I use this product every single day along with innisfree green tea serum and then my Vit c serum followed by my moisturizer and occasionally my vit c CFO oil by Sunday Riley. And in my experience this product does help everything absorb really well. I also use this product by itself with out vit c and I have noticed that my skin feels my plump and supple when I use this product. My skin looks and feels beautifully soft, supple, clean and clear. I didn’t experience a purge phase. This serum just worked with my skin really well of the bat. I was hesitant to buy this because it’s another pricey serum and I didn’t necessarily think I needed a serum to “help other products absorb” but this product feels lovely and luxurious when I use it and combined with all my morning products and routine my skin does look and feel like it’s aging to the best of its ability with the help of this product. It’s not a miracle product that stops aging but I do get compliments on my skin and how youthful it looks. (I’m only 32 but still) I feel like my skin does really well with this product and I highly recommend it!!!! It’s best with serums to follow (doesn’t have to be crazy serums- could be as simple as the ordinary products, hydrating products or anything you want) but it still functions excellent in its own. I purchased from Sephora and I also purchased a limited edition version that has I think 120ML and I’m probably close to a quarter of the way through the bottle 5 months in with daily use of 2 pumps a day. If you hesitant to dive into a full bottle I was encourage you to get the sample size from Sephora for 100 Sephora points if they still have it. In the sample size you get 9 ml I think and that last me about 2 maybe 3 weeks before it was fully utilized. Hope this helps! I just received this yesterday from Influenster and I was shocked and so happy to receive four products from this brand. To be honest I had never heard of this brand until recently when Influenster let me know that I was going to be receiving these products but I am super happy that I did. I love how my skin feels soft and plump after using. I don’t find this serum sticky and I do find it light weight. It absorbs pretty quickly into the skin but my guess is that could be due to the higher levels of alcohol denat/denatured alcohol. Because of how drying this ingredient can be for the skin barrier I’m not sure I could use this very often. I don’t mind this ingredient if it’s not listed within the first 7 ingredients of a product, but this is the second ingredient listed which likely means there are higher levels of it. This being said, I have not noticed skin sensitivity after use so I do feel like it is safe to use a few times a week. There is a scent but I don’t mind it. This serum contains ginseng which I love ! Immediate allergic reaction to parfum

I now unfortunately know from using this and having to wash it off within 5 minutes of using that the parfum being so high up on the ingredients list is a recipe for disaster, especially when paired with the high alcohol denat as well. I love this serum. I honestly should not be using serums since I’m still young and in high school, so I shouldn’t as my skin would become more dependent on these serums. However. I use them to help bring radiance to my skin and help with the overall health of it. I really like how this serum smells and it just melts into your skin. I use this with other products from sulwhasoo such as the emulsion and I find that the combination works really well in helping to hydrate and bring a beautiful glow to your skin. Alcohol isn't the kiss of death with skincare products -- the reason so many companies put it in their products is that it makes the active ingredients absorb better into your skin! However, it does that by weakening your moisture barrier so that ingredients can penetrate better. For that reason, you shouldn't use more than one product with alcohol in it -- the effect of multiple applications of alcohol to the skin is much worse than a single application per day. People with dry skin should avoid products containing alcohol, as they can exacerbate dryness. Those of us with normal or oily/combination skin are probably safe to use one (1) alcohol-based active skincare product per day. For me, the benefits of the First Care Activating Serum outweigh the potential negatives. I've repurchased like 5x and will continue to do so.

Instead, I believe this brand's entire formulas are responsible for the results. For this same reason, I don't believe it is helpful to write this off due to the fragrance/alcohol. Alcohol can be formulated into a gentle product, and fragrance can enhance the user experience. Overall, I think this brand and this product are formulated with great care for excellent results.
