I purchased mt top-of-the-line Stihl RMA 510V electric mower from my local dealership with the expectation that it would make my lawns so easy to mow. The self-propelled RWD engages to make slopes a breeze, and the batteries last over an hour each. The wide cutting blade should also make the task faster than my previous petrol mowers. All in all, I thought I was onto a winner! However, unless the grass is absolutely DRY as a bone, the moist lawn clippings get thrown against the circular body of the under-carriage and the mower just chokes itself to death. The most I can collect at a time is half a catcher load, and the mower then needs to be tipped on its side to clear the mess (by hand) underneath. I find myself now having to mow my lawns at least twice, gradually ... MoreI purchased mt top-of-the-line Stihl RMA 510V electric mower from my local dealership with the expectation that it would make my lawns so easy to mow. I find myself now having to mow my lawns at least twice, gradually getting the length down to where I want it.There are so many features about this mower that I love, but the flawed design of the under-carriage simply will not allow the clippings to fill the catcher. Even using the mulcher or side chute attachment, the grass clippings will regularly clog underneath without firing it out the side.Mixed feelings about this expensive mower. Fantastic in summer, but I'd go back to petrol for the other three seasons.
