So far so good, took me about 1 minute each cut to slice through about 15 well seasoned willow logs around 9 inches diameter. Battery still 3/4 full charge. Very happy with the usual high quality Stihl products.

Great saw used to cut down 15cm dia conifers eorked well for a small baytery unit.
So far so good, took me about 1 minute each cut to slice through about 15 well seasoned willow logs around 9 inches diameter. Battery still 3/4 full charge. Very happy with the usual high quality Stihl products.
Bought for logging up, does the job brilliantly, however as with a lot of stihl products the standards have dropped a bit from maybe 10yrs ago. From speaking to stihl dealers this maybe due to being made in China now but also they now employ a lot of people higher up that are a bit wet behind the ears rather than people who have been in the industry for a long time and have experience of actually working with the tools. If anyone knows the flip top petrol cap they employed for a few years, you'll know what I'm on about. Funny enough, from my experience and talking to dealers there were loads of problems with it. I contacted stihl to register my displeasure with this, the reply wouldn't accept my point of view and was also rude. Very impressed with the saw ideal when noise could be an issue
Having used this chainsaw I have to say that I am impressed by its ability to cut through the larger logs. A bit of a wolf in sheeps clothing. It will cut through logs with little or no pressure from me, I just let the weight of the machine take it through and not put any real strain on it. A great product from a quality manufacturer.
