It's a bit expensive, but I do like it very much. I got mine at a bargain price compared to what it normally sells for. My cat is a big cat and only just managaes to fit through it, so a bigger size would of been a good option, but they only do the "SureFlap Microchip Pet Door Connect" in a bigger size, but this is no good for me because it's not dualScan. Also you will have to waterproof it yourself as I discovered rain can get in, and damage it, which it did mine, but I managed to get it replaced under the warrenty.

Wish I found this years ago. Perfect for indoor/outdoor cats that need the freedom during the day but kept in at night. Took a few days but both our cats get it now. We timed the curfew to daylight/night and think that helps. Awesome product.

My cats & dog have been using this for just over a year now and TBH it works well and the app part is handy sometimes all be it a little basic, I would say that given how much these are in cost you would think that there would be more user options such as only letting say 3 out of 4 of your pets to be going out or not letting one back in for some reason ?, I have had a few times were one of my cats have had to be grounded due to a infected paw due to a cat bite and so could not let him out for a few days days but the app will not let me hold him back as being grounded to stay in, I think this must be a option that could be programmed into the app side of the entry exit control part of the app for one of the pets chips to be restricted when read if not all have ... MoreMy cats & dog have been using this for just over a year now and TBH it works well and the app part is handy sometimes all be it a little basic, I would say that given how much these are in cost you would think that there would be more user options such as only letting say 3 out of 4 of your pets to be going out or not letting one back in for some reason ?, I have had a few times were one of my cats have had to be grounded due to a infected paw due to a cat bite and so could not let him out for a few days days but the app will not let me hold him back as being grounded to stay in, I think this must be a option that could be programmed into the app side of the entry exit control part of the app for one of the pets chips to be restricted when read if not all have options for entry or exit, at this point in time it's all in or all out and as such very basic :(

It's a good cat flap in theory but has proved to be essentially useless in practice. A slightly determined cat will break or beat the cat flapIn a short space of time. Within a day my cats had half pulled out the draft excluding brushes by clawing around the sides of the flap window when it was locked, meaning it then wouldn't open or close properly. Not long after they figured out how to open the flap inwards when it is locked, by putting a paw down on the lock mechanism and pulling the flap open with a claw around the edge. A little time and determination and they were out. The lock mechanism is easily pushed down even when "locked". And this doesn't register as a cat leaving, so you would think the cat was still inside if away from home.So unfortunately it's ... MoreIt's a good cat flap in theory but has proved to be essentially useless in practice. It's a shame, because it could be great, but falls short in the critical area.
I bought this catflap to stop unauthorised entry into the house of other cats. As this replaced a normal staywell cat flap I found the fitting very easy as the hole required in the door was the same size. After inserting batteries and scanning the two cats microchips it was all systems go. The cats took a little while to get used to the cat flap as they have to go head first so the sensors read the microchip and then unlock the cat flap. This only took about 2 days and now they seem very happy to use it. The app on my phone shows when they have been in or out which gives a great idea of there movements.
I love the curfew features makes it very easy for me to control my cats activity. I would recommend buying a wifi extension plug for this product if far away from router.
We've recently put this cat flap into our patio door and it's great! Very easy to set up given how high tech it is.One of our cats loves the outside and he used to claw at the door for us to open it and seemed desperate to go outside after I'd come home from work. This is such a great solution because we can control when he goes out and see the activity on our phone. However, our other cat is still hesitant and hasn't used the cat flap after over a week of having it. She's naturally very nervous and the cat flap makes quite a loud clicking noise when it unlocks which puts her off. I hope she will get used to it but something to bear in mind if you have a cat with a nervous disposition.
Cat flap was very easy to install and set up. My cats took to it well, and using the app it's easy to see whether or not they are in the house. This makes it easy for us as we know what they are up to, as the app allows us to see what time they go in and out.
Great value for money, brand new boxed. Does exactly what it says. We bought it specifically for the curfew mode that we can set and change remotely if needed to ensure our cats are locked in and safe at dusk. It is also interesting to have the app and see how much time theyre spending outdoors each day. Easy to set up the hub and it connected even though the hub was upstairs and two rooms away. Very impressed! It was easy to set and save their individual chips so we know which cat is coming and going. This catflap will give us peace of mind when we go away on holiday and means cat care is easier to arrange as now carers only have to visit once a day to put food down instead of twice to open and lock the catflap. Very pleased with this product!
I couldn't find this on Amazon and was worried about the cost, but I'm so in love with it. The hub connects adequately even though it's not in line of site as recommended but two rooms away. The app is not perfect, but certainly functional and I've already got 3 of my five half-wild cats going right through it. Best of all, NO raccoons at my cat food. My fiance rigged it into the framework of an old, non-smart, window flap with very little difficulty.
