Ive been through so many guitars tuner in my life, but Ive never had tuner that can mute your sound while on stage or simply dont look or feel bulky with out bolting it to your guitar. TC guitar tuner is worth it. It has a built in buffer for your tone no matter where you put in on your pedal board, Small compact, accurate, and I love that it tunes, all six of your guitar strings on one strum. I keep the TC on all of my custom pedal boards. I use to have the TC clip on tuner but I went back to the pedal board type. It was way easier for me to see in dark settings on stage. Get one, it wont disappoint. And it holds resale value too. Built like a tank.

If any string is out, you know right away which one to correct, without going through all 6 one-at-a time. Pluck one string and it goes into conventional single string tuner mode. Tuning is a lot faster this way. It also is reconfigurable for alternate tunings, buffer or bypass, always on...

I've been playing live with this for a few years and it is invaluable. I've removed most of the stuff from my pedalboard but I still have a quad cortex, an expression pedal, and the polytune 3 mini. Being able to open strum, and see if all 6 strings are close to in tune is absolutely amazing. It's also far more accurate than any other tuner I've ever seen, assuming you're using the strobe motion and not the green/red dots. I like it so much I also got the clip on version. There's also dip switches for a buffer and a mute, so you can either monitor the note or mute it and also the buffer helps with feedback and quietness.
This is my favorite tuner. It's very accurate, and can do individual guutar strings or all at once without changing any settings. Having the option for buffered/non-buffered bypass is extremely useful. The always-on option makes so much sense, I wish every tuner had this option.
I bought this tuner so I could demote my existing tuner to my second pedal board. It works perfectly, no problems, and I like the fact that it stays on when un-muted. I can't say it is great VFM - my £20 tuner from eBay has done the job perfectly for several years - the Polytune is rather a luxury purchase. If money is tight prioritise a good power supply!
The PolyTune 3 Mini is excellent as an "always on" way of keeping an eye on your tuning. It's a totally new experience for me when playing live, because you can maintain a constant monitor at a glance if things are slipping. My only regret is that I didn't get one ages ago. It feels very solidly built and takes up a tiny space on the pedal board.
I love this pedal. As a tuner, it's amazing. Give a strum, see if they all check out. Focus in on individual strings that need attention. Better, there's a configurable buffer: use it if you need it, turn it off if you don't like that. If you're putting your tuner at the start of a long signal chain with a number of pedals, you probably want a buffer anyway if none of the pedals are buffered already. I bought several pedals at once, and this is the only one I already know I love. Other reviews will have to wait, but the Polytune Noir is a winner right out of the box.
