I needed to get out 2 rusty 6mm Dia. Philips headed bolts. The drill was sharp and the Easy Out went in and bit into the metal well. I took my time and made sure everything was square and I did not force it. I got out the 2 rusty bolts with no issue.

Purchased today, successfully drilled stud, stud turning BUT this poor quality and very soft easy out snapped off in the stud after a full successful turn. DO NOT BUY, the reviews are correct. Bunnings should stop selling immediately.

Snapped off far too easily leaving a bigger problem than started with
Worked well on an 8mm Galvanised screw that was broken deep inside a fence post. Trick seems to be to make sure you screw as straight as possible and go as far in as you can. When removing take it slow.
Used it to remove the threaded screws on the winders on our old wooden windows so we could replace the winders (try saying that quickly). The first one worked well, though you have to drill a fair way before trying to hammer in the other piece. The second one I didn't drill the exact centre of screw so it broke the screw and only removed half it. I was still able to remove the winder though and then remove the screw with some pliers. Overall it worked well, I just needed to be more careful when drilling the initial hole.
I bought this product, recommended by Bunnings guys in order to remove anti-theft screws on my vehicle plates. Not fit for the purpose, and very expensive for two little bits of metal
