These paint bases are a medium for holding tint and contain little to no titanium dioxide which is the pigment used for whiteness and opacity.The white base can be used off the shelf, but coverage is improved dramatically when a small amount of tint is added, for example when tinted to: Builder's White, Lexicon Quarter, Miss Universe, Princess Bling, White on White, etc.

I have used Taubmans paint before and it was excellent. Not so this easycoat. It required 3 - 4 coats to cover evenly - even though the old colour was not very strong. I thought the good price was because I was buying 6L - turns out it is just inferior paint. I think I will go back to Dulux and haymes next time

Very poor coverage, I am very cynical about the painters that indicate otherwise. I understand that Taubmans is changing this formula - if it was so good, why would it be needing to do that? Taubmans have some fantastic quality painting products including primer, but this is not one of them. Spend the additional money to get Dulux wash and wear or similar and save yourself time and money in the long run.

I previous painted my old house in 2013 with non Microban paint top layer with an Easycoat Undercoat with Microban, but I had reoccurring mold issues on the side walls of the house, in problem rooms year's on, I had to use bleach like every 6 to 12 months to clean it. So Mid 2019, I decided to repaint the house, after some research, I read that the Zinc in Microban and Gloss was the best keep bacteria and mold at bay, So I used Dulex Undercoat and Taubmans Gloss EasyCoat(With Microban), ever since then I have not had a mold problem growing on the walls.Even looking now at the non aired area on side of the wall with the cupboard, I can see mold on the skirting, but no mold on the Gloss Easy Coat Paint just above it, you also notice the gloss. These bases are awful! Completed two coats and would've needed at least two more to come close to looking okay. Paint spattered everywhere with the roller because it was so watery - ruined duvet cover and had to repaint the trims. Stopped after two coats, went back to store to colour match the Taubmans colour into a Dulux base. No paint spatter with Dulux and a nicer finish even after just one coat. Will never buy Taubmans bases again after this experience. Use at your own risk (and expense).
Being open minded to listen to Bunnings advice I was lead to believe this was a great product. After 5 house renovations I feel almost experienced enough to comment. In house reno number 6 I ended up rolling 3 coats of paint in the same bedroom but found it extremely difficult to see where I had been, luckily I segmented the room with a level laser to ensure I thoroughly completed the painting using a quality roller but the finish was disappointing - I was left with an obvious patchwork quilt finish after drying, very blotchy. Will attempt to spray a final fourth coat with my airless spray gun as it is impossible to roll on. An extremely expensive and time consuming exercise. Come on guys, at these prices you charge this stuff should apply itself.
Even after about 5 coats, still doesn't look solid. Very poor, thin coverage per coat. Paint is something I usually don't scrimp on budget-wise, getting the best quality because otherwise it's false economy, more coats needed, more time. I actually thought Taubmans was a good brand which is why I bought. I will avoid in future though. Will always go with Dulux or, if I can find it, the Australian brand Haines which is probably even better than Dulux. Don't think Bunnings stocks Haines though.
I bought this about 3 months ago, luckily it was only one can as I was/am painting an entire house, even with the Taubmans 3 in one primer/sealer underneath the easy coat ceases to amaze with how bad of a finish it gives. Rolling it slowly, and being super careful not to squish the watery liquid onto the wall marginally helps.Cutting with feathering also came up patchy. Honestly just go with a different paint you won't regret it
I recently purchased this in the "accent base".This paint has been an absolute nightmare! I have used 4L in a small laundry and I still have to keep going! I will be purchasing dulux to do the last coat/coats. I have applied 4 coats already! The paint has the consistency of food colouring added to water! It dries soooo patchy!! The problem is because it's so thin when you roll over your roller line to even the coat out you remove some of the paint which is normal but because it's so thin it basically removes the whole layer leaving it with some thicker coats and some thinner ones. Do yourself and your wallet a favour and pay the little extra and get Dulux!
Decided to paint interior walls from off white to white. It's taken 4-5 sometimes 6 coats to get any sort of coverage. Bought the 15L tub hoping to get all if not most of the house done. Unfortunately I've only managed to do 2 bed rooms and the hall way. The consistency of the paint is extremely runny/watery. Please DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY OR TIME with Taubmans easy coat semi gloss white paint. Went on product review Australia tonight and 90 people have complained about the exact same thing. Spend the extra money to get Dulux or even use brittish paints. This paint is not worth it.
