I'm usually not a fan of minty scents, but this one is the exception. It's very pleasant and makes a great summer shaving soap. I lather in a large shaving scuttle (with a brush, obviously) and the lather is both immediate and profuse. It's not only nice to smell & easy to lather, but the skin afterward feels healthier than with most shaving creams.I realize that I'm hardly part of Suavecito's target demographic (soy gringo de pura cepa, as they say in Bogotá), but I wish you'd consider producing a soap (or croap). I'd buy several jars of it if you did, and I think it would engender lots of good discussion on wetshaving forums.

Texture is awesome, but it smells REALLY terrible and kinda burns my skin. And not in a refreshing menthol sort of way. More like… what toxic chemical is this? Bummer!

I have no idea why people are giving this a good review. Mostly I love Suavecito products but, they really missed the mark on this one. I've used tons of shave creams and soaps and this one is the worst. It does not lather at all leaving you' next to nothing protection. It does not glide at all making your miss lots of spots. If you want a real cream, look at Taylor of old bond street.

I bought this shaving cream along with the Bigelow (re-packaged Proraso) from West Coast Shaving. Of course it arrived super fast, so first, kudos to WCS. However, I've had no luck with this shaving cream. Not sure if this is supposed to make a lather, but it does no such thing. Would have been ok if it at least provided some decent lubrication, but sadly no luck there either. Lastly, the stuff has a pretty nasty fragrance that smells like Vicks. On the other hand, the Bigelow (Proraso) has been amazing. Awesome lather, wonderful tingling sensation, great lubrication, and absolutely fantastic fragrance.
Very cooling and refreshing; nice (minty?) smell. I cannot seem to get it to lather with hands (dry or wet) or brush it seems a little runny though manageable. I assume if you have a lot of facial hair it will sit nicely and won't run. (Admittedly, I don't particularly have this luxury but it does allow for a very close, smooth shave). The 8oz. does not go as far as I was hoping, tough to use sparingly.
Bought a few days ago and finally used it this morning and I could feel it cleaning my face. Had a good shave and left my skin feeling cool, smooth, and hydrated all day! Plus the smell of peppermint is pretty good.
A very good shave cream. I have tried too many shave creams to count. So, I have a good "gauge" on what the market offers. Overall, the cream is very good: good lather, excellent shaving properties, and leaves the skin feeling great. The quantity and quality to price ratio is excellent. If I had one "con", it's the scent--it is fairly "medicinal", even a bit like petroleum? Perhaps a bit of an essential oil (e.g.lavender, sandalwood, etc.), too enhance the scent would be very welcome. In spite of this one issue, great product. I will be ordering more....and, I love the apparel-- will be ordering some of that, as well!

I love that it's pre whipped and you can feel the peppermint working on your face opening up your pores. I have sensitive skin and this works well for me haven't had any break outs with this.
