Awesome ball!

I started using the SPEEDSOFT golf ball after a friend told me about them. The golf course I play at is giving a sleeve of them away with some promo deal and my friend said that the customers are coming back for more. Well…I found a lost one out on the course and thought I would give it a try! I have been using it for the last few weeks (thats a miracle in itself that I haven’t lost it yet lol) and I try not to be a golf ball snob but I can truly tell the difference between the SPEEDSOFT and my other go to ball. I like the distance improvement I’ve noticed, better control when I’m chipping and putting. All around I am sold and will keep using them. I love the colored Ink ones…those are my favorite!

I purchased a box of white SpeedSoft and a box of red splatter ink. Cool looking ball no doubt. I’m just under 100mph with my driver swing. After much deliberation and reading the theory behind TaylorMade technology that went into the SpeedSoft I went for it. Off the tee I noticed less spin, less fade or draw although I did find it workable. On my first two rounds (both days were in the 50*-60* range) I had just one tee shot that felt squishy. Otherwise solid off the tee and distance wasn’t noticeably affected. It’s very durable as one gravel cart path and a couple “tree” woods were up to the test. When I wanted to flight down with a stinger I prefer a TP5 which really feels solid after using the SpeedSoft. For the price you need to give the SpeedSoft a try. I have to say that this is the best ball I have played in a long time. I am a mid handicapper and have tried many different golf balls from premium on down. I have a slower swing speed so the higher compression golf balls just don't go that far off the tee, but the biggest problem is around the green with very little to no spin. The Taylormade Speedsoft shoots off the face of the driver, has greater distance off the tee with the flight of the ball is just what one would expect. I found that the shots from the fairway or rough are about the same as other balls, however, the biggest advantage I found is around the greens, chipping/pitching. The soft feel just has helped me get the ball air bound but with sufficient spin to stop and/or with minimal roll out towards and ... MoreI have to say that this is the best ball I have played in a long time. Great ball for the $
17 August 2024

I love to try different golf balls. Different compressions and different layers. I was super excited to try this ball and I think this will be my new ball throughout the year. Off the tee I didn't notice much difference. As I got 150 out I was amazed. This ball held greens so well for a 2 piece. Mid summer with harder greens this ball was peeling the grass back when landing. I've never seen a 2 piece ball do this.. Short chips would check and release better than others I've used. I can imagine this ball will be amazing in the colder/wet weather. Feeling of the ball was soft but not a marshmallow like other "soft" balls. If you are looking for a cheaper ball that holds greens on approach, this is the ball.

Immediate benefits!
13 August 2024

I played a half dozen different balls this year trying to upgrade from my old Super Soft. I kept going back to the SS until this ball came out. At first I was mad at Taylor Made for discontinuing the Soft Response since I thought I would be using it, but I couldn't be happier with its replacement. This is the longest ball I have ever used. It flies straight and has a great feel around the greens. After only three rounds I have had more birdies, and have shot a personal best low score with this ball. Immediate Improvement! Of course, like any ball it should match your swing speed and this 50 compression does that perfectly for me

Performance, Style and Affordability.
19 April 2024

I ordered a dozen of the Speedsoft balls because I liked the color design. I've now played a couple of rounds with the ball and I am completely enamored with them. I also play the TP5's, but the Speedsoft are an excellent golf ball. The feel off the club is solid, yet soft. The ball flies true and doesn't accentuate a mis-hit. I get good height with it and it lands softly on the green. Also, it is very controllable with my short pitch shots. Oh, and it putts just like the more expensive balls. I am a senior that still hits from the whites and my swing speed has probably dropped to right around 100 mph. The Speedsoft ball fits perfect for my game.

Probably the first true FORGIVING golf ball!!
18 April 2024

I have played three rounds already with these balls. Instantly saw great results after these rounds. I am low 90s golfer and struggle with consistency on my swings and contact. This ball has great flight after contact and just has a slow motion feel to it. Had an easy time staying in the fairway or close to it even on slices or draws. Just feels like a forgiving ball. I made bad contact a few time and that’s where the softness of this ball comes into play because they shots were still playable and manageable even with bad contact. Around the greens it’s soft off the wedges and irons. The putting is where it took a little used to. I felt it fast off the putter. But after I figured that out I was sinking them. I used to like the distance plus balls because of the ... MoreI have played three rounds already with these balls. Instantly saw great results after these rounds. Senior Golfer and SpeedSoft comparison
20 March 2024

I am a senior golfer and drive the ball about 225 yards. I am comparing the TaylorMade SpeedSoft to my prior ball and direct competition which is the Callaway SuperSoft. The Speedsoft has just a tad harder feel but goes a bit farther than the Supersoft. Iron distance was about the same. Where I sensed an advantage of the Speedsoft over the Supersoft was in stopping on approach shots. It appears to have some "bite" in checking up on the green. Feeling off the putter was very similar and chipping had a nice soft feel. Color is a very bright yellow and the ball is easy to see. I will continue to play this ball.

Speed Soft Review
1 April 2024

I bought a sleeve today before playing to try them out as I was impressed by the commercials. I typically will play any TaylorMade ball but being a realist, I know I don't have the swing speed to compress a TP5 with Driver, Woods, etc.; I can get satisfactory results from the TaylorMade Tour Response and Tour Soft. This new ball was as advertised; Had several long drives hitting from the senior tees that were longer than my buddies (12-15 years my junior) playing from the regular Men's tees. For my use I'll use it again for long drives situations. Additionally the ball was durable, I used 1 ball on at minimum 10 holes and I'll be able to play it again. I will buy a box of 12 of the Speed Soft I did like the ball that much. That's the best recommendation I can give.
