I have mixed emotions on this product. I avoided buying it for a long time because it’s quite expensive, and I have cheaper lip bombs that work just fine. However, I ended up falling for the hype and purchasing it. I got the vanilla beige, which is a dark beige color that is very close to my natural lip color. It applies very smoothly and it definitely has a strong vanilla scent- which I really enjoy. It feels just like a lip gloss- it kind of reminds me of the original Fenty glosses, except the Summer Friday’s product is also hydrating and nourishing on the lips. However, if you just want a good lip balm, there are more affordable options that are just as good. I would recommend the biossance one which is $8 cheaper than this one. The Burt’s Bees and L’Oréal lip balms are great as well.

I have shades Cherry and Vanilla Beige and I'm highly satisfied with both. They're quite moisturizing and the shades are lovely as well- I find that I can wear both more built up or sheered out depending on my mood. My favorite is cherry. It's not too bright but it does give me a really nice popsicle stained color to my lips. These balms aren't too thick or sticky either, something I absolutely hate in a balm. The texture is thin enough that I can rub my lips together smoothly but not so thin that the product will transfer to your teeth and leave you looking crazy. There's also a very nice shine to these and I find that they make my lips look juicy. I've had Vanilla Beige and Vanilla before Brown Sugar. I'm someone who likes a scent and flavor to my lip treatments, this fits the bill. The tint/color is very sheer and neutral, but just enough. It smells AMAZING while the flavor is very mild. Based on reviews, it seems these Lip Butter Balm's are either you're obsessed, or you don't think they're worth the hype or price. I really love this lip balm, it has an angled applicator and a clear (in Vanilla) but glossy finish that smells delicious. It's very rich and a little goes a long way. I used to use Lush brand lip balms but the tin form factor is really inconvenient and the formulas were not as moisturising as they could be. This is such an upgrade. The packaging has the same finish as this brands moisturiser (another favourite of mine), and is really neat and easy to fit in a variety of spaces/bags.The product, while rich, isn't heavy. It can initially have a slightly sticky texture but it lasts me practically all day from one application in the morning, through food, drink and travel. Such a good lip product. I’m a fan of thicker more occlusive glosses (versus thin and slippy) and this product is in the sweet spot. Very hydrating, comfortable and non-irritating to my extremely sensitive lips. The clear vanilla is my fav and is part of my skincare routine. The pink lives in my bag and gets applied throughout the day. I like how sheer and subtle the pink is, it’s not nearly as pigmented as the cherry or dark beige colors and I like that. Vanilla beige is nice if your skin tone can handle a bit of brown on your lips (washes my fair olive and freckly skin out a tad) and I wanted to love poppy by it looked childish on me… like I’d just finished an orange popsicle. I kept going back and forth between the cherry and pink sugar scents because I loved the amount of pigment the cherry gives but I loved the scent and the light pink color the pink sugar gives- I was torn. I went into sephora today and I saw that they had both in stock and I did a little run over there because i’ve never seen every shade/scent in stock all at once. I smelled the pink sugar and I knew I had to get it. THE SCENT OF THIS LIP BALM HAS ME IN A CHOKEHOLD. I have searched high and low for the perfect lip balm/gloss that actually lasts, keeps your lips hydrated, and looks good. and i can say that this lip balm is the one. usually i wouldn’t condone spending $30 on a lip balm but this is soooo worth it. it smells AMAZING and doesn’t really taste like anything so i don’t feel like licking my lips. when you first apply it, it’s a bit thick but then it melts down into this perfect butter consistency. it leaves my lips feeling so hydrated and looking super smooth and pretty glossy for a lip balm but i like that. other lip balms/glosses tend to settle into the lines of your lips and make them look super textured but this one honestly blurs it. it also lasts for so long whether i eat or drink it ... Moreoh my god this lip balm.
