I have just a few friends that also like hot and spicy just like me. Over the years we have debated on what hot sauce is the best; a close friend of mine swears up and down the Tabasco is the best. Where is I have always believed, and for decades, that Frankās red hot is it! My feelings was hurt last night when I found out that there was 130 or 140 mg of sodium in one serving. I discovered this, because I measured my blood pressure right after I ate. And⦠The hot sauce spiked my blood pressure. My blood pressure was approximately 131/82. SMH š¤¦āāļø immediately I placed a pick up order for today with Kroger. I purchased five different types of hot sauce, including Tabasco, that had a sodium counted of 50 mg or less. Although the other four are new to me, Tabasco sauce has always been a secondary option. However now itās moving up to first place, because it has a 35 mg of sodium per serving. Frankās red hot canāt beat that. Iām still disappointment in Frankās red hot; I looked for a lower sodium version, but there is none. Oh well. So long Frankās red hot!

This is a hot sauce I grew up on. Itās easily attainable, comes in large sizes and is good on everything. The heat level is medium for me. Too hot for my young kids, but not too hot for me. I love how vinegary it is. Granted it is a vinegar based hot sauce. I love the tang. I love it on eggs and Mac n cheese the most. Overall a great and necessary house hold hot sauce.

For the new initiates to the world of haberno this is the sauce to pique your interest. Be advised that this can start you on the dark path of jalapeno fueled debauchery. It seems so innocent at first, the sublime tingle at the tip of your tongue. The next thing you know you are travelling to the back alleys of seedy cities looking for your next fix. Bigger, better, bolder. You search to slate the thirst for more powerful attacks upon your senses. You need the fire. Eventually nothing but freebasing pure capsaicin and Dihydrocapsaicin will be enough for your depraved senses. Be advised.

I have always liked Mc IL Henny Co TABASCO Brand Sauces, and now I like this Green Pepper Sauce made from jalapenos. I just realized my husband accidentally bought the mild one, but that's okay. I will eat it anyway, but next time, I will ensure we get the hotter one. I am eating rosemary potatoes, eggs, and bacon in the picture, and any of the Tabasco sauces would have been great; however, I chose the jalapeno, which was fantastic. It gave my food a great taste without being too hot. I recommend all the Tabasco brand sauces, and I will continue to add them to my food for extra flavor.
I use Tabasco to make baked pork chops. I was using Frank's Red Hot, but this has much less sodium. It's spicier than Frank's so you don't need to use as much. The first time I tried it on the pork chops, I used the same amount as I would have if I was using Frank's and I was in tears. Once I learned that I was good to go. Great value with the big bottle that I haven't seen in grocery stores.
Tabasco does not disappoint. If you like a hot sauce with a little heat then this is for you. Tabasco opens up your nasal passages, so to speak, but doesn't quite make you break out in sweats. So it is a blend of a dry flavor with heat. The taste is very distinctive. Personally I love a variety of hot sauces and I reach for this one if I want the extra kick.
Tabasco for me goes on EVERYTHING, breakfast, lunch, dinner, even dessert! It is one of my major food groups (#sweepstakes). I always have a least two reserve bottles in my pantry. In fact, my favorite Superbowl commercial of all time is the guy who had the mosquito that bit him after pizza with a wonderful amount of Tabasco Sauce and then the mosquito exploded!!! OUTSTANDING!!!
This stuff has been around a long long time, way longer than me, 154 years. Now they've come out with all this new fangled fancy pants stuff and none of its got anything on the old standby. You need need heat ? Unlike the fancy pants stuff, with tabasco, just a shake or two will do and you dont have any seeds or skins to deal with. Tabasco is just the juice. But, you can quickly overdo it. Dont go crazy with that jar. All it takes is a spritz or two.
You wouldn't be ordering this if you weren't a 'hot sauce' person so this is only to advise you that this is a BIG BOTTLE. About the size of a small ketchup bottle. And about the price of the 'regular' small bottle in the grocery store - absolutely the BEST DEAL. I ordered three (!) thinking it was the short one. I have Tabasco for the next year at least! But that's OK with me - I love it on everything... it is the best-tasting hot sauce. I had it in the service, we ate it on MREs, but now I like it especially on eggs and fried egg or egg salad sandwiches, added to salsa and other Mexican food to spice it up, in tomato juice and Bloody Marys, plus an old rediscovered favorite - on fried pork rinds (chicharrones). I ate them all the time as a teenager in Arizona and am happy to discover I still have a taste for them. Love them as an accompaniment with my Friday afternoon martini! When you empty and clean/dry these big bottles they will make great salt and pepper shakers and one as a toothpick dispenser! jh in pa
i love this classic pepper sauce! the ingredients are still the same, pls see attachment. the Sodium says per tsp of serving is: 35 mg. this is perfect sauce, the LESSER the ingredients with no other chemicals junk added, the BETTER off the product is. trust me you dont want nothing more ingredients than that! in comparison with others brand name like the RedHot Wings, its Ingredients are these:Distilled Vinegar, Aged Cayenne Red Peppers, Salt, Water, Canola Oil, Paprika, Natural Flavor, Xanthan Gum, Natural Butter Type Flavor and Garlic Powder; Sodium 400.0mg per serving. i used to use this one in cooking hot wings, generously. but i can just use the tabasco to add it later on my buffalo wings as i eat them...Hope it works for you, too. Enjoy.
