Amazing Product

I've been using Sukin shampoo, conditioner and body wash for nearly a year now, and I've been using the oil balancing face wash as well, so I had to try this!! I just bought this moisturer last week and it's amazing!! It hydrates my skin while controlling my oily skin, my skin is already looking better and I feel really good about using this product. It is light weight and you don't notice you have moisturizer on like I do with most other brands. It is also gentle on my cheeks where I have rosacea and doesn't cause any flare ups. Would 100% recommend this

I've always struggled with oily skin and acne, so this "oil balancing" and "mattifying" moisturizer immediately caught my eye. Immediately it smells fresh and feels nice and light on my skin, unlike most other moisturizers I've tried. I appreciate the moisture without the heaviness, and my skin appears matte and dry. I've noticed a HUGE improvment in the acne in my T zone since using this line, although I do still like to freshen up with a toner on the go around mid afternoon. Currently it is quite hot and humid, so I've stopped using the moisturizer during the day, and use it at night. As it get colder and dryer, I will continue to use it during the day/as needed. Lately I've just been using the blemish control toner and that has been enough for the daytime!

Good moisture, decent mattifying property

The pump bottle works very well, one full pump offers enough for my whole face and neck to décolletage so this bottle will last for ages. Consistency is medium to thick, slightly paste-like due to the rice content, and has a strange earth scent. Spreads out and absorbs easily into the skin. It offers decent moisturizing property for the whole work day (I usually apply a around 7am and can still feel mild moisture by 5pm), but not as mattifying as I'd like. Once applied, it looks semi-matte but still supple and moist to the touch. After 2 hours or so oil starts to break through but not as badly as other mattifying moisturizers I've tried. Made it worse!
3 July 2019

I have very oily skin with enlarged pores, blackheads and some redness. I'll have about one hormonal breakout around my chin area when I get my period. I took Sukin's skincare quiz, hoping that I'd be able to find something to tame the oil on my face. Referring to my results in the quiz, I ordered the signature cleanser, the oil balancing toner and the mattifying moisturizer probably about a month ago. The first day, I hadn't noticed any difference but understood that these are balancing products, so it may take my skin time to recalibrate. But after using these products for a few weeks, my skin is breaking out like never before. First, it was just a couple of white heads but that turned into a couple patches of cystic acne that kept spreading through areas of my face. It was painful and uncomfortable and left me with marks. My skin actually seemed to be even oilier. Usually, I would just go on my way and decide that the products just weren't right for me. However, I'm extremely disappointed because I messaged Sukin, twice that is, to see if maybe they could consult the issues I was having and recommend something else. They didn't answer either of my messages.

Pore Clogging Ingredients
14 December 2017

So I bought this as i have congested, oily skin and thought this sounded perfect! I've been using it for about 2 months now and have noticed my usual blackheads are more numerous than normal... also my pores seem larger. Skincare is something I love to research so off I went to discover a list a pore clogging ingredients from a dermatologist. I then got out every beauty product I own and scanned the back of every one to find the culprit! Surprisingly (since its marketed as oil balancing) it was this :( The ingredients I discovered were Cetyl Alcohol and Ceteareth-20 (these two must be together to have negative affects) Shea butter, coconut oil and cocoa butter. Those last three seem like normal skincare ingredients and are fab for those with dryer skin but for those ... MoreSo I bought this as i have congested, oily skin and thought this sounded perfect! Skin Moisturised and Evening Tone
20 June 2021

I started using the product for well over 1 week now. I noticed that my face is still a little oily (imbalance hormones PCOS) but I haven't had any new breakouts and I'm due for a period. My face has began to look a little even in terms of the skin tone because I was already using the night cream for sensitive skin (bought the wrong one though) but ensure that the face is pat-dried properly so the application won't be wettish. I will update a new review in a few weeks with my progress.

After trying to find the right product for my skin type for years I finally tried the sukin range from my local chemist as it had a range specific to oily skin. To say I love this product is an understatement. I've finally found an ethical company that is affordable and I feel good about putting on my skin. It smells divine and feels so nice.

I’ve never really had a skincare routine but now in my late 40s am experiencing skin changes, so something had to be done. I’ve always had oily skin. Haven’t ever been “into” makeup or cosmetics. As a vegan product Sukin really appealed to me. I’m not vegan, but appreciate the philosophy in the world we are living in. A few weeks in to taking some care of my skin with Sukin and things are looking up! Very happy with this purchase as my skin is looking better and less oily.

Very Disappointing
16 November 2016

I have oily/combination skin, which is acne-prone. This moisturiser was very promising at the start, it certainly was absorbed fast into my skin and smelled lovely, as well as leaving my face feeling clean afterwards. However, after about 2 weeks of using this product (and not changing anything else in my routine), I was having uncontrollable breakouts on the lower half of my face. This may have something to do with the fact that it is very cold where I live, with pretty bad winters, and so this may be because it is not hydrating my skin enough? I think this may be the case as my skin has become a lot drier since I switched to this moisturiser from my previous one. light moisturiser with a nice scent

as a person with combination skin, I'd definitely recomend this moisturiser. for many years I used to have one for a very dry skin and I didn't even realise how much it was making my skin shinier (than it already was). I was looking for a natural, cruelty free and eco-friendly cosmetics and Sukin seems like a good choice. I really like the light feeling of this product and whats more, the scent. I've a sensitive skin as well and there's no bad reaction with this product. I've been using this moisturiser for a month and a half now and I definitely see some changes, but I can't say that the shiny effect is all gone. since I was satisfied with this range, I purchased the black charcol cleanser as well and I'd say that these two products go together very well. the ... Moreas a person with combination skin, I'd definitely recomend this moisturiser. for many years I used to have one for a very dry skin and I didn't even realise how much it was making my skin shinier (than it already was). I've high expectations in making my skin better with these little helpers.
