Just purchased the STIHL HLA 56 BATTERY POLE HEDGE TRIMMER (NO BATTERY & CHARGER) and am really impressed. Nice and light and does a great job. Also purchased the pole extension - definitely worth it for that little extra reach when required. I have given up buying other cheaper brands. Stihl is quality and I love the battery operated tools for around home. Highly recommend.

I bought this to replace a cheaper, corded model (non-Stihl).Using this excellent piece of machinery really brought home to me how annoying corded models are.And the excellent quality of Stihl equipment was also immediately apparent.Can be easily separated into two pieces for easy transport and storage.And does a great job on my hedges.Highly recommended.

Replaced a 10 year old corded hedge trimmer that worked well then suddenly died. Have a 25m hedge along section edge up to 2.4m tall. I have used the trimmer twice on cutting this hedge and still battery is showing fully charged. Ability to adjust blade angle means no need for ladder. Lots of grip points on trimmer so as arms tire you can swap hands about easily. Trimming significantly faster than corded experience.

Very pleased with the hedge trimmers. Like a hot knife through butter when tackling the Mexican elders. Then i trimmed the eugenia ventenatii in the rain which washed off the lubricant on the blades, so will need to pick up some of that.
I really like it. It's nice, light and easy to use. I wish I got it years ago.

Heavy and cumbersome to use. Need extra extension pole to reach taller hedges.

Very happy with this product. Weight of it is well balanced. Cuts well, Starts to have trouble at about 1 1/2 inches approx. Lasts well with battery.
