This bluetooth controller is amazing! I had heard of steel series from one of my cousins and he had nothing but good things to say about their products, so when I got this I was excited. My daughter and I love playing emulator games on my phone and this has made the experience so much better. The bluetooth pairing is simple and fast. The mapping of buttons was easy and the phone holder adjusts without too much pulling. If i had to find one thing I would improve, it would be the way the phone mount attaches to the controller, It is two metal bars that push into two rubber lined holes. If you dont hold down the sliding bars on the back of the phone mount, they just slide away and dont set properly. We played hours each day for about 4 days before I thought, maybe I need to charge this thing. It still had a quarter of the battery left!

I've used this controller for about a week now and can honestly say that I am completely blown away. This Steelseries Stratus + controller far exceeded my expectations. Not only is it the best computer gaming controller available on the market, but it also works with games on my phone! I'm not much of a fan of using the keyboard and mouse to navigate when gaming on my laptop. This makes things so much more enjoyable and easier to play. And controlling a game using the touchscreen of a mobile phone isn't the easiest thing to do. Now those problems are a thing of the past now that I have this. The controller is extremely well made and the Bluetooth connection is spot on. It does not miss a beat. The clamp that connects the controller to a mobile phone is very sturdy. ... MoreI've used this controller for about a week now and can honestly say that I am completely blown away. I highly recommend it!

I'm more a casual gamer, and wasn't entirely sure what to expect from the Stratus+. I have mixed feelings on it - it felt solid and fit comfortably in my hands. Syncing it up to my phone was a breeze. However, I found the instructions somewhat lacking, and it took a bit of fussing around to figure out how to use it. This controller is definately geared towards gamers who already are familiar with using similar devices rather than newcomers who are still learning their way around. The one thing I absolutely was not comfortable with was the phone holder - try as I may, I could not get it set in to where it felt secure enough to hold my phone without risking it falling out since I had to place it at an offset so the clamp didn't press down on the buttons on my phone. ... MoreI'm more a casual gamer, and wasn't entirely sure what to expect from the Stratus+. My husband and I thought that the kids would be the only ones using this controller, but we we wrong. We all like using this. It turns our phones into portable gaming devices. No need to get an expensive gaming device, this is all you need. It's small enough to bring in my purse, so it comes with us all of the time. I really like that that the attachment holds your phone securely. I don't have to worry about my kids getting excited, jerking the controller, and my phone falling out. I didn't feel like it was totally intuitive to use at first, but everyone in my family that uses similar controllers had no problem. Whenever we're using it outside of the house we get a lot of questions about it. This isn't the most user friendly device, and the instructions manual doesn't help much. My kids are really into Roblox so we wanted to use it for that.First off, this controller is about the size of an Xbox one controller. It is easy to get into Bluetooth mode and identify the Bluetooth connection. When we Bluetooth it to an android phone it recognizes the controller and Roblox recognizes it but it doesn't function all that well. You can scan around the room and jump but that is all. The avatar cannot walk with this controller. We tried all buttons and it would not work. When we connected it to Bluetooth on our computer, it would do nothing at all. But it worked perfectly when wired to the computer, all the functions worked and the controller was easy to work ... MoreThis isn't the most user friendly device, and the instructions manual doesn't help much. We’re loving our Stratus+ handheld mobile control ! This controller is wireless and connects via Bluetooth to your mobile device and the whole connection process is ridiculously easy! On a full charge we get about 5 1/2-6 hours of play before having to recharge it . The quality seems durable too! I can’t tell you how many times I was a butterfingers with the Stratus+ and it’s proven durability by withstanding my torment but still performing amazing and looking great! I personally love how comfortable this control feels in hand and how flush the buttons work with no lag whatsoever. I use my Stratus+ with an older galaxy s10 along with its outterbox case and it stayed in place securely. The back adjuster can also easily adjust larger to hold a bigger phone so that’s ... MoreWe’re loving our Stratus+ handheld mobile control ! This controller itself is light weight and comfortable to hold. I have small hands, and I was easily able reach all the buttons and switches on the top and front of the controller. The buttons are very responsive, and the joysticks have a smooth action with rubber tops, allowing for a nice grip for your thumbs. The controller quickly connected to my phone’s Bluetooth when I turned it on and was easy to use for navigation. There are quite a few indicator lights on the controller, and I had to refer to the instruction manual to know what they all meant. Physically, I found the phone installation a bit cumbersome. There are 2 pins that need to be inserted into the controller. When I was trying to insert the pins, they had the tendency to fold back into the holder. There are 2 pins that need to be inserted into the controller. When I was trying to insert the pins, they had the tendency to fold back into the holder. It was a bit awkward to keep them out, but once I had them inserted, they held the phone well. Once the phone is installed on the controller, it becomes a little top heavy so if you have a large phone (the controller can accommodate up to a 3.5” wide device), this set up might not be as comfortable to use. My phone is a medium sized and I had no issues with the weight of the phone attached to the controller. This has become one of my travel staples so I can game in hotels or during road trips and has brought a whole new dimension to playing on my phone. The charger has a rechargeable battery that has a long life (90hrs), and so far, I would say that’s pretty accurate.
Let me start with I am not super technologically savvy- just a mom with a kid who likes to game on the go (we drive a lot). I didn't even know things like this existed, but it has been SO awesome! Even I catch myself stealing it here and there. It is a normal, full sized controller. You can recharge the batteries (so far it has lasted a couple of weeks on the original charge, granted my son doesn't play it 24/7, but you wouldn't have an issue over several days with no access to a charger). The phone clicks right in above the controller and it feels stable/secure but isn't ridiculously heavy. It is also wireless (obvious probably but noting to be sure) and uses Bluetooth to connect. In the car, at the hotel, on a flight- awesome!!! Helps you gain a bit more control ... MoreLet me start with I am not super technologically savvy- just a mom with a kid who likes to game on the go (we drive a lot). The Stratus+ Steel Series takes mobile gaming to a whole new level. This controller is a lot of fun to use with mobile devices because it not only works for gaming, but allows you to scroll through menu items on the phone in general. Setup with this controller is easy, and I had no problem pairing it with my Android phone. I did have a little trouble securing the phone holder because it takes a bit of strength to push into the controller. I also found out the hard way that the controller isn’t compatible with all mobile games, so I had to check online to see what I was able to play. Once I was finally in game, the Stratus+ makes mobile gaming a lot more enjoyable. The buttons and joysticks don’t stick, which leads to smooth quality gameplay. The controller also fits in a purse or messenger bag for travel, so you can bring it with you during long commutes, which I intend to do. However, I’m mainly using this controller for my PC gaming because it also works for PC and I prefer using a controller over the keypad.
The Stratus+ is easy to use. Setup was simple. You connect to bluetooth and the controller attaches to your phone. Basically you can see the screen on your phone and it is hands free as you use the controller to navigate the screen.Pros of this device: the controller is easy to manuever. It feels similar to your typical controller you use with a gaming system. It is easier to navigate and play games you could not with just your phone. It is easy to set up and connect. It wiggles a bit and its important to still keep your hands steady while playing as the phone feels "loose". It is not and it is in correctly but it feels like it could fall. It has not fallen but I was expecting a tighter hold. You do still need to use the touch screen of your phone for a variety of tasks during games. It appears to mainly be when starting the play (once in play mode you are really utilizing the controller). It is simply something to consider--you still have to be able to touch your screen at times.Overall I think this is a great product. It brings the feel of real gaming to your phone. This makes it portable and fun. If you really enjoy video gaming you will enjoy having this gaming option while accessing games on your android phone.
