This is my favorite tea, drinking since 2014 when an Aussie couple moved, opened a beautiful café in Miami & I was hooked. I purchased through them & then started purchasing through T2, then USA distribution. However now ALL US IS CLOSED. The refill foil price has sky rocketed and shipping to the US is $30 unless I purchase over $100. I’ve emailed T2 SO many times and purchasing from Amazon is unpredictable and they DO NOT sell French Earl Grey loose tea! Yes, I’m being completely dramatic but it’s my TEA. Over these 8+ yrs even made T2 French Earl Grey biscotti & scones for gifts. It’s a shame, this is something I’m now not able to enjoy in my mornings and afternoons.

I love this tea. I saw it recommended as an iced tea somewhere within the depths of the internet during/before the pandemic (time has no meaning anymore) and I’m hooked. I haven’t been able to find it locally or without international shipping lately so I but the bullet and bought it with Australian shipping. It’s still worth it. I mix this with a less pricey orange penoke tea and it’s excellent iced.

I like Earl Grey and Lady Grey teas, but was blown over when I had the French Earl Grey during a vacation in Tasmania. It was everything I love about Earl Grey and Lady Grey (i.e. the citrusy tang from bergamot and lemon and orange peel) overlaid with a floral note. I love florals, so this tea was heaven in a cup.On my return home, French Earl Grey was my first purchase! However, it was only after my purchase that I realised I could have bought an Icon Tin of this rather than paper box or pouches which were the only packaging options that showed up when I did a search for French Earl Grey. This was very disappointing as I would have loved having a customised, dedicated container - hence 1 star taken off.PS: if you don’t like florals, you will not like this ... MoreI like Earl Grey and Lady Grey teas, but was blown over when I had the French Earl Grey during a vacation in Tasmania. This is an absolute delicious tea. The lovely floral fragrance which wafts up when you open the large refill pack is enough to get me grinning and builds up the anticipation for the gorgeous tea. Anyone who happens to be nearby in the kitchen will come wandering over at the scent and I'm happy to share the love. Steep for a bit in hot water and get sipping! I don't bother with milk, just distracts from the beauty of French Early Grey. Can't recommend this tea highly enough.
This tea is one of two teas in the T2 range that I can’t live without! The other is Earl Grey Royal. Both teas have a good balance of bergamot and some subtle other flavours. These are one of the few teas they make that don’t have odd things in there or overwhelming flavours.
I purchased this tea, untasted, on the recommendation of a friend in Melbourne. I occasionally drink regular Earl Grey tea, but I will be drinking this French Earl Grey on a regular basis. The fruity/flowery flavor from the hibiscus, sunflower petals, rose petals and mallow flowers is subtle and complex. I needn’t have worried that the flavoring would overpower the natural black tea and bergamot flavors. This tea is just perfectly put together. I’ve tried it with and without creamer but find I prefer it plain.I use an Inteye tea strainer that works very well as it has great flow-through and can be used for multiple cups of tea, in teapots as well as single cups. It looks much like the one that’s included with the T2 Teaset that’s sold here. I find I can easily get ... MoreI purchased this tea, untasted, on the recommendation of a friend in Melbourne. It looks much like the one that’s included with the T2 Teaset that’s sold here. I find I can easily get a second cup of tea from these leaves if I let it brew 5 or 6 minutes the second time around. I’ve also tried brewing it in a 300 ml cup, letting it brew a little longer, and it worked just fine.I live in California and worried that it might take forever to get here. But I placed the order on Sunday and it arrived on Friday, a perfectly acceptable amount of time. It was shipped from New Jersey, on the east coast. Communication was great with confirmation emails and notifications when it shipped. Good shopping experience and wonderful teas. (I ordered 2 others as well which I’ll review later,)
I bought this online just going by the name and reviews and was mortified when it came as the smell really put me off. I decided to just give it a try as I already paid for it, hoping that the taste would be alright. The smell completely changes after you add hot water to it! It smelt amazing and tasted great as well. French Earl Grey also goes really well with milk.
A good flavour for morning tea. Strong smoky flavour which I like, many may not. Definitely worth trying, human taste buds are attuned well to smoky flavours, think of ancestry cooking over a smoky fire. Even children love smoked food
Literally my favourite tea, ever. I don’t even like normal earl grey tea as it tastes like soap, but T2’s French Earl Grey is just magical! I recommend it to everybody and always serve it for afternoon tea. It is just so unique and the bergamot and flowers blend so well with the tea and any kind of milk you add. I couldn’t believe French Earl Grey wasn’t a tea you could find elsewhere, either! It’s so good that I thought it was a regular type of Earl grey, but no - it’s unique to T2! So happy I can order it internationally!
The product has declined in recent times as the maker has introduced more fines in the mix. These fines may be ok in a tea bag but are NOT welcome in loose tea!!
