Thoughtfully designed (at least partly) and very expensive for a piece of moulded plastic. Easy to use with the Tripp Trapp (there is quite a big 'but'). It's really easy to remove, clean and reattach with a simple click. It's even dishwasher safe (although way too big for our slimline dishwasher!!)Now for the 'but'... It's designed so that it is on such a slant back towards the baby that everything slides back down the tray towards the baby. The surface is completely non-stick... when I say 'non-stick', I mean, none even our baby's suction-cup plates, bowls or toys stick to it, which means they invariably end up on the floor.I tried to solve this by buying the Stokke eZpZ Tripp Trapp placemat (another expensive add-on) but, whilst it has a small & larger plate ... The Tripp Trapp highchair isn't really a highchair for infants without purchasing this tray. This is final piece of the puzzle allows you to use the highchair at mealtimes for your baby. With the addition of this tray, we've found that our baby will even sit in her Tripp Trapp to play with her toys - allowing you that invaluable hands-free time around the kitchen to cook/clean up whilst they entertain themselves - all with a great, elevated view.Extremely simple to fit, the tray clips on with minimal effort. The only negatives are that it seems very expensive to have to purchase the tray separately to the Tripp Trapp highchair system and the moulded lip around the outside of the tray could be a little deeper to hold toys/bowls/cups on the tray better.

Some pros are, it’s easy to remove and clean, the quality seemed good and my toddler could eat right off the tray or in a bowl. We were overall happy with this. However, in less than 6 months of use, the plastic tab that clicks the tray in place broke. It is painful to spend over $60 for just the tray attachment and have this happen. We’re donating and going to look for another brand high chair, it doesnt make sense to replace a cheaper low quality plastic for this amount if it’s not going to last. You’re paying for style with this high chair not functionality.

This tray is sturdy, great surface area, simple to fit on and remove from the high chair and easy to wipe clean.Unfortunately the design flaw that lets it down is that suction plates won't stick. I gave my 8 month old baby some food on a bamboo plate with suction cup bottom, but as it didn't stick on to the tray, the plate and food were constantly being flipped over. The tray alone costs the same as some other high chairs, so you'd expect all functions to have been thought of.
The tray is super easy to clip on and off of the high chair one-handed and this has been a very useful feature for me. We love our Tripp Trapp high chair and this is a solid, well-made accessory. However, I find it quite expensive at full price. Additionally, I've noticed that two different brands of suction plates we've used don't seem to stick well to it. I've read this complaint in a review of the Stokke-branded plate too, so it seems like the surface of the tray may be the issue. Easy to clean but hard to get plates and bowls to stick to - tricky when you have a baby that loves lifting items and tossing them around like mine does!
I bought this for my baby to use when he moved up from the newborn seat. It works, and is easy to put on but that’s about the only good thing I have to say about it unfortunately. I know it’s not meant for much weight but if I lean on it slightly, I can feel that it goes down. The tray top isn’t smooth so none of my suction bowls or fidget spinner toys actually stick. For £60 I think it’s incredibly overpriced but if you really want a tray that is just a tray, it completes the chair I guess. I’d say look on secondhand websites and save your money!
Really is useless. The main purpose of the tray for the highchair is to feed your child. All fine and well if you are just putting food items straight onto the tray but if you would like your child to learn to eat with a bowl/plate and a knife/fork/spoon then buy a different highchair. Nothing and I mean NOTHING sticks to it. My son will absolutely not leave a bowl on the tray untouched, meaning suction plates etc is a must, thus making this purchase a total waste of time and money which is extra frustrating given how much the chair cost.Whats more frustrating is that I have a few Stoke products and they seem to pride themselves on their innovative, transformative designs, so you would think they would consider the fundamentals of what the items purpose is and ... I have contacted them and got a poor at best reply back and am not in a situation where I am looking for a replacement tray from another supplier that is Stoke Tripp Tripp compatible - which really defeats the point.
I just bought this for my first baby but have not gone through months of use yet. However, on first look, I love it! The first thing I checked was the ability for a suction plate to be used as I had read multiple reviews that the texture made suction impossible. I am happy to report that the plates we have suction perfectly, I was even able to partially lift the entire chair holding onto the plate. I’m not sure if it was a re-design or we just have plates that suction well. Other than that, the tray is very easy to take off, and I haven’t had a problem cleaning it, water was able to air dry after a couple hours.
I bought the tray for my second child, as it always bothered me that our table was too high. The tray is the perfect height and a lot more comfortable for my six month old baby. I wish I had bought this for my first baby. We’ll use it until bubs is 1.5 years old and then ket her sit at the table (she should then be tall enough). I also think it is better to sit in front of the baby when they’re starting solids (until they’re around 1 year old).Only downside is the rough surface which means all the suction plates don’t work properly.
I have heard a lot about this highchair and how well designed it is. I have had it for few months now. Unfortunately, I can't return it. It's not designed thoughtfully at all. The tray- by far the worst design on planet earth. If you flip the tray- it has tiny holes and little pockets. WHY? which parent (esp, with multiple children) has time to clean that? The tiny holes hold water in and then they turn pink which grows bacteria. The chair, pathetic. My 8 month old tilts his head all the way back bc there is no head/back support. He pushes his feet and raises himself. Maybe that's just him, but lord back of the tray. Yea- it's fancy but not practical. When you wash that tray- it holds so much water in the back. Don't buy it. Waste of money.
