Sunbeam ExpressBake Bread Maker

I chose a Sunbeam Bakehouse Breadmaker because my old bread maker, a Sunbeam bakehouse, a gift we have used regularly for our daily bread since 2001 had worked flawlessly. Nevertheless its paddle bearing was beginning to wear and leak.A replacement was due.I decided to stick with what I knew.

A great product that gives perfect bread!

Wow this product has been life changing. I love being able to customise what type of bread I give to my family and with this breadmaker I can do it all!My busy schedule means that I used to forget to buy bread for the next mornings lunch box, but with the ExpressBake function I no longer worry. I can make bread in less than an hour for the next day and I know my daughter is getting fresh, healthier bread. The ability to personalise how I like my crust is also a great bonus! The end result is perfect every time and the ease and simplicity of the bread maker makes my life so much easier.

Excellent purchase with optimum results. First experience with a bread maker and it was so easy to operate, just press required settings and forget. Manual provided online with step by step instructions and easy to follow recipes catering for a variety of breads and other preparations. Product highly recommended! Bread is delicious!

Best bread maker on the market!

Very happy with our Sunbeam Expressbake. It is more compact than many of the bread maker machines on the markets but boasts more features than many of the others. I’m looking forward to trying the yogurt and jam functions. The expressbake function makes yummy bread in only 1 hour, and it is so easy to use. My only issue Sue is many of the recipes in the manual (which is only online not in the box) is the measurements in cups. I prefer to weigh my ingredients. I have mostly stuck to the recipe on the bread flour packet and the bread turns out perfect.

Compact Fresh Bread

A compact bread maker, this machine is great. I have used a couple of the 12 pre loaded settings, including the express feature, which makes bread in under an hour.I am really happy with the viewing window, and that it is a quiet machine. The design is sleek and suitable for small kitchen bench spaces. I love the fruit and nut dispenser which is perfect for crushed walnut sweet bread. I am keen to trial more features and get my hands on more recipes.One issue I had was the blade getting stuck inside the loaf at the bottom. It can be very hot to touch when taking out. But not too big of an issue if I am cutting the bread into smaller pieces. There is option for medium or large loaf (and the large is quite large!).

Get ready for fresh bread smells

This machine is very clever, it is so easy to use (combine the listed ingredients in the order it is listed into the mixing bowl) press a couple buttons and voila you get fresh bread with no added preservatives as it’s made with fresh ingredients! There are 12 different settings and I am slowly making my way through them all! This definitely beats kneading dough by hand as I did so during covid!Since it is fresh bread, you would want to eat it fresh there are options for 2 different loaf sizes which means you can cater for a big/small family!The only downside is when you smell the bread as it is baking the condensation makes it hard to peer into the mixing bowl! Just have to be patient and wait until it is baked and ready!

Making bread at home was a game changer for me as I have recently discovered that I have a wheat allergy. I loved how compact the design was and how little room it took up in the kitchen. The Sunbream ExpressBake bread maker was very simple to use once I found a lovely gluten free bread recipe online; I just put all the ingredients into the machine (in the specific order for bread maker), selected 4 which is the gluten free setting and the bread machine took care of the rest. The prompts also gave an option to choose how toasted you would like your crust; I chose medium. Handy machine

Still perfecting my bread making technique. But so far machine is a good size, not taking up too much space. 1hour bread function handy . Blade has stuck in bread a couple of times. Does affect the look but not the taste

I love it!It bakes beautiful bread and doesn't take up too much bench space. It's also light enough if I need to move it.I have successfullly made several varieties of bread including rye and sourdough plus raisin toast and banana bread. All settings work well and small cakes are pretty good too.Perfect size for 2 people or fresh bread every day for a small family.Cons... You will need to download the instruction book to print recipes. (But there are plenty online)It is a little noisy during kneading cycle.

You just add the ingredients in the basket (I added wet ingredients followed by dry ones coincidentally, and was delighted when I found out I've done it correctly). After that I select the menu (which indicates how long it takes), crust colour and loaf size. The buttons on top indicate clearly what you're selecting. I went for the full 3 hours bake, but I saw on the website you can also bake bread in one hour. The aroma of freshly baked bread fills the house was great. I opted for a soft basic bread with a light crust and the result didn't disappoint. I always thought bread maker is big, but this one fits nicely on my kitchen bench as it's so compact. The stainless design is classic. One of the great feature is a window at the top so you can see the dough rising and baked. I found myself constantly peeking in anticipation. There's also another window to add ingredients like raisins, which I'll be trialing over the next few days! The delay function will be good for fresh bread in the morning. The bread maker also comes with measuring spoon and cup, so I only need to get the bread ingredients. Overall, this is an excellent, compact, easy-to-use bread maker with a reasonable price.
