The tool is powered by a STIHL 2-MIX engine, which facilitates very high working and operational comfort. It begins as soon as the STIHL SH 86 C-E engine starts up: STIHL ErgoStart makes starting easier as it compensates for load peaks that occur during the starting process, thereby reducing the amount of force required. The manual fuel pump fills the carburettor, reducing the number of start-up strokes and in doing so also saving your strength. Thanks to the infinitely variable speed control, you always have exactly the power the STIHL SH 86 C-E vacuum shredder needs at any given moment. Blower vac has some design drawbacks, such as the inability to go direct from blow to vac. Also does not handle small objects such as bark when vacuum use, as objects other than leafs get jamed between fan and housing.Power is adequate though.

Easy to start. Put it together quickly, Easily blew all the wet poplar leaves off the driveway. Havent used the shredder yet think will try when leaves dry off.

Quite pleased with the results of this one purchased the blower/vac because my property is surrounded by neighbouring property’s that tend to leave leave’s all through my gardens and paths and the experience of sweeping and racking them out often to keep it clean looking has become time consuming and frustrating. She does what she was intended to do on the paths happily clears the path on idle for blowing -squeeze the throttle for the gardens to clear it out then once you’ve done the route switch her over to vac slap the bulk of the pile in the compost or bin by hand to save some time then use her like a vacuum cleaner to tidy the job up .

Easy start. Long running. Does job of blowing yard debris.
Not what I expected. The vacuum and shredder does not work as anticipated, which has delegated me to using it strictly as a blower. The problem is, I already have three of those, so adding another blower to my line of equipment was not what I was looking for. If you are looking to purchase this for the vacuum and shredding capabilities, I would find a different product.
