Amazing textured milk!

While my latte art skills leave something to desire, the latte is reminiscent of something from the beautiful Italia. Mmmmm. So good.I love my nanofoamer. 10/10 would get again!

Fabulous milk texture, build quality could use a v2

I get flawless milk texture 85% of the time (still dialing in my aeration and grip). I use the super fine mesh.Keep in mind I learned a lot from the cheapo wand — positioning, maintaining vortex, etc, so that definitely made the switch easy. If this is your first wand, be prepared for *a lot* of practice and rewatching tips videos! Tiny adjustments make a night and day difference, so have patience. Btw the power button on mine is fine, I waited for the new batch with a softer button. No hulk fingers here. The results from the NanoFoamer are great. Btw the power button on mine is fine, I waited for the new batch with a softer button. No hulk fingers here. The results from the NanoFoamer are great. But I definitely feel the need for a v2:1) It takes me 60 seconds for good milk texture of around 7oz whole milk on freshly charged Eneloop batteries (min 1900mA). My technique at this point is pretty honed (I transition to a perfect vortex within a couple seconds after 5 seconds aeration), so I can only guess it's due to power. A regulator would make a big difference to provide more consistent speeds. Getting this down from 60 to 30 seconds would make a big difference in how hot the drinks come out.2) The build quality doesn't inspire confidence: the battery housing is flimsy and vibrates in use (I cup the entire handle to help absorb vibration), and the handle cover on mine doesn't fit flush where the o-ring is (QA fluke, or are they all like this?). The balance on my wand is just a tiny bit off (prob within tolerance?), enough to vibrate the battery housing if I don't really cup my hand around the wand.Overall, if you're invested in pouring quality art at home or just learning the craft (I started learning 6 months ago myself), the NanoFoamer is fantastic — there's nothing really like it. The build just leaves a bit to be desired and feels like something will break before long.

Nanofoamer milk frother
12 February 2022

I am very happy with the Nanofoamer. This is the device I have been looking for sometime which enables me to enjoy a cup of flat white outdoors.I have an espresso machine which has milk frothing capability. I make three to four coffees (flat white) a day. After I purchased this Nanofoamer, I can't help to switch the milk frothing job to this Nanofoamer. I just find that - the coffees taste much better that way !!After sometime, I realise that Nanofoamer does not introduce water moisture into the milk during frothing. That's why, the milk is the milk....so the coffee taste much better. (Machines frothing wand will always need water to generate steams in order to froth the milk).I highly recommend this device to any coffee lovers

Needs Good Batteries
2 March 2022

The NanoFoamer produces about the same quality of microfoam as an inexpensive Cappuccino Whisk but produces it much, much faster. However, it only produces quality results with really good batteries. In my case I used the recommended Energizer Ultimate Lithium batteries, which were only recommended to me after I bought the product. It was a surprise. So, if you want quality microfoam faster, use a NanoFoamer, if you're ok with the process taking a good deal longer and don't want to spend the extra money the premium batteries and the much higher cost NanoFoamer, use an inexpensive Cappuccino Whisk.

Perfect alternative to Aeroccino for nespresso users
29 January 2021

Aside from being one of the few Kickstarters to deliver without drama or delay, the Nanofoamer lives up to the hype. I wanted something to replace the rather large Aeroccino device that came with my Nespresso machine and that also made real microfoam. The Aeroccino is acceptable but not great in terms of latte art or silky microfoam taste; it's too thick and bubbly. I use rechargeables in my Nanofoamer that I put in fresh from the charger; the device needs maximum juice for best performance and the least amount of time needed to hold the button (the only drawback being you have to hold it during use). In 25 seconds I have wonderfully silky microfoam. I use microwaved milk poured into a stainless jug and the process is pretty simple - spin in center for a short bit, then move the wand to the side at a slight angle to create a vortex. Now I'm not super concerned with my latte art, I'm more about the texture of the milk in my beverages, but even without much practice I can do simple art. I'm still using the fine screen, not the super fine, so can't speak to that. But if I can make a heart without really putting much effort in, then someone who really wants to develop their latte art skills will find this gives them the foundation they need. I love that it hangs out of the way on the side of my machine and doesn't take up counter space, that it can travel with me, and also makes a wicked hot cocoa!

I initially had the similar experience to the other reviewers here and it seemed like a good product. But then...(a) the screens fall apart fairly quickly and need to be constantly replaced. They're a fine mesh and will start to loosen/bend/distort which makes it much less effective at frothing milk.(b) if you have the battery version like me, it burns through AA batteries like nobody's business. Review of Subliminal NanoFoamer
26 November 2023

Do not buy for the following reasons:1. Impeller and sieves are plastic and break easily.2. Replacement parts are not available in Australia and postal costs from overseas are prohibitive.I am in negotiations with Subliminal for a replacement impeller to be provided free as mine broke within 3 weeks of once daily use. An upgrade to metal for the impeller and sieves is needed for me to recommend this product. Until then Alternative Brewing must stock these items for as long it sells Subminimal NanoFoamers.

Truly Superb Microfoam

Just sold my Breville Barista Express to upgrade to a manual machine. One of the disadvantages of this is that I lost my steam wand function of the machine. After watching many reviews on YouTube, I decided to go with the nanofoamer and I'm glad that I did. I'm achieving microfoam that is vastly superior to anything that I was able to achieve with the Barista Express, which a pleasant surprise, and has greatly improved my latte art. The extra tutorials available on the subminimal website involving the use of soapy water to replicate the foaming process and pouring of the latte art has also accelerated my learning. No, I have to buy one for my dad who loves milk-based drinks and can't believe the quality of the microfoam produced by this little machine. Works well so far
20 April 2022

I bought the NanoFoamer to take with me on vacation with my Flair Pro. After using it daily for a week, making 2 to 3 lattes a day, I would say it is fairly easy to learn how to use and can make good quality foamed milk. Definitely need to practice more, but I was able to pour decent latte art with it after two or three tries.Build quality is OK, but the plastic sleeve it comes with as well as the mechanism hooking the mesh screens onto the spinning blades feels pretty cheap. Otherwise would give 5 stars. Also note that you should clean it by removing the screen, just rinsing it and spinning it is not sufficient to clean the insides of the blades.
