Welll I just purchased my first Stihl chainsaw and it will be my last.Got the new ms 172 and you get what you pay for it’s a cheap saw for a reason.Got it home it ran 5 minutes and threw the chain off,took it back to dealer they said they replace with new chain,got home ran it 5 minutes and threw the chain off again.So it’s back in the shop for the second time and saw been run a total of 10 mins.Called customer service line and got a recording saying they was closed they open from 8 to 8 est and it was 745pm est so that was not much help.If I could get my money back i would and buy another brand

Bought this over a month ago, been a great saw so far, cuts anything you want gone
Went to start my old Poulson and it finally died, decided to get a new one and went down to my local Ace...was not going to spend $700 for a saw I use a couple of times a year. The easy start is awesome, especially when your 20' in the air of the bucket of a tractor cutting large branches. Would highly recommend!
Does everything I need to remove fallen trees from our property. Wanted something lighter and easier to maneuver and works great as long as you keep the chain tight and bar oil filled. It will last you if taken care of.
