TCL 50 Pro NxtPaper 5G 512GB Moon Gray

It's a fine android phone. I was planning to use it to read while nursing in the dark and it works great. No perceived eye strain so far. I was also planning to transition from my iphone but this phone is larger than what I prefer going about with (I use an iphone 13 mini), and pictures are just okay.

I really liked many features of this phone. First thing being the easy set up. You can transfer all your accounts in minutes at no hassle at all. Very good for the less tech savvy. Its easy and quick. The storage is brilliant! The marble back. I’d of liked this in more colour options such as white but it really was a nice different touch. The camera quality was brilliant. I have a higher branded phone and the camera is not as good as this one. It has all newer features such as Face ID, finger print unlock ect at a budget range price. I loved the privacy screen so anyone sat next to you can’t peer over and see what you’re doing. I like that you can choose your search engine such as chrome, Google ect. It’s quick and not laggy. This is a great phone. Nice size screen, you can also switch between different viewing modes which may help with tech headaches for some people. The camera is pretty decent too. Screen has a nice matte feel to it almost like touching paper. Battery lasted a very long time didn’t have to charge till the next evening. Has a huge amount of 512gb storage to save all your photos and videos etc.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING DEAL

Really nice handset at AMAZING price, especially with the FREE tablet offer. Although a large phone it fits in the hand well (small/medium) as it is not as wide as my Pixel7 Pro or Samsung A34. It runs a fairly stock version of Android so is very similar to using my Pixel7 Pro. Any bloatware is easily uninstalled. Screen is responsive BUT THE BEST thing is the ability to put it into any one of 3 modes. The NEXTPAPER is truly out of this world in this respect. I use my phone a lot for emails and internet. Although my other phones are great phones their bright and clear screens do affect my eyes after long use, the TCL appears at first instance to have less effect on my eyes so it's perfect. There's nothing to dislike about this phone at this price point. If I had any observation to make this even better would be the inclusion of a suitable pen, I purchased a T pen with the aforementioned tablet and it doesn't work with the phone screen. I note they do a cheaper one, hopefully that will work with the phone. QVC purchase and delivery was good. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Brilliant phone

Long term Nokia user decided I wanted a change, ordered this phone not expecting much. I soon changed my mind upon setting it up, never had a non glare screen before but, this is actually brilliant and the colours and brightness are impressive. Very fast phone given the amount of ram, some bloatware but very easily removed, would highly recommend this phone.

Cool matte screen (kindle/Samsung frame feel)

I love this phone. It has a screen similar to a Samsung frame tv or kindle so glare free and feels nice to touch.I love that you can at a switch of a side button turn the phone to an e-reader too.Something a little different and a great choice if you want to try something quirky!Only downfall is finding a phone case for the phone as it doesn't come with one and the ones sold online are missing the cut-out for one of the buttons. Hoping once the phone has been out for longer there will be available cases.Great affordable phone and fun to use.Would recommend 👌

Good screen for reading.

I'm a reader, and I don't have any problems with reading digital books on my phone other than being distracted by my reflection and the glare. That's why I chose TCL for my next phone, it's as if it were made just for me! The screen has no glare or reflection, it feels just like paper on my finger tips. The OS features a nice "reading mode" which turns the screen black and white which I keep on all the time.The only problem I found is the touch screen seems slightly inaccurate for my fingers, particularly on small icons, I got around this by changing the settings to large icons.As for other specs like the camera or speakers or processing power, none of that applies to me so I wouldn't know. They work just fine for me.

Nice phone - but a bit too complicated for me!

I'm sure it is a good phone, but I'm afraid I just couldn't get on with it. I spent over a day trying to set it up, and although I managed it to some extent, I was not happy with it. A shame, because it was much faster than my current phone (which I'm still looking to replace). From the other good reviews, I can only assume it is me that is the problem rather than the phone itself!
