If you gain up a vocal mic enough to distort, it will cause feedback. Try running this effect to a separate channel that has a lower gain setting and probably a lower monitor feed. This will help with the mix and monitor levels.

I've had issues with pretty much everyone of the voice pedals these cats put out, but this one takes the cake...the feedback this piece of junk puts out is very capable of damaging your hearing. Never got it to function once. Don't buy this! Nice concept, but nobody should be testing their gear out on customers whose hearing is everything to them...this never should have left the factory...its an insult. I don't even feel right trying to resell it to anyone else. it wouldn't be right.

If anyone has tips on how to make this pedal work, please share!! I get a ton of feedback whenever I turn the levels up to a point where they make the effects worthwhile. Some of the effects seem unusable... The distortion creates crazy feedback even on the lowest settings. The pedal has been clipping my vocals, too. I really want to love this pedal, but it might not be worth the trouble.

If your looking for that telephone booth / megaphone sound this pedal will do it. It says it can give you that hard driving sound other than the megaphone, but I'm not using that part of it, and what little I did I didn't care for it. I wanted it for live performance's, we wanted to do, "video killed the radio star", and "pumped up kicks", works well for both of those songs, I'm sure we'll find more to do. Easy to set, and it has the filter knob which allows you to adjust how much megaphone sound you want. Pretty basic pedal and gets right to the point, exactly what I was looking for.
This product was very easy to use and is very good for what I need. But it would not suit every persons voice and will only be good depending on the sound you need I would recommend looking at videos before buying. But other than that great product.

I've used it for a ton of live shows, practices being near PA speakers, no issues, no feedback, sounds awesome. But you have to know how to use your pedal. Settings are set not just by filter and drive, you have to hold down the on/off foot switch and then the filter/drive knobs become gate/volume trim settings. Set these at sound check to work with different club setups. Click footswitch so pedal is off (no red light), HOLD DOWN footswitch, dial the gate (start 1/8 turn left from center normally works for me). Release FS, repeat for trim. Then set drive filter knobs to your liking. Gate/Trim may lose settings when power is unplugged. Lots of possible vocal tones. Sounds great! Would be even better if it had a dry/wet mix knob.
Sounds great at home with a practise amp but cannot get it up and running at band practise without either horrendous feedback or vocals that are drowned out by the band, so we haven't used it live yet either. Also the sound is inconsistent when setting the dials in the same positions as previously used. Other issues such as the sound cutting in and out, I have managed to troubleshoot using the manual, which is ok, albeit fiddly. I really want to love this pedal, but it is extremely problematic and so far, not fit for purpose.
This product is very touchy and must be experimented with. Feedback is the first problem to figure out how to avoid. It will occasionally howl like a wolf. It produces some odd low background noises half the time but they are not magnified as volume goes up. It requires frequent corrections to get a good sound. It is for use of vocals through a spoken/sung word, not instruments that are microphoned. It's useless for that latter purpose. It is good vocals altering stomp box that has a lot of range/ptions.
A cool unique type of tone shaper for all the rockers out there. Great pedal, very controllable. The sound is great, I use as overdrive or as phone/radio effect in every gig. It will do exactly what you think that it will do, ranging from megaphone, telephone like voices to crazy distorted howl if you wish. It's easy to use and seems very solid, also it has input pre-gain control and XLR input/output, as well as an USB port.
