My laptop doesn’t have a lot of USB ports and I needed extra for my flash drives, wireless mouse, and wireless keyboard. I also use my laptop to charge things like my phone. This port hub was easy to plug right into my laptop so I could have extra ports to be as efficient as possible. I also like that it is portable and lightweight to throw in my laptop bag and go. I would highly recommend this hub if you need more ports.

We use this Targus 4-port USB Hub mostly in our car. With 5 of us needing to charge our phones at different times we used the 4-port hub to plug in different phone chargers for long car rides. It was able to keep up with charging a few phones at a time. This would also be great to plug into a computer so that you can add a mouse, cell phone, and other items needed when the computer only has 2 USB ports. Great, useful product!

I mainly use USB connections for music production hardware (plus wireless mouse and external harddrive). Needed a USB port with absolutely no lag, and the Targus 3.0 Hub does the trick. Nothing to say other than its worked perfectly for multiple months - no connectivity issues whatsoever!

This item was good. My computer only has 1 usb port so having additional ports makes this much easier to navigate. It is self-explanatory and easy to use. It's just a matter of plugging it in and using it. I did not notice a delay in data transfer or any other complications. My only complaint is the price. It does not feel like an item of high quality, but it cost over $30.
I bought this USB hub to replace a tp-link hub which failed when it was less than a year old. I already have two of this model (or at least one that looks exactly the same) that are five years old and are still going strong, so I was sure that I would have no problems.The hub is fast and transparent in the system. The first thing I ran through it was a 4TB file transfer, which it handled flawlessly.It just works, that's all you need to know.
This is very reliable and easy to use. My laptop only has one USB port and I really needed more because I wanted to charge my phone and use my mouse at the same time. I even tested the file transfer with my phone plugged in this and it transferred pretty fast without any problems. I highly recommend this if you need extra USB ports and also it’s light and convenient for on the go. This can be used for any Chromebook or laptop all you need is one USB port.
Great idea but don't buy if you want it to attach to a MacAir. I did ask if it would be O.K. and was advised YES. I needed to purchase a cable to attach My Epson XP-6100 printer (which is supposed to be WiFi but isn't) to the Mac. Purchased the Targus to connect from the printer cord to the MacAir. USB slot on the Mac is smaller.
I've purchased several USB multiport hubs before and this Targus is great for my use when I'm away from my office. I can transfer files quickly and seamlessly between my laptop and portable hard drive while having two other peripherals attached as well. Buy with confidence. Long life from Targus products.
Great little product. I need a few more USB ports for my laptop. I am a teacher and we have smartboards connected to our laptops and they take up a lot of the extra laptop ports. This product is perfect and gives me the few extra ports need for my flash drive. Works great and solves my problem.
As shown in one of the photos, it handles my thumb drive, mouse, & memory card reader just fine. However, up it to 4 items and depending on their width, you could have problems. The 3 slots are rather close together (see photo of trying to add a retractable thumb drive in, and it's won't fit). And know that it's not a charging station. Although the labeling on the package says it turns 1 USB port into 4, that's not entirely true (in my opinion). I mean it does, but keep in mind that those 4 ports will be sharing the power of 1, so it's not really like having 4 fully powered ports. Maybe that's why some people comment on issues with external hard drives etc. See my 3rd photo, and you'll see what it says that's including on the "inside" included insert.
