Only a year ago we were talking about how Taylor might have made her best album (Lover) but I was wrong. After listening to her 8th studio album - Folklore, I've found myself escaping into a magical world with imagery, metaphors and well-crafted songwriting. This is her best work yet and knowing what Taylor Swift is capable of, she's not afraid to take risks in her never stopping career, that's she's proved time after time again and I know there's more to come from her genius creativity. This critically acclaimed album will be nominated at the Grammy's for Album Of The Year, no doubt. Might even win, if they even acknowledge art that reaches beyond expectations..who knows. But Folklore, is currently my 2nd favorite album from her discography after 1989 and I can't wait for her to re-record her first 5 albums to attain her masters this year.For now, Folklore on-repeat 24/7 :)

20/10 album

Folklore is my second favourite album behind evermore. These two albums are so beautifully and carefully written that the lyrics tell a story that can also be interpreted in your own way. Taylor swift you really are a mastermind 💕

A Phenomenal Record by One of the Greatest Songwriters Ever

'folklore' is a phenomenal record full of hidden gems. Taylor's songwriting has always been one of her strongest skills as an artist, and this album is a testament that. Every song is beautifully written, showcasing her captivating storytelling ability. The album seems to have elements of all of her previous records woven into it and, as someone who has loved Taylor's music for over a decade now, this makes 'folklore' even more special. In ‘folklore’, I hear remnants of her unique past and see glimpses of her promising future. It is yet another record by Taylor that will have an everlasting impact. ‘folklore’ again solidifies Taylor Swift as one of the greatest songwriters and artists of our generation.

Album of the Year

My review may be biased because I've been a hardcore Swiftie for more than 10 years, but this is Taylor's best album to date. There's no denying Taylor's success over the years and this surprise album really shows her extremely talented songwriting and passion for storytelling she's been highly known for, while being a step into a completely new genre she's never done before. If you're a fan of alt indie folk pop or indie pop you will love this. Even if you're a fan of her old work from the Fearless/Speak Now era Taylor on this album has taken her past iconic country pop/rock style and sound and have really matured it! If you've liked ANY of her songs in the past you wouldn't want to miss this.

Best album of 2020 - official, it won the Grammy!

Quite different to previous TS albums, yet the lyrics have little links to earlier songs and times, here and there. For many this album captured the mood of 2020, with reflections on life and past loves, as well as possible futures. Combines the usual personal lyrics and stories based on fantasy, or historic characters. Her Reputation album made me a fan, Lover in 2019 was great, but for me Folklore is her best, and most grown up album yet (until Evermore). Adult lyrics on a couple of songs may surprise a few fans, but in context they felt real and relatable. One of Taylor’s best

Taylor Swift is a master songwriter. Over the past 7 years, this is something that has regularly been sidelined by glossy pop production and a quest for chart success (yes, I’m looking at you Reputation). However it was the deep album tracks such as Clean off 1989 and Soon You’ll Get Better off last year’s Lover that reminded us that that songwriter has never really left. Whether it’s the result of a global pandemic or a new maturity as Taylor turns 30, Folklore is modern Taylor writing an album like Old Taylor. Not really country but much more indie folk with a dash of electronica. A collaboration with Aaron Dessner from The National, Taylor’s storytelling is the central feature of this album, with the highlights being lead single Cardigan, Mirrorball, Seven, ... MoreTaylor Swift is a master songwriter. This Taylor Swift album is her best yet. Especially for those who have grown up listening to her music. It is a more mature folk sound, as the title suggests. The album has poetic lyrics that take the listener on a cinematic journey, with the stories they evoke. Some songs bring tears to your eyes, because of their aching and heart breaking lyrics. A yearning for past loves and a younger fanciful life, that the characters can not return to. Why some people might miss the pop gems Taylor had managed to master with her albums 1989, Reputation, and Lover. This album sees Taylor trying to (and managing to) push herself with her song writing. And also those she chose to work with. Obviously she wanted to work with songwriters and producers she respected, and who took her ... MoreThis Taylor Swift album is her best yet. But a 5 star album never the less. I Recommend it as the best album of 2020, and one of Taylor's best.

Unexpected sweet melancholy

Well I’ve never bought a Taylor Swift album before. Not even sure I’ve listened to her on YouTube playlists. Normally I have 2CH 1170am in my office at work, but decided to mix it up and fired up YouTube and searched for some folk music. Well I ended up with Folklore as a top hit so why not?Well. It’s lovely, bittersweet and full of interesting stories. Social commentary, private thoughts and sweet musings abound. And I know own it!Who knew. Beautiful.

absolutely beautiful

i can sum up this album in two words-absolutely beautiful.i have been a fan of Taylors' since Fearless.this album is unlike any of Taylors' previous albums.there are so many excellent tracks on this album.the standout track to me is track 7 called Seven.the new songwriting team of Taylor and Aaron Dessner is an absolute winner.hope they continue to co-write on Taylors' future albums.the best tracks on this album are co-written by Taylor and Aaron.the maximum amount of stars i could give on this album is 5,if i could haves would have given it more.In the Trees-Folklore is a massive step up from Lover.
