The website information for this dummy camera clearly states that this camera is exactly the same casing as a genuine Swann camera except that all the internal wiring and circuitry have been removed. I just bought the dummy camera from Bunnings only to find that the dummy camera is just made of cheap plastic and is NOT a genuine Swann camera minus its internal components. Being the owner of two current NVR-8580s with a combination of NHD-865MSB, NHD-855MSB and NHD-887MSB cameras which are made with metal casings, the dummy camera is nothing more than a cheap toy.And, on the bottom of the box... "Internal use only".This directly contradicts the claim the dummy camera is waterproof and can be used outside as shown in the pictures on Swann's website.

I thought I was getting a fake camera that is battery operated and has a red light. but when I got the item it was just a camera no red light to inform thieves there was a camera.

These dummy cameras are great, they look & feel as real as the proper ones. These are cheep & easy to install.
After being recently robbed these purchases have provided security and peace of mind until effective cameras set up.
You can not change the orientation of this stupid product you can make it point upward but not downward due to the Clown that designed it! Taking it back tomorrow

I am still researching best system to get for myself - this is so close to the real one that, with a bit of crafty cable added, it looks fine. Obviously it won't do much, but in the meantime, it deters...Pre-used unit, well described & quickly posted. Thanks.
Bought 4 pack and very happy. Placed in an area wifi is not available on remote property. Betting if your dumb enough to break into empty sheds regularly maybe these will having you think twice.
