We have a 12 year old chihuahua mix, a 5 year old shepherd/husky, a 3 year old cattle dog mix, and a 1 year old pit/shepherd/cattle dog mix. A huge variety of tastes requires a great food to keep everyone happy! Southwest Canyon (and Pacific Stream) make our dogs so happy. My little picky one is so finicky about kibble and she always gets excited about breakfast and dinner with this food. My non-picky eaters had to get slow feeder bowls so they wouldn’t get sick. Honestly a perfect score for food, worth the price.

Feed Taste of the wild ""grain free""venison and bison to my GSP and Maltese For 4 years almost and started feeding it to my 14 month old silver lab when we got him. My lab is allergic to Grain an so is my Maltese so it was great and it is high protein for my pointer so double great. Then one day I notice something very different about the product. White grain looking objects lodge in the food and free floating throughout the bag. Contact taste of the wild because I knew from years of handling the dog food that something wasn't right. After going back and forth they told me it was barely in the food. That there must have been a mistake when switching over and making products. So after I notified them hoping the problem was solved went out a few weeks later and bought ... MoreFeed Taste of the wild ""grain free""venison and bison to my GSP and Maltese For 4 years almost and started feeding it to my 14 month old silver lab when we got him. They tried to tell me at first that it wasn'ts ""barely""now but ""cull peas"". Finally after going back and forth with their Quality control manager he finally seen the light of day and realized that it was barely once again. Then he said he pulled ""samples"" from that batch and could find no evidence Of barely and there was nothing else he could do on the matter and he had receive no other complaints on the matter. Well that right their sent me over the edge. Because i have evidence Of barely in their high priced grain free dog food I buy specifically For my animals health and they did almost nothing on the matter beside pull a sample they have. How can you do A thorough investigation without pulling some of their product off the market to Identify the problem. I will no longer support this company or brand because they do not care for the health of the animals and they do not care about the Quality of the product they supply to us. I'm thoroughly disgusted With the way they handle the matter

I had Jack Daniels on a different brand and had to borrow some of my roommates food who used TotW, Jack LOVED it! He has a very sensitive tummy, and had some really scary instances when changing brands in the past. 6 or so years later, and a second dog, its the only brand of food I'll use. They have a variety of Grain Free options, so Jack Daniels and Whiskey aren't stuck with just one or two flavors, and we have haven't had any scary food/tummy moments!

This brand has so far been fantastic. Between my dog having a sensitive stomach and being picky to boot it's a pain finding a kibble he will eat and not throw up. Taste of the Wild meets both these problems and is a higher quality dog food, while still not breaking the bank. As for flavors, apparently there is a noticeable difference between them and my dog gets more excited for his wild bacon than he does the venison and bison.
We’ve fed our pup this food since 8 wks old when we got him. The difference in their coat and even teeth is incredibly noticeable. I don’t know if this is related but I have to give credit to great nutrients and food- but my dogs TEETH are the most beautiful sparkling white I’ve ever seen. People ask what we are feeding him or if we take him to get his teeth cleaned. lol We love the flavor variety. Since Elmo is a hog hunting dog, it only makes sense to get the wild boar flavor My wife has a 14 year old dog that she’s had since 8 wks and he has had pedigree history whole life. He’s always had dandruff and dull coat and it’s clear that consuming processed dog food contributed to it all
For years we had been searching for the best dog food for our pup. Some food gave her digestive issues, some she wasn't interested in eating, and some we felt didn't give her the energy she needed. Until we tried Taste of the Wild. She's been eating Taste of the Wild for about 7 years now and we won't be switching. Every time we order a new bag we get a different flavor, so she gets a good variety of nutrition. Her favorite is the wild boar recipe!
My girl is going on 8 and has been eating Taste of the Wild for a long time. But she seems to get bored eating the same flavors. She just finished a bag of Southwest Canyon with Wild Boar (I believe her fav) and now is alternating between Pacific Stream with Smoked Salmon and Sierra Mountain with Roasted Lamb. She competes in Agility and Barn Hunting, and lives on our farm. She gets lots of exercise, so she needs good food. I am so glad that Taste of the Wild offers so many varieties, I can feed her one flavor in the A.M. and another in the P.M. She is a large dog 55-60 lbs, but I only buy the small bags so that I can buy 2 to 3 different ones to alternate and keep her interested. She has eaten all of the flavors including the Angus limited ingredient.
My boy Jack is a super healthy 9 year old mix. I have had him since he was about 6 months old. Taste of the Wild has been his only kibble. I can depend on all Taste of the Wild.products to give him the nutrition he needs. Still at 9, he roams our rural neighborhood all day some days and sometimes chases deer at night. His favorite thing to do is run I think. Thank you for the time and consideration you put in your products. We are now a family of two dogs. Suki, an 8 month old 70 pound German shepherd who is also excelling on Taste of the Wild products, is our newest addition.
We recently got a Weimaraner and breeder had started her on a different brand that didn’t seem to agree with her stomach. Pup had some pretty consistent stomach issues and gas so after some research we decided to give this brand a try. We were looking for a higher protein content then some of the other brands and decided to go grain free due to our puppy having a sensitive stomach. Being a high energy, active breed we wanted quality ingredients that wouldn’t weigh her down and this seems to do the trick. The excessive gas seems to be gone with the switch and her stomach issues are a thing of the past. She gobbles this food down so I’m assuming it tastes good too. We looked at more expensive brands but the ingredients on this one were too good to pass up for the ... MoreWe recently got a Weimaraner and breeder had started her on a different brand that didn’t seem to agree with her stomach. We looked at more expensive brands but the ingredients on this one were too good to pass up for the price. My only complaint is that I wish they made a bigger bag than the 28lbs. With the larger breeds, we go through this pretty quickly.
We’ve always fed the run of the mill, big brand dry food. A couple weeks ago, our 2 year old Australian Pyrenees was vomiting and had the worst, uncontrollable diarrhea. After a trip to the vet and no known cause, we switched to grain-free everything and Taste of the Wild dry and wet food. It was the best decision ever. Not only do the dogs enjoy it, they’re actually noticeably calmer at night. Even our picky princess GSD loves it and it’s helped her tremendously. I highly recommend grain-free, and I highly recommend Taste of the Wild!
