After twenty years of development, the titanium era is over. An entirely new 60X Carbon Twist Face is 44% lighter than the equivalent titanium face while also being 11% bigger than the SIM2 and SIM2 Max drivers and almost 20% bigger than 2020’s SIM driver. Sixty layers of strategically designed carbon fibre gives optimal energy transfer and high ball speed over a large face, producing maximum distance and forgiveness. The face has also been furnished with a revolutionary new technology where a polyurethane nano-texture coating finely tunes the launch angle and back spin for maximum distance in all conditions. The weight saved with the 60x Carbon Twist Face allowed for a track with a sliding ten gramme weight. This gives control of the trajectory by shifting mass in the sole and creating the desired ball flight. An asymmetric Inertia Generator gives outstanding aerodynamic properties and the very quick head contributes to a higher swing speed on the down swing for golfers at all levels. TaylorMade’s most flexible Thru-Slot Speed Pocket construction gives maximum ball speed and additional forgiveness on thin hits.

Pretty disappointed in the condition of the club. It was rated certified preowned but has significant wear some kind of white paint or marker in the slider weight groove plastic hangnail on the speed pocket worn face. The grip is more dirty and worn than the head. Kind of shocked at the quality. Most of my clubs are from Global Golf and for the first time I’m pretty disappointed especially since they are Taylormade’s preowned outlet. Sound, feel and performance are good but I’m going to return it based on the condition.

When I first tested this driver I knew it was something special. From the very first time I hit it it just felt really good! Figured out the numbers with the right shaft combo and my mind is blown away with how forgiving, accurate, and explosive this thing was! When I first had my driver built I started playing rounds with it and I’ve always struggled with the high tow miss on Taylormade drivers. Seemed like those misses would just fall out the sky, and I’ve always played a Taylormade driver ever since the original m2 was released. In summary, when I took it on the golf course the higher toe miss was actually staying in the sky and giving me the chance to hit the fairways! No excuses now! I am 58 years old. I have played golf since I was 12 years old. The equipment that I have used in my time on the golf course has changer tremendously over the years! I bought a Stealth Plus and made the decision to customize it to a yellow face instead of the standard red. I'm a Iowa Hawkeye fan and it looks great. Anyway, this driver has exceeded my expectations. It's been at least five years since I have driven a par four. I reached two par fours just this last weekend and laid up on another because I knew that my shot would go long with the Stealth Plus. For what it's worth, I also bought a new set of P-790's and added a 52, 56 and 60 degree milled wedges to my bag. I'm playing as well, if not a little better, than I did in my 30's! To be fair, I have spent a ... MoreI am 58 years old. I have played golf since I was 12 years old. I've also switched to TP5 balls from the Chrome Soft.Thank you, TaylorMade!

I've been playing the SIM for 2 years. I loved the SIM for it's low spin and penetrating flight. My complaints have been because it's so low spin if I miss left it can be off the planet. My miss with the driver is high on the face and the SIM is a relatively small face compared to SIM max and newer drivers.I tested the SIM2 and I just couldn't get comfortable with it. The feel was too different and something about it just didn't work for me. This year when Stealth was released I went right down to my shop to try it out along side my gamer and SIM2. I got the same results with the SIM2 which were just too spinny and uncomfortable. When I hit the Stealth first at 9 degrees I found it stable but a little too much spin. I got the same results with the SIM2 which were just too spinny and uncomfortable. When I hit the Stealth first at 9 degrees I found it stable but a little too much spin. Once I used the sleeve to take off loft I started hitting very straight shots with perfect spin characteristics. It also offers me far more area to miss on the face high. TM isn't joking when they say 20% more face compared to SIM. On miss-hits I'm still getting close to the same carry but what's more important for me personally is my misses are much closer to the center line than I was seeing with SIM. I'm seeing slightly higher ball speeds 1-2 MPH but it's a much more stable/straight driver than SIM for me.
I have been a 15 hcp for years due to not being able to keep a driver in play. My driver swing speed is 98-103 typically. Iron play and putting are fine, strokes gained analysis showed what I knew- I’m a 25 hcp off the tee and a 5 hcp after the tee shot. My last “few” drivers were....Titlest 813- when I hit the sweet spot, ball was hammered, out to 270 yds, but yardage greatly dropped on off center hits- which are my norm.Ping G400- Very forgiving and a huge improvement over the 813, but I was giving up yardage-quite a bit. Gamed it got almost 3 years, then in the quest for more distance, off to the....Sim 2- much better distance, but I think poorly fitted shaft for my swing- I had no control over the club face. Sometimes open, sometimes closed, sometimes square. I switched shafts with another who had the Rouge shaft and it was much straighter. Went to get fitted for a new shaft, but hit the Stealth plus and couldn’t go back. So now.....Stealth Plus 9 degree with the stock Rouge shaft in stiff, 1/2” shorter than standard. I hit all but 1 fairway first round I played. Drives were 255-260 typically and a VERY tight dispersion. Longest drive 283. My playing partners were in awe especially from ME being the one doing that- it’s not my MO. The club head speed is up about 2 mph, ball speed is up about 3mph. Mishits don’t hurt much. I have found driving Nirvana.
I haven’t been playing for a long time yet but I always like to make sure I’m the best at what I like doing. That means practicing and trying many different things and ways to improve. When I tested this driver it was amazing to me the adjustability that this driver has to help you become better at this game. This was the only driver I found that actually made my game better. And now I’m hitting the fairway more than I was before. Obviously nothing is perfect but I really believe that this driver and the adjustability will help with my game and as I get better I can keep adjusting to where my swing is to keep me getting better. So if you’re looking for a driver to make you a better golfer off the tee then look no further.
The head cover does not fit and seems a little difficult to put on,I regret taking it off and on every time I hit it, so sometimes I choose the Callaway 3 metal instead with a much easier head cover to remove and put back on.As far as performance, it seems to be great on the holes they are set up to go from left to right. I have never had that much success on those holes (The Dog leg Right holes) as I use to hit a mini draw, so I am thankful for that. The sound is good, but deceiving, I hit what I thought was a good one, but some 19 handicapper with a 13 year old driver outdrove me both times on the hole (this same guy uses a 7 iron from 130 while I use a 7 iron for 155).On the Positive side, A lot of the older Golfers on the course have the same driver and it ... MoreThe head cover does not fit and seems a little difficult to put on,I regret taking it off and on every time I hit it, so sometimes I choose the Callaway 3 metal instead with a much easier head cover to remove and put back on.As far as performance, it seems to be great on the holes they are set up to go from left to right. This is my second Stealth Plus. My first is a 10.5 (set to 9.75) with a regular flex Helium shaft. Brief history: I stopped playing golf in 2009 after the birth of my first child and just picked it up again in 2022. Anyway, the reason I bought the blackout Stealth was purely based on the looks; I wasn't sure if I could handle the IZ-6 stiff shaft. Long story short, my driver swing speed, after I returned to golf, was down in the low 90s. Now, towards the end of this season, it's up to 97-102. I tested that the blackout Stealth side by side with my first one and I was getting higher swing speed, ball speed, and distance. But with a very welcome bonus... dispersion was significantly tighter with far fewer left shots. I can't say enough about this head and shaft combo! ... MoreThis is my second Stealth Plus. I purchased the Stealth Plus 9 degree driver around a month ago from Golf Galaxy and I very happy with the performance up to this point. I have only played about 4 to 5 rounds with my Stealth Plus so far but the results have been great. Once TaylorMade launched the Stealth lineup I immediately knew I was going to purchase one but I wasn't sure which one fit my game. I purchased the Callaway XR speed last year and the performance was okay but I wanted to change up and get fitted for the newest technology. I purchased the Callaway XR speed last year and the performance was okay but I wanted to change up and get fitted for the newest technology. I scheduled a fitting at golf galaxy and went in with the mindset that I was going to get the stealth not the Stealth Plus. Started out by hitting my old driver (Callaway XR speed) and the results were not good lol Very high spin rate (5,000-6,000 range) and drives only carrying around 230-240 at best. Then I hit the Stealth and Stealth Plus and the results were similar between the two but the Stealth Plus had the advantage for me. Results for Stealth Plus were low spin (2,000-3,000 range) and drives carrying around 260-270. I had 2 drives over 300 yards! The regular Stealth had around the same data but higher spin resulting in lower yards off the tee. Dispersion was similar between the two as well. All of the data was from the trackman, hitting in a bay but I was very impressed with what I was seeing. I ended up purchasing the Stealth Plus 9 degree extra stiff shaft. My natural drive shot shape is a cut and sometimes a slice. It took me a while to get down that this driver keeps my shot shape much straighter. Once I got that down, I am hitting it around 10-15 yards further consistently and I’m able to keep my ball flight lower and straighter. Id highly recommend to get fitted for this driver and bring your old driver so you can compare statistics on the trackman between the two. Hopefully this is convincing enough to pull the trigger on this beast.
For me, this new Blackout Stealth driver is spectacular! I feel a little bit like it’s unfair for my golf partners to see me crush it off the tee. Yes, your confidence goes up, and so does consistency. If you’re good off the tee you’ll begin to here “Wow.” If you’re great off the already your partners will make you go last, because you’re a tough act to follow. I loved this club from the first tee shot. My only problem is course management discipline. I want to use all the time. It’ll be your little secret when they ask, “ What’d you say that new driver is called?”
