I bought the Women's Weekly Pie Maker cookbook as I often make pies. The cookbook was full of recipes using a pie maker rather than oven baked so I decided I needed a pie maker!The sunbeam pie magic 2 up pie maker appealed to me as I only wanted to make small quantities at a time. I bought this in order to make simple, quick lunches and dinners. The pie maker itself works beautifully, but the real secret is the accompanying recipe book. I have made savoury and sweet pies, as well as quiches and damper. They have all worked perfectly. The recipes are also very forgiving. I have sustituted flaky pastry for shortcrust pastry and changed other ingredients, without problems. This is an inexpensive, but highly useful, addition to my appliances. I am wary of buying too many kitchen appliances, but this was a great decision.

Good product, made salmon patties, brilliant to use up potatoes, from the included Sunbeam recipe book which is separate to the how to use appliance leaflet which also had some recipes. Its surface is similar to another product I have so excellent because that surface has always been nonstick & no issues. The surfaces you want to avoid are the really smooth ones, as they don't work well as nonstick. Also do not use spray oils on them ever was told that there is an ingredient in them that ruins the nonstick surfaces..which it does. Took me a while to buy but glad I did.
