Amazing quality for the buck. Very impressive with sound quality. Of course you will need a sound bar to enjoy a movie, but it plays much better sound than other premium TVs. Response is very smooth and quick. But, when I go to some of apps, it starts lagging bit. Still much faster than other cheap brands TVs. Screen is very bright. I wish the OS was more user friendly like Samsung.

Difficult to set up and that was with a tradie who specialises in TV set up. Wasnt told that the Foxtel box would still be needed in order to record anything. The new sound bar didnt pair up initially and it took several youtube videos to solve that problem. Should have bought a name brand as recommended. Took most of the day to solve all the issues and figure out how to access certain channels and the foxtel guide. The TV itself looks nice and the picture is sharp and clear.

A good product for the price. Unfortunately a bit laggy in transitions between menus and the like. Can be easy to confuse the system if you go too quick. Some menu labels and instructions are poorly translated into English, especially the owners manual. Not a huge fan of the Android OS over something more slick like the Apple TV but happy to live with it. On the laggy topic, unless the internet is at top download speed, sound can crackle quite a bit.

Surprisingly a great TV, we have cheap smaller TCL we got less than 2 years ago, (free with a phone puchase) and it's sooo slow to turn on, every button lags, pixels have died etc. We vowed never to get another TCL but we were convincd by the knowledge of the local JB guy on how much they'd imporoved and how they've put much better tech into their bigger more expensive TV's. We are not dissappointed. Picture and sound are great, the Google TV interface is much better than the Android TV. Would purchase again in a heartbeat.
Throughly researched all the brands before narrowing them all down to this exactly model. Do your home work, you want to only consider mini-LED or OLED, google TV is far better than Android, TCL have come along way and are heavy hitters in the market these days. 3 year warranty - great peace of mind and inspires brand confidence. Fantastic sound and picture (DOLBY VISION & DOLBY SOUND) - I truly enjoy watching movies at home again. In has really lifted that cinematic experience significantly!
I purchased this TV after reading many reviews. I was drawn to the 'bang for buck' features and improved build of the TCR units in recent years. I wanted a TV with a high refresh rate- good for sports (I watch a lot of American football), high brightness (as it sits facing a large window) and the google operating system appeared to be the best for navigating quickly and efficiently. Gaming is impressive as the variable refresh rate handles a variety of game play and the depth of colour on this set is amazing. It handles reflections very well and the viewing angles are generous. A bit thicker than some TV's you can chalk this up to the ONKYO rear sub, which when tested before setting up a playbar/surround sounded great. I would suggest the sound on this would be better than some cheaper bluetooth playbars anyway, so you could potentially save your money. Being someone who has traditionally gone with Sony, Samsung's etc. I am very glad I went with TCL as it offers incredible picture colour, movement and clarity at a price the others can't compete with. The standard 3-year warranty on the TCL was the clincher, they obviously stand by their product, and at this stage so do I. A fantastic product.
Great size TV budget price. We needed to replace one of our TV's after 10 years the 3D Samsung was unfortunately not repairable. As this was for the spare TV area and to be used for gaming we did not want to spend to much. Alot of the big name brands did not have the right refresh rate for gaming and fast HDMI connection. So the sales assistant at JB HIFI recommended the TCL. It is the 2022 model on sale.Set up was reasonably easy,note when setting up you have to create a TCL account or it will not let you finish the set up. The picture is quiet impressive as is the sound. Even in the dark the images are crisp and clear. We did take out the extended warranty for an extra peace of mind.

Full array local dimming, QLED and Mini Led means its pretty bright with good colours and decent separation between colours and blacks. Has Dolby Vision IQ, HDR10+ and Dolby Atmos which some other brands don't offer... Yeah i'm looking at you Samsung..... Sound is pretty good for a tv (no it's not as good as a decent sound bar setup but good enough that you would consider not having one). Has 2 x HDMI 2.1 ports , 144hz VRR, ALLM, Freesync Premium and eARC is on a different HDMI 2.0b port which means you can have 2 next gen consoles and a sound bar connected all at once. Amazing value incredible midrange tv giving the Sony and Samsung a run for their money. At this price point this tv offers significantly more value than the equivalent Sony or Samsung. Picture is incredibly crisp with full backlight panel. Android TV works great and is intuitive remote is responsive. 3 year warranty. Highly recommend. 5/5
This TV is very bright, that makes the energy star rating low. The picture looks fake on auto configurations, if you want natural picture on this TV then turn off all auto configurations. Set the brightness to low, this is enough for viewing at day light and night time. Also turn on smoothing feature, otherwise 4k will lag. Overall this is very good TV at this price in 2022, other brands with mini led technology will break your wallet to pieces.
