I'm an avid athlete and do a lot of running, 10-20 mile rigorous hikes, training to climb Mt. Whitney, etc, and was having pain in my metatarsophalangeal joint area. My orthopedic surgeon recommended I try these. They've completely taken care of my problem. If you are thinking of going to a podiatrist because you've developed pain or aching in that same area, please don't. The podiatrist said I needed orthotics, which would have cost over $500. For less than $50 my problem is solved.

My podiatrist recommended these to help to alleviate severe pain and tenderness in the big toe--joint forward of the ball of my foot as an alternative to surgery. I trimmed them to fit even though I'm wearing a half-size larger shoe than I used to and all my shoes have wide toe boxes. They gave me the bend I needed to begin reshaping my foot and helped to reduce my painfully swollen toes within a few days of wearing them--hoping they'll get even better as I break them in. Note: I have flat feet and the added arch support helped, too, but the insert reduced the wiggle room in the toe box area and my heels aren't fitting as snug as without them--some noticeable slipping in the heel. I wear zero-drop shoes with a low stack height so my feet are riding higher off the ground but the trade-off is worth it. Although my shoes are no longer as flat to the ground as before, I am still able to do tai chi without any problems, and walking, running, and cross-training have become more comfortable. Due to the added lift, I'm concerned that I'll turn an ankle when playing tennis or basketball. But I'm going to purchase another pair or two to stop having to change inserts in all my different shoes.

I have high arches and have worn Green for +/- 10 years. They are comfortable, supportive and do not loose the original shape. They are long-lasting, even after multiple washing machine cleanings. Seven years ago I had 3 1/2 hour foot surgery which included the permanent insertion of 4 screws. The original plan was that once my cast was removed I would need a customized sole orthotic to support the repaired bones. A few weeks before my cast was removed I showed my orthopedic surgeon one of the Superfeet Green that I had been wearing before the surgery. She examined it and said that Green would be all I needed and I didn’t need a customized orthotic sole insert. I have been wearing Green successfully and pain free ever since. I am 6’1’’ and weigh 240 pounds.

I started wearing these about 20 years ago to help with plantar fasciitis. They were recommended by my running shoe store. After considering the alternatives, surgery or injections and hearing from many others that neither of those options were long term fixes I went with these inserts. Problem solved! It took several months as I was told it would but the problem went away and never came back. I can't imaging wearing my shoes without the support these inserts provide. They last a long time and are worth every penny.
My podiatrist recommended these. He said they were the best bang for the buck, and he was right. I've bought4 of these, and they have really eliminated the pain issues I was having when I first went to visit him. For my problem, this was really a great recommendation and I think they outperformed some custom orthodontics I had years ago for running (no, don't run anymore...at mid-seventies my knees...), and these greenies were about 1/5 the price! Custom supports are very expensive...or were in the 90's.My recommendation is, if you don't have a Dr's recommendation, and need arch support, get these! Or maybe get the running ones, if that's what you do.

I'm 38 and play lots of basketball and football. Nagging plantar fasciitis has put a halt to these activities over the last year. These inserts haven't CURED it, but they've made it so much more manageable that I can play, and then do my strengthening work the rest of the week. It's making incredible progress and I'm able to continue playing and even play harder than I was without them.I went ahead and bought the Orange ones as well and I've found myself preferring those for sport, and the Green for when I need to wear shoes casually. This combo is working awesome, along with plenty of barefoot time and strengthening the foot muscles in between. Making great progress and really excited.
After 6 years of weekly usage (sometimes more) these Green Superfeet make my boots fit like gloves. When I use these I feel as if my arch is perfectly supported, my ankles are locked and supported, while at the same time I have full articulation of my toes / feet. I have a very wide foot at F rated. Total weight for both is 4.05 oz. or 113 grams for you non-imperialists. These are constructed of a foam supported by a rigid, durable plastic. After 6 years these look nearly new. I have tested these out with Salomon QUEST 4D 3 GTX® and ZODIAC PLUS GTX HIKING BOOTS MEN'S by Scarpa. My feet, legs, knees and hips appreciate this product. Yes, I would recommend to anyone.DATA SUMMARY:GREEN SUPPORT & COMFORT INSOLESby SUPERFEET• RETAIL: $55 USD• WEIGHT: 4.05 oz. ... MoreAfter 6 years of weekly usage (sometimes more) these Green Superfeet make my boots fit like gloves. As a ski guide and backcountry skier, I spend a ton of time on my feet, in ski boots throughout the winter and spring. I've used insoles for arch support, to reduce fatigue in my feet, and to help take up volume in my ski boots because I have a very long and narrow, low volume foot. I really like Superfeet's green insoles for all of these uses. I have used the pink ones as well, and have liked those. This spring, I put a fresh pair of green insoles in my boots for a 3-week trip to Europe that included 6 days of touring on the Haute Route. I was in my boots for 6-8 hours every day, covering many miles on all kinds of snow surfaces (often pretty firm). I believe that these insoles helped keep my feet fresh and comfortable. I had no foot issue during the entire trip ... MoreAs a ski guide and backcountry skier, I spend a ton of time on my feet, in ski boots throughout the winter and spring. I have no feet or leg ailments. just wide feet across the fore-foot.. toes area. so how difficult is it, to find comfortable footwear even wide work boots aren't wide enough or comfortable. The same problem goes for comfortable & correct width "insoles" the only people making a 6xxx wide insole are ""Superfeet""I highly recommend these Wide Green superfeet insoles. so supportive really comfortable and last years. I would not wear boots ( most of my foot-ware) without these awesome comfort insoles.
