Awesome camera - bought two and are very easy to set up provided you have a good wireless network but can be set up just as effectively via a wired network with the unique wiring set up on the device. Quick to set up and use with a variety of detection modes to enable as well as the ability to set the viewing area and viewing parameters. Can highly recommend this product. I have 6 cameras in total on my network including interior cameras, all from this brand. Retrieval of footage can be done via the network the camera is linked too but I believe if you opt for the cloud storage the footage can be downloaded from anywhere. Great and easy product to use and great piece of mind. The app allows to set all cameras to "Home" or "Away" mode quite easily for added benefit ... I’ve tried several inexpensive Chinese-made security cameras (from another online retailer) and so far the Tapo products are the best. The app is very comprehensive and easy for English speaking customers to use. Not something you see with other companies in this category.When I saw them on B&H I was delighted. I prefer shopping at B&H and it was an additional confidence booster to see that B&H has vetted this company.That being said the one feature that I wish Tapo would change is, when wifi is turned off the camera blinks a red light on the camera until the wifi is restored. This only serves to draw attention to the camera by intruders. No benefit to the homeowner.I hope they provide a firmware upgrade that allows users to turn that feature off.

First things first the TP-Link Tapo 2K Pan works fine, it records, it detects motion and sound, the video quality is decent and file size is small, night vision is good, I used a 128GB Micro SD memory card - no where does it tell you what size card it needs so I still dont know if mine is to big or small but its been recording fine for two weeks and not recorded over its old stuff yet.I disabled the motion tracking as I feel that is going to prematurely wear out the mechanical moving parts much to quickly - also afters its finished tracking something, dog, moth or human it just stops dead in it tracks where it lost site the object (this could be pointing at the roof or floor, a wall) I wish it would return back to preset base position - facing the main entry door ... Both cameras have 'Excellent Sig. Strength approx. -36dB RSSI so that's not the issue. Running Sandisk Extreme Pro 128Gb SD (4K capable) and also paid for Tapo's Subscription. Turned off ALL settings and left pretty much recording with AI Detection and also dropped back to 1080p from 2K. Only way to get everything back on track again is Full Router/Smart modem reboot which impacts the whole entire SmartHome setup. (running Telstra's Gen3 Smartmodem, with 3 meshed boosters. Only the cameras have the issue. On the plus side, these cameras do have a decent picture, frame rate is ok ...
