I’ve never been a fan of matcha but am willing to try any of the samples in the T2 stores. When I went in last, they had three iced flavours of matcha to taste and my friend and I immediately picked up Salted Matcha Milkshake to buy.The tea was flavoured with soy milk and honey and had a sweet, creamy, almost earthy flavour. I made it warm at home and it was just as good, really comforting to sip. I’d definitely recommend it.Unless you want the full ceremony experience, you don’t need the bamboo whisk or matcha bowl they also sell. Shake it up if you’re making it cold or mix it with a fork or spoon if it’s hot. I use a whisk to get it nice and frothy.

I love the health benefits of Matcha tea, but hate the strong flavour of the plain green tea. This milkshake-inspired tea tastes just like Salted Caramel. I recommend adding a generous amount of honey and soy milk, on ice. The employees showed me this tea and the Berry Ripple, and now both are stables in my cupboard.

Delicious Taste, Amazing Smell and Addictive!

This is one of my all time favorite teas, delicious, mouth watering smell. Taste fantastic, no milk needed. Taste like a matcha caramel latte without the added calories of milk and syrup. The matcha grade is fairly good, it’s a good vibrant green color and no bitter taste. I deducted a star, because I feel it could be a bit cheaper. I have tried Japanese imported matcha in the 40-50 dollar price range and they are usually a deeper stronger green colour than this but not a huge problem as it taste amazing, and I’ve seen brown coloured matcha being sold for expensive prices here in Australia. So this was great to see.Far as I could find, there is no added artificial colours, no large quantities of sugar and/or salt, as well as no dangerous preservatives. I hope to see this staying on the site for years to come, as nothing compares to it.

20 June 2020

I tasted this in the Melbourne central store around 2 years ago and fell in love with the flavour but didn’t buy it then because of the price. However, I purchased it recently when browsing the shop, remembering how good it was years ago, and honestly it is my new favourite matcha blend from anywhere. Period. Sometimes matcha can be a bit too grassy tasting for me, but in here the leafy and umami notes are subdued (a good thing, in my eyes). There is a definite, caramelly sweetness to it, and a very slight saltiness, which enhances the other flavours more than anything else. The only thing holding me back from drinking this daily is the price...my self-control is being pushed to the limit not drinking this hourly!

Great taste

Great taste. Does taste better iced rather than warm. I personally have mine with rice milk and coconut milk with ice. Quite expensive for the size compared to competitors. I do love the high quality tin it comes in.

Matcha Magic

Love this tea, we have this as a treat every weekend now. Fairly expensive, but when you consider the cost of a Matcha Latte when out, this is actually good value. I make this with soy milk and always add some honey, it is fair to say both my husband and I are now addicted to this tea. Another great T2 tea.

My most favourite drink in the world!
7 April 2019

PLEASE BRING SALTED CARAMEL MATCHA MILKSHAKE BACK!I've had many products at T2 but this matcha powder is by far my most favourite.I originally bought it for the health benefits and the girl working at the shop recommended me to buy flavoured matcha as beginner and I'm so thankful for her advice. I regret not purchasing the bigger package because I want to drink this day and night. My 30g one finished so I'm eager to repurchase it.Recommending this to all my family and friends.

Weird flavour
24 January 2023

The weird sweet flavour is very artificial tasting and overpowers the matcha. The quality of matcha is also not great compared to the original. I wouldn't repurchase - I don't even think I can get through the tin I have :(

Yummy matcha!
30 May 2023

Yummy matcha, the flavour is so nice, switched to this after the matcha Jaffa latte got discontinued, pls bring that one back T2! However this one is really nice, I usually have my matcha with a bit of honey but I don’t need to since this one is a little bit sweeter. Really recommend if you’re wanting to get into matcha, T2 have really great quality products!

gateway matcha
18 August 2019

This is the gateway to liking matcha: for anyone who finds it hard to like, you will like this one. The Parra store showed me how to put the right amount of honey and milk to taste and I got addicted. So so happy this is back- it is now my work week midday pick me up and my weekend pre gym drink. The only thing I would suggest is to be more sustainable with the packaging- a lot of metal in the tin for a small pack inside, especially as it takes ages to go stale. It is nto environmentally responsible. Please T2 ficx the packaging and keep this permanently!!!!!
