To replace, unscrew/remove the frame with the flap attached from the area it has been installed into. Sit one flap hinge in place and then wedge a screwdriver between the long edge of the flap and the inner edge of the frame to expand the frame enough for the other hinge to slot back in. Please note when leveraging the flap in and out of the hinge hole it does require some force but as the plastic flap is slightly flexible, it should be able to take the pressure. What is there to say? Bunnings asked me to review a pet door. I did ask my dog for feedback but didn’t get any unfortunately. This pet door may change your life, in so far as you don’t need to open an actual door to let your pet out for their garden adventures.
Perfect replacement, easy to install, no unscrewing whole surrounds, just clicks in place.
I purchased the door to replace the original door that my dog broke after many years of use.
This was one of the few large dog doors that would suit the size we needed, and it came with useful locking mechanisms. Although not super secure (you could easily break through if you wanted) it’s enough to stop an animal or deter your pet if not too forceful. BUT this is our second door as the first one eventually broke off the hinge due to constant banging in and out, speaking of which it not very quiet.
It's gets pretty hard to get spare parts for many items these days.Appreciate that Hakuna is willing to sell spare doors for their pet door range.
Flap fitment is perfect and makes the door like new, flaps themselves last less than 2 years this is my third hence the 3 star rating
Received the replacement door fast. Just had to undo a couple of screws and it was back in place. Fits well, no gaps.
Great tricky to put on but daughter used hot water and file
