 they come with a built in amp and battery last 12 hours not bad for $50. Like I said the headset wasn’t bad but it just wasn’t great for me. The sound is clear and crisp, Has bluetooth and wired which was a requirement for me because I am forget to charge things. I use these at work to listen to music, they fit well and have a long battery life. I move around a lot at work and they don't move around easily. I don't see having any issues with durablity, I have owned many headsets(Razer, Logitech, Astros and now SteelSeries) and this is a quality headset. They don't stand out at work with the blackout design and they are easy to clean. I don't really sweat all that much but I haven't had any issues with the breathability. My only regret was not buying them sooner, not having to listen to other peoples conversations is great. You can make the sound low enough to hear others or just bast it and hear nothing ... MoreThe sound is clear and crisp, Has bluetooth and wired which was a requirement for me because I am forget to charge things. The fit is super comfortable, the sound quality is excellent for headphones of this price, and the microphone rocks! Being able to mix Bluetooth and wired connections is clutch as well. Build quality is super solid and they seem reasonably repairable as well. I have only 2 small connectivity issues with this headset. First, the Bluetooth audio quality from my Mac drops significantly when the microphone is activated; I guess bidirectional audio uses too much bandwidth. I expect this is a problem with how macOS handles Bluetooth audio and not with the headset, but know that the BT connection on a Mac might not be the best. Second, the y-splitter cable for dual 3.5mm mic and headphone jacks works, but seems not to connect with all jacks. Second, the y-splitter cable for dual 3.5mm mic and headphone jacks works, but seems not to connect with all jacks. On my MacBook Pro with a Line In and Headphone Out port, the headphones work but the Line In doesn't register at all. The same thing happens when connecting to an external audio interface. It works with a little USB audio in/out dongle that I have, so I know it functions, so I don't know why this problem happens. All in all, these are only minor inconveniences and may not even be an issue with other computers, but they make it just barely short of 5 stars for me.
I bought these for my Playstation 5 to use with Sony's new tempest 3D audio and they sound great. The value of these for what you get in my opinion is definitely worth the money! The 3D audio in these sound great. You simply just plug these headphones into the Playstation 5's dual sense controller and you're off to experience a new form of gaming. Technically you can use any type of headphones to enjoy the 3D audio, Sony's tempest 3D audio engine does the work not the headphones. These sound great tho! I definitely recommend these.
This headset has an amazing microphone for video conferencing. Sounds super clear even in a noisy environment. Bluetooth works well with my MacBook Pro and my iPhone. It's really nice to have a cord for using it with in flight video displays. The overall fit is comfortable on my large head.
Just got these yesterday, had initial troubles with the mic not working when using the singly 3.5 mm jack on the combo jack on my laptop after switching to the two separate audio and mic jacks and using my Logitech analog to USB dongle thing they worked fine, even the virtual 7.1 when using Logitech's software. After a solid day of using them (today) I've found no problems. They sound good when watching a movie on the go, (Guardians of the Galaxy) as well as when I'm listening to music, the mic is good for chatting over discord or your preferred program and my friend found no problem with my quality in voice through the mic besides my patchy internet. The headband at the top can be adjusted as suited but I found no need to and left it on the default configuration. ... MoreJust got these yesterday, had initial troubles with the mic not working when using the singly 3.5 mm jack on the combo jack on my laptop after switching to the two separate audio and mic jacks and using my Logitech analog to USB dongle thing they worked fine, even the virtual 7.1 when using Logitech's software. When using the single 3.5 mm cable variation the cable length is roughly halved which makes it very nice for just using while walking around or on the bus, which is complimented by how the mic slides away, I can nearly slide it in without having to hold the headset but I think after doing it a few more times I won't need to hold them anymore. They also comfortably sit around my neck, when I need to take them off to talk to someone. I also had no problems then wearing them for an extended period of time, due to their nice earmuffs and solid but light build. They can fold flat which is good for travelling however there are some improvements that it definitely needs; for starters a lower price point seeing as the Logitech G430's are priced at $120 and offer an almost identical experience, however they are slightly less portable; being heavier, however you can wear them for longer periods of time and have the option for them to be either analog or digital with their included dongle or analog by not using the dongle. But with the SteelSeries Arctis 3's you are limited to only analog at the $190 , so at this point they are feeling overpriced and that's because they are. So if you're in the market for a pair of headphones to use as your daily drivers while you're out and about these are for you, with their shortened cable that can fully detach and their share jack. (Yes they have a jack on the headphones to plug in another set of headphones.) However if you need a pair of headphones for staying at your desk and being used for gaming, I strongly recommend the Logitech G430's seeing as they are cheaper and sound the same.TLDR: I found both headsets equally nice but the pricing for the Arctis 3 is unacceptable for an analog only connection. However having the option for a shorter cable length and a different audio jack setup on the Arctis 3's is much nicer apposed to being stuck with Logitech's 3.5 meter long cable and the 2 audio jacks all the time.
First of all, got these (steelseries arctis 3) for 31.99 just because they were on "offer". I would like to add that my review is based on original price 60+, but I wouldn't even buy them for 30 again. Sound: not too bad, now don't get me wrong, they are loud but bad distortion when maxed and connected to PC, I am still way more happy with my 20 JBL in ear headset, 10 times better than Steelseries or any other having at home (Corsair HS50 and GSP300). "Gaming": what?! 7.1, where?? They have surround not 7.1. Steelseries software tells me to use window's surround. Build quality/comfort: I'll get back to you when I find something "gaming" or extra to say I'm impressed. I started sweating 15 min after use, short cable, cheap cable, not a standard usb/plug (so not easy ... MoreFirst of all, got these (steelseries arctis 3) for 31.99 just because they were on "offer". Cheap box, cheap plastic. They are light tho. Non removable microphone. Worth: Maybe up to 30 brand new, if you want to show to your buddies you got Steelseries headsets. I am sorry, I personally have nothing good to say about them, I've seen much better headphones, and not a fan of these typical name used "gaming" headsets. I may return them, but I'll see.
