I purchased this tea as part of the T2 five dessert club package. It smelt interesting when I first opened the packet – of cocoa, carob and a caramelly sweetness.Unfortunately, when I brewed a generous teaspoon of this tea in one cup of water for the recommended time (3 minutes), it watery and weak. I might as well have been drinking hot water. It even looked pale, similar in colour to sugar that’s reached hard crack stage (light amber for people who don’t bake). To improve this tea maybe a stronger, more robust black tea base could be used, and the relative quantity of caramel pieces could be amplified.

I accidentally bought two of these and it was a blessing in disguise. Carmel brownie is my favourite tea from t2 and I had a pleasure to taste most of them. I like to drink mines with some lemon juice. The tea is not overly sweet or overpowering but curbs any sugar cravings because you are in fact having a brownie. Even the sheer smell is beautiful. Highly recommend it

I love this tea! At first I was a bit unsure, but the more I drank the more I liked it, and now I’ve just repurchased another cube (so you know it’s worth having)! It definitely smells/tastes like brownie to me, so definitely get this if you have a sweet tooth like me. I normally have with a dash of milk.

This is a great tea for helping to keep a sweet tooth in check. I liked to make this tea when I was craving a sweet treat at night; slowly sipping the tea over a while helped me to feel more satiated and felt like a really decadent treat.I liked to pair this with milk and I found it worked well with several different types of milk (cows, almond, coconut, almond coconut etc) and the milk helped add to the richness of the flavours.I preferred this as a night time treat and wasn't the biggest fan of it in the morning, because of it's sweetness. It is a bit of a sweet tea, so it does feel like a treat.
I keep going on and off of this one. It’s nice in the arvo for a sweet tea, but the only reason I take away 2 stars because I need T2 to make the black tea in this brew stronger. Don’t get me wrong. I like it indeed, but I just go through it too fast due to the weakness of it. I forgot how weak it is! Therefore I won’t purchase it religiously like I would other teas. Just occasionally. T2, please make this stronger and you’ll have a regular purchaser for life! Also, packaging could always be more sustainable.
My mom and I first had this tea at a lunch where we both fell in love. I gifted this tin to her, and she of course gifted one to me (great minds think alike.) This is a fun tea if you think plain Lipton is too bitter but fruity teas are too sweet. The caramel and vanilla are really apparent in the scent; it smells almost like a candle or body spray, but the taste is more subtle. It definitely feels as indulgent as a warm scone or muffin but with tea, you can have so much more without feeling as guilty!
If made to the instructions on the pack (one spoonful brewed for 4 minutes) it's very very weak and you might as well have made a mugful of hot water. Brewed as a chai, however, it's very warming and smells delicious (and keeps the choc chips in the milk!). Add a spoonful and a half to each cup (I did 6 spoonfuls for 4 cups of milk), an equal amount of sugar, gently simmer for 10 so minutes then drink or store in the fridge. Although, if you're looking for something low effort, this isn't it.
What an amazing flavour - tastes just like aCaramel Brownie freshly baked. Great with or without milk - I didn’t need sugar as it was sweet enough for me
I love this tea and it's a nice tea my family and I drink on the weekends together. The one problem I do have with this tea is that you need more than the amount recommended for you to get a normal amount of taste. With the amount recommended, it tastes a little watery but adding an extra teaspoon goes a long way and the taste is amazing!
I was recently sent a T2 email - two loose leaf teas and you get a Caramel Brownie box for free. Since I was after a couple of new fruit tisanes for the cold brewed teapot I got for Christmas - off I went to the new Wollongong store, found what I needed, received the free gift and went straight back to work to brew a pot. Since I didn't have stovetops at work to brew and steep, this was all put together in my glass teapot, tea and milk combined. Let it rest for a few minutes - and it was like drinking a creamy pot of choc-caramel tea. Obviously not the same as a genuine hot chocolate, but a very nice, less guilty way to indulge and enjoy a long afternoon at work. Good stuff.
