I ordered the Starter Kit because I am training for my first marathon and I wasnt sure what I would like. So far I am loving Tailwind products. I have since gone and ordered the Recovery Mix as well. I have a very sensitive stomach and the endurance packs have not bothered me at all. The flavor is mild and also mildly sweet, which I appreciate, not a huge fan of over powering flavors on runs. The Recovery Mix is my new favorite thing, its refreshing, taste amazing and mixes really well with just water. After a long hot run its a perfect way to finish off. The endurance packets have definitely helped me through some of my super long runs, giving me that extra boost when I need it most. Very happy first time customer!

Tastes great and works even better. Muscles felt very well nourished the rest of the day and they were back to 100% for another workout the next morning. I found the flavor and texture to be appealing, and my stomach had no problems digesting this mix. I opted to use 16 oz of oat milk, but I can guarantee that even water would output a excellent product. The ease of scooping and shaking makes it a smooth transition after a tough run. This is a great tool in my belt as I train for a marathon this summer. Time to get out and hit the trail!

I absolutely love this product. I rode my mountain bike a little over 50 miles in 5 days and this was my answer to being able to still push it and go the speed I want to the whole time. I'm hooked. The chocolate flavor is amazing and still quenches the post ride thirst. I can actually feel my body getting what it needs to replenish myself. I'll go from low energy just staring off into space to ready to rock. Excited to try all of the flavors and will be using this product for all of my races! And really any excuse I can make for it.

Love the endurance fuel and the recovery! First time in years I can gulp on the run w/o cramping. And I can actually feel an energetic difference in my runs. Chocolate recovery is the only flavor that I liked. Huge new fan. My complaint is not being able to buy a larger bag. I guess there’s a price floor that TW won’t go below and we’re stuck ordering the size that works for them? The single serve packaging seems convenient/wasteful, definitely won’t use it. Overall very happy. I recommend it to all my active friends.
It’s not working for me very well. I use it to supplement calories during ultramarathons, but during the course of the last two races it make my stomach feel like it’s tied in a knot. The second I switch back to just water all the issues go away, but I have to rely on solid food the rest of the race, which completely defeats the purpose of using this product for me. I’ve tried both regular and the recovery mixes. In a 200km event I bailed at 92 miles because I didn’t realize it was the mix and it was too late. The last race I switched to just water 80 miles in, and all my stomach issues went away. Kinda disappointed in the product.
The Recovery Mix has been a agame changer for me. Instead of being so hungry after a long run and snacking non-stop on junk food, the Recovery Mix smoothie (a dash of milk, banana and 2 scoops of Recovery mix) makes me full and satisfied immediately. After an intense long effort the previous day, I feel ready to go and full of energy.I used it in an Ultra Trail race at the 80km marker as a food replacement when it was too hot to eat pasta, and it gave me the enrgy to run the next 4 hrs without feeling hungry or depleted!Great great product!
i have been using Tailwind for a while since a friend highly recommended. I don't use it every workout, but for really long runs/rides, the recovery mix is AMAZING. Often after a multi-hour exercise session this is the first thing I feel comfortable putting in my stomach, and I feel like it helps stabilize me. I'm not nearly as sore, cramped, as I am without it, and most importantly... between the recovery mix and hte endurance fuel, I never get dehydrated anymore! (for long runs and rides, I used to drink about all I could get in, but I'd still end up dehydrated, since I've been using tailwind, I have yet to be dehydrated even once!) i can't recommend the stuff enough. It's more expensive than some of the alternative products, but not having to deal with ... Morei have been using Tailwind for a while since a friend highly recommended. It's hard to overstate how tasty the chocolate Recovery mix is. (Don't get me wrong: the other flavors are terrific, too!) It tastes like a chocolate milkshake, but when I drink a chocolate milkshake, I feel overstuffed and full of regrets -- when I drink chocolate Recovery Mix, my stomach is happy, and so is the rest of me.I'm always amazed how much better I feel after drinking Recovery Mix, as opposed to everything else I've tried. It really hits the spot after a long trail run! (It is also awesome to stir into oatmeal when you're backpacking.)
I had to post a review after reading one from a negative reviewer stating that employees posted the positive reviews. Nothing could be further from the truth. I am a 65-year-old triathlete who has been using tailwind for the last five years. I’ve used it all.NOTHING ! REPEAT ABSOLUTELY NO PRODUCT CAN COMPARE WITH TAILWIND!!I could never have completed any of my 70.3 ‘without it. I live in Florida and use endurance formula just about daily in the summer. I love the recovery and actually use it during long endurance races for nutrition as well as recovery. All flavors are outstanding : it mixes beautifully on the go: It will hold its flavor in my hydration flasks for several hours if I have to pre-mix.But the agreeable gut factor is what really sold me on tailwind. ... MoreI had to post a review after reading one from a negative reviewer stating that employees posted the positive reviews. The heat and humidity in Florida will make the toughest of us have a rough tummy day. Tailwind is the ONLY PRODUCT I can stomach in 98* / 98% humidity days when I know I have to take in nutrition or stop.I am not an employee. I am not being compensated for this review nor would I ever consider taking compensation for a review. I don’t need the money and as a business owner myself I believe in paying a fair price for a good product . I am a loyal customer who says a prayer that you will never stop making this product. At 65 I need all the help I can get! This product is life changing for me.
I'm a big fan of a quick recovery shake after my long runs. Finding something tasty is difficult, especially after several hours of sweeter treats and beverages. The vanilla recovery is a great flavor for me, while it's sweet it's not overpowering and creamy rather then fruity. Easy to get down right away. I've also used it during long events where I want to make sure I'm getting a little protein in (for instance every 4 or 6 hours of a hundred miler). It goes down easy and is a good change of flavor to mix things up.
