It's a basic stainless steel kettle with a 12 year warranty. There is nothing fancy about it. The lid is very stiff and only opened up half way when I pressed the button down. Unsure if this is normal as all the other kettles I've owned have opened up completely when the button is pressed down therefore makes refilling more difficult unless I manually lift the lid up fully. Am unsure if the capacity is actually accurate as the indicator window is much lower down then most of the other kettles I've owned. 1.7 L capacity therefore questionable.

I received Sunbeam kettle as a gift from my best friend and absolutely love it! For someone like me who drinks a lot of tea or cooks a lot - this kettle is really useful. I love that it is stainless steel, really easy to use. and also boils the water faster than other kettles on the market. The only thing that I realize is that can be improved is that there is a small round of plastic area on top of the kettle to close the lid when its hot. But if I miss the plastic part, I touch the steel part and that can be very hot. But overall it is a great product.

use the kettle all the time, I drink 6 cups of hot tea everyday. I love hot drinks, Tea of all kinds and I pre-boil water for food prep. I love the design of this kettle, it is elegant in the size, weight and shape. The materials of Satin Metals against the mirror shine chrome sections, particularly the lid, it amuses me to see my face smile at my kettle, being mirrored back to me and to see the trees reflected on the lid from my garden.The kettle is quiet, efficient, and easy to lift and pour as I am elderly. I also found the instructions clear and simple, laid out in a very easy to understand way.
