Tatami Fightwear Estilo Black Label BJJ Gi - White/White A6

Introducing the Estilo Black Label, the latest iteration of Tatami's longest running Jiu Jitsu Kimono. The Estilo was first launched in 2010 and helped to propel Tatami to its position of the number 1 global Jiu Jitsu brand. Spanning over a decade of development and improvement the Estilo Black Label is the finest BJJ Gi Tatami has ever produced. Many of the features of the Estilo Black Label make it the ultimate Jiu Jitsu Gi for jiujiteiro of any experience level. High quality embroideries adorn the shoulders of the jacket and outside leg areas of the pants. The new Estilo logo and the Tatami Katakana have been placed on the jacket and pants to add a subtle hint of aesthetic charm. A sublimated neck yoke and side vent lining adds to the premium qualities of the Estilo Black Label, along with printed cuff and jacket taping along the periphery of the kimono. The weight of the jacket and pants remains the same as all other Estilo models, like it has been for over a decade. The Estilo Black Label continues to incorporate Tatami Y-Vent technology, providing a full wrap around of the jacket and optimum fit. The Estilo Black Label sizing chart has been slightly tweaked to make the fit better across all sizes and to align with other Tatami Gi models.

I’m 5’ 7 so bought the long. The waist is massive. Almost needs an in between size for those who are tall and light.Collar sits quite close around the neck and the embroidery along the shoulders reduces some flex in the fabric around that area. I wasn’t blown away by it given the price point but as I’m starting out could only compare to my academy gi. The stitching on the sleeve then failed so have sent it back for full refund. Tatami customer services were so efficient and sorted out the returns ASAP. Possible it was just a fluke as I know a lot of people I train with use tatami.

Excellent Delivery, Bad Situation with the Product

Hello,The purchase and delivery process was excellent (as always). But 3.5 weeks after starting to use the product, we have a bad situation - the pants tore along the stitch from hips to knee while de la riva drill of blue belts. This is the 9th gi we've had in our family for the last 4 years - bought directly or via our BJJ club (Twisted JJ) and this is the first situation like this, so we believe it is an accidental case. But still, for us this is 1 brand new gi which is half usable :-(May we have another pair of pants from the same model/ size in exchange, according to Tatami Fightwear's policies?I copy-paste the text as a reply to the email with pics attached. Thanks in advance for your cooperation!Oss!

Nice, well made and durable gi. I ordered F2L as I’m a size 6-8 with long arms and legs. The length of the sleeves and trousers are good, although the width of the body and waist/bum are huge. But I have an awkward body. Hoping the gi shrinks a little more in the next wash! If you don’t have an awkward body you’ll love this gi.

Good winter Gi
14 April 2023

Good ladies cut. The women’s sizes are much more sensible these days. I’m a 73kg, 5’6 weight lifting long time grappler and the F3 fits so well I actually look fairly smart . Accommodates my broader shoulders and gives a good enough wrap around my middle, (which isn’t the leanest it could be ).Pretty heavy though. More of a winter gi and one that’ll become more and more comfortable with time as it’s worn in and softened up a little

Great cut and fit
20 July 2021

I've had this gi for about 5 months now. This is my second gi from Tatami in the same size (F3L), however this one is a significant improvement from the last. The gi fit perfectly right out of the bag. For the price it is incredibly high quality. The material is soft and has held up great through training and washing. The look of it simple yet it has just enough branding to be attractive to the eye. I like the contrast with the black Tatami drawstring, it add some color to the pants. I also really like the curved skirt detail, it looks pretty and fits snug to the body. The sizing is perfect. The cut is the best part of these gi. Tatami did a women's cut very, very well. They are fitted but not form fitting like my Hyperfly gi's so I have space to move and they can accommodate someone who carries a little more weight in their lower body. The jacket's sleeves and skirt are just long enough, but it doesn't have bunching in the back like what I typically deal with ordering regular gi's for my height not my weight. It didn't shrink much when I attempted to shrink the jacket to my liking, but just enough to get it to where I wanted it.If you are a taller, longer-limbed person I really recommend this gi!

Need more women’s sizes for all bodies
15 February 2021

I had to try a men’s gi because they don’t carry my size in women’s. I’m a size 14-16 in regular clothing. Their women’s weight chart doesn’t even include my weight. This is a huge problem across BJJ sites. I was literally buying this gi as a celebration of my promotion to Black Belt. So, the gi itself was nice. I liked the quality of the fabrics. But I’m giving 3 stars because I’m disappointed they don’t carry anything for larger sizes for women and trying a men’s cut didn’t work, the top was huge and the pants were still just barely too small. Tatami is a well known brand and should really make an effort to be more inclusive of different body types.

Not quite an Estilo Gi
19 February 2022

I've always been a fan of the estilo gis. High quality materials, well made and a good fit. This gi isn't bad but the quality did not feel the same standard as previous estilo gis. I have only ever wore A2 tatami gis and they have always fit well, this one felt very tight around the shoulders in comparison to others and that's before a few washes. Overall for me this did not fit or feel like a premium gi and was not worth the £100 price tag. I was pretty dissapointed so I ultimately returned it - I'd love to buy a V6 again! Me giving a 3 star is generous.

Superb Gi
30 January 2023

I've been struggling to find a suitable Gi for my frame however this particular range is exactly what I need. I'm a former powerlifter that stands at 5'9 and 100kgs. I've struggled to find Gi's in the past however the A3S has fit like a glove. The Gi is very strong, I've rolled in it several times and it still looks like new and has held it's shape. It also hasn't shrunk in the wash after multiple washes which is a relief as I've encountered that in the past. I'll be buying another one in the Estilo range in the coming weeks as I've increased the amount of sessions I'm doing each week. Overall this is a Gi I'm really happy with.

Tatami original my thoughts.
9 June 2021

*fit and cut is more athletic which means less baggy and when rolling is a lot lighter.*I am still learning about gi material but this weave holds up.*Looks, man I never looked so good I love the minimalist approach to the gi .*the gi shrinks just a touch (nothing crazy)the first wash.worked in my favor.*The only draw is stitching which has not tour or broke just noticed some frayed stitching but holding strong.*Im a blue collar man with two kiddos it’s nice to know I can get a awesome gi for a great price from a top brand.Thank you tatami for making a gi that a working man can afford.*don’t Evan think about it just buy it!

somewhat dissapointed
19 September 2022

It wasn't sized very well and has arms slightly longer than my original gi in the next size up, yet it has shorter trousers. I have even washed it at 60deg to see if I can get the top to match properly. The jacket was missing the black trim at the bottom, which is in the pictures on the site. Many loose threads also had to be pulled out.In future, I will most likely try a different brand, I expected better at this price.
