Really bad, broke on first day of using it! The pole kept tipping out and wobbling then ended up cracking the plastic around the hole in the base. The lid wouldn’t clip on so kept coming loose & the ball didn’t spin around the top properly kept wrapping around the pole. Really terrible! Isn’t even a 1 star

Awful! This new style of base is flimsy and doesn’t hold together properly, we have filled it with sand as the weight but every time you hit the ball with any type of force the lid pops off base and makes the metal pole wobble around. Meaning the game is ruined by having to click the lid corners back into place every two minutes! Very frustrating, no idea why they changed the style from the old version! But my 8 and 10 year old are thoroughly disappointed

Brilliant item, seems sturdy with nice thick strong rackets, was very easy to set up. It all packs away neatly in the base for storage when its not going to be used for a while. I usually cant get my kids playing anything together without world war 3 breaking out but they happily played together with this for almost 2 hours so i would definitely buy this again.

Purchased for my 5 year old. She’s a little to young to master it, but we all love it. The base is so stirdy, the bats are strong. Slightly expensive, but so glad I went for this one and not the cheaper one. It’s built to last (I hope). Great purchase.
I bought this for my daughters birthday and she and her sister love playing with it keeps them moving and gets them out of the house the poles are made from metal and the rest from sturdy plastic. Fill the base with water to keep it in place and the assembly is easy by connecting the poles together and off you go
I bought this swing ball set for my nephews' Christmas present. We set it up on boxing day and had 2-3 hours of great fun. Everything worked well until packing up time when I tried to detach the first pole from its insertion point in the base. The pole was stuck fast and as I tried to twist it apart stress lines in the plastic started to appear. I couldn't in fact take it apart, thus meaning it remained stuck up out of the base making transport difficult.The appearance of the stress lines also makes me very concerned that the point where the pole is inserted into the plastic base could crack at any time making the whole swing ball set unusable. This is a serious design flaw that should be addressed by the manufacturers.
We got Swingball for the Bank Holiday for a gang of kids of all ages. Everyone had a go and people seemed to have worked out a way of sharing. Rules are scores didn't really matter. We were all happy to see kids being included and the Swingball was the hero of the weekend. It was a nice the the grown ups to have new memories with a toy from our schooldays. The speed of delivery was. excellent. Totally shooping with Smyths again. If you do have big kids, the pro version might be a good idea.
Bought this for the family to play out with.Generally fun but definitely not as good as the original.The plastic bit at the top is terrible as the ball chord has a long loop, it does wind up and down but unless you are watching it it doesn't "pop" up like the original and the loop tends to cause the ball to wrap around rather than glide up and down. I like the fact that the storage is the bas and the whole thing can be dismantled and placed inside it. We used water to weight ours and it does the job well.Overall my wife and I had fond memories of the original and although fun this is nowhere near as good as the original so we were a little disappointed. Base didn't click fully back into place, plug buckled when I tried to replace and the ball doesn't swing round properly,the string just gets wrapped up around the pole. I've tried adjusting the loop. It's a 5 year old hitting it so it's not a hard hit. Just not a great product. Taking back to the shop.
Had this a week or so, and it’s blooming brilliant!Couple of black eyes here and there but heyyy…Adult have taken over it! It’s robust & easy to build!Kids love it when they get chance.Hours of fun in the garden, perfect for a BBQ tournament!!
