Did not live up to the hype

When I heard/saw the hype for this product, I thought this could at last be the replacement I’d been looking for, as my fave product had been discontinued. Trust me, I wanted to love this product but I found it not worth the hype unfortunately.I used this as a final step in my routine and found that when applied after serums, it left a white residue on my skin that wouldn’t seem to rub in. It did feel moisturising but felt that it left my skin looking dull. After using for a few days, I noticed breakouts along my jawline and in other areas I don’t usually get spots and my skin felt unusually textured. I would not recommend this product if you are after a glowy, lit from within or glass skin look. I bought this one a while ago in Dublin - I ran out of the lala retro whipped creme while travelling and at the time this product wasn't available in Australia hence I was tempted to try it.I absolutely love this cream. It's very hydrating. I use it day & night in combination with other products. To be honest both protini and lala whipped went really well with my existing routine and in combination with serums/SPF/tinted moisturiser I've been already using. I'd say protini is more lightweight, lala whipped was useful in winter time. When I wake up in the morning my skin is still hydrated and the product remains on my skin until I cleanse it which is def a pro. I appreciate that it's not peeling off when I apply SPF & tinted moisturiser on top which some have been ... MoreI bought this one a while ago in Dublin - I ran out of the lala retro whipped creme while travelling and at the time this product wasn't available in Australia hence I was tempted to try it.I absolutely love this cream. Everything comes together nicely and my skin looks dewy. I honestly think it's a great product, for me definitely up there with tatcha.I find the packaging useful (unpopular opinion). I am mental about not using my fingers when scooping moisturiser because of bacteria. I don't need extra applicator to scoop the cream and it dispenses the exact amount I need.

Fabulous!!

After trying a sample of this I love it and have invested in the full size. My skin is beautifully soft, plump and smooth. My skin is normally dry ish, this is more than enough without being greasy or heavy. I’m sure it would suit most skin types.Sits really well under makeup too. No strong fragrance either.Definitely enjoying this so far and will definitely repurchase.

Great Moisturiser!
7 May 2023

I bought this a month ago and it has been very good so far! I first bought the La La Retro cream but after reading reviews and using twice, i noticed that it wasn't the best for my skin. it felt quite heavy and made my skin look greasy. however this one is so much better. it is lightweight and doesn't cause any pimples. it is also very moisturising and good for dry/combination skin. i like the packaging because i can mix it with my other serums face oils easily. it is definitely on that more expensive side, but it's worth it!

Haven’t been using it long enough
27 March 2023

I’m not too sure if this particular facecream is any better than some of the other leading brands on the market that are probably half the price only time will tell whether or not this cream is worth it and if I’ll be purchasing it again but so far is doing its job. A little goes a long way. It doesn’t make my skin feel really oily after use my make up applies well after using this product I can’t haven’t really got anything negative to say except the price range. If it was a little bit cheaper I would probably recommend it more but considering the price you could probably get a cream that does the job just as well at a better priceSkin does not break out which is great

LOVE! Instant noticeable results
13 March 2023

I was so impressed with this cream. I started using it when my skin was going through a breakout, it was red and inflamed and nothing else was helping. Literally within 3 days this cream had started to have noticeable affects on my skin. It calmed it and active breakouts decreased significantly. My skin felt soft and plump and my texture was starting to smooth out. Seriously impressed and was not expecting such quick and legit results.

So disappointed
9 March 2023

I bought this a couple of months ago, wondering if it was worth the hype after seeing so many good reviews. Unfortunately, I was fooled by the cute and aesthetic packaging. This moisturiser made me break out after one use. I knew that the protini moisturiser was the problem as I have been using the same skin routine for years and finally decided to add something new. Instead of wasting $113 on a horrible product just for the aesthetic, save your money.

So good!
2 March 2023

I bought this on pre-release and it really lives up to its reputation. It is a super soothing, skin loving treatment that delivers visible results. I had a micro-tear on my forehead that appeared quite red, but within days after introducing this cream it healed completely.Had it not been for this cream launching on the same day as Augustinus Bader I’d say it’s the best thing going in skincare. And at $113, if cost is an issue, try this first. It’s fantastic and bang for your buck. But after trying the Augustinus Bader Soothing Cream, that’s the HG skincare cream. But $437! Pro-tini is amazing, AB soothing cream is amazing-er, and $300+ difference makes this a very appealing option for those needing some skincare TLC.

The Holy Grail I’ve Been Looking For
23 April 2023

While I’ve been blessed with good genes, I’d been looking for an upgrade for my moisturizer for some time after noticing signs of aging. Just my skin texture becoming average. Anyway, I bought a whole tub of this on a whim and I’m glad I did. My skin drunk this up like an elephant! I’ve never experienced a moisturizer soak in like that. Turns out my skin knew it needed this. After a week my skin is silky soft, texture improved- stronger bouncier, glowy-er. I’m truly amazed! This has been a game changer for me!

Works hard
23 March 2023

I’ve been using Lala retro DE moisturiser for years but I would prefer to continue using this one! It feels lighter at first but I find once applied to skin it feels a lot richer and moisturising. It leaves a very subtle, nice ‘coating’ feeling on my skin, keeping everything sealed. The past 30 days of using it, my skin is definitely looking brighter and fresher when I wake up in the morning. I also find I need to use less than the Lala retro… I used to use about a pump and a half, with Protini I only need one pump.
