These bowls fit the Surefeed microchip feeders. I bought these to eventually replace the ones we are using for our cats. I have never placed these stainless steel bowls in the dishwasher, but hand wash instead. No rust and the silicon rim at the top that provides a great seal with the cover of the feeder holds up well.

Great product, my cat was getting ache on his chin from the plastic bowls and now since having the stainless steel it is starting to settle and go away. The added bonus of the bowls can go in the dishwasher is awesome.

So good to have my girl eating out of stainless steel bowls again. Disappointing that Surefeed provide plastic bowls as standard with the feeders. Eating out of plastic can cause feline acne, and my girl got it back bad after using the plastic bowls for a few months. I highly reccomend replacing the plastic bowls with stainless steel.
Certainly solving the issue - stopping one cat losing weight and the other becoming a porker. Pretty good build quality. Easy to program / setup. Cat's still a little hesitant but getting better - might take time.
Nice to have a dishwasher safe alternative to the chip feeders plastic versions which are not (dishwasher safe). One of my cats is prone to feline acne on his chin so plastic bowls are not a good idea for him. Price is high but they fit correctly and seal to the feeders lid which plain SS bowls i found do not. Quality is fine. Metal is thin but that doesn't seem to be a problem. I haven't dented one yet in normal use. Would be nice if there was a divided version like in the plastic bowls for wet and dry. I like them so far and if the money doesn't put you off are a good add on for the chip feeder.
As the owner of 3 elderly cats, who all have different health issues / diets; I have found the automated Surefeed feeder to be essential in making certain each cat eats the correct diet (with or without medication). The feeder also makes sure that my big greedy cat does not eat the smaller cats food. I bought a large number of plastic feed-bowls to use with the feeder, but this caused an unexpected problem. One of my cats developed an allergy to the plastic, and an itchy rash broke out on her chin! The irritation caused her to scratch at it, and she soon had a full-blown infection and open wounds on her chin! I was delighted to see these stainless steel dishes introduced. They are expensive, but still cheaper on eBay than elsewhere. My cats can once again be fed at the same time, from their own dishes; with no risk of pinching each others food. The Surefeed products are an expensive solution to a feeding problem; but its a solution that does really work. Im glad I got them.
It is the only stainless steel option that is compatible with the microchip feeder. However the surface is coated with a matte finish that scratches easily. Not sure what the matte coating is either... but would prefer if it was just stainless steel.
These are not knock-offs and are very hard to find. The price for them is better than on Amazon or the Surefeed site - and both these sites are out of stock! Stainless steel is non-toxic as opposed to plastic which can be bad for your pet's health over repeated use. Also, they fit perfectly so the food does not get underneath the bowl. They are easy to clean as well.
This product has revolutionized feeding time and relieved a lot of stress and anxiety for everyone in the household! Our skittish kitten is the one who likes to graze, and the instructions showed the best way to introduce nervous cats to the feeder. It worked like a dream! Even though we trained it on her microchip, I started using the included tag just to familiarize myself with the product before introducing my cat to it and found that to be very helpful.
