TCL 65” 4K QLED HDR Smart Google TV, 65Q750G

My new TCL 65" QLED 65Q750G 4K Google Smart TV $648.00 (Black Friday Pricing), is the brand and model choice I decided upon after comparing and scrutinizing dozens of 2022 - 2023 television models from every known brand on the planet to date. I went through them all!!! Multiple times, especially over the last year until now. My initial goal was to identify all television models which matched up as close as possible to the LG 77” Class S90C OLED 4K UHD Smart Tizen TV Model %23QN77S90CAFXZA, UPC: 887276749365, DCS: 14.306.3984 which is priced at: $2,499.99 (77”), $3,999.99 (83”), $1,599.99 (65”) and $1,299.99 (55”). I settled on the 65” models only due to the fact that 65” was realistically the best physical size limit for my current bedroom’s available space for adding any additional furniture or electronic appliances. Which would ultimately include my new TCL 65" QLED 65Q750G 4K Google Smart TV, ULTIMEA POSEIDON D60 410 Watt Dolby Atmos Soundbar mounted onto the onn Soundbar Speaker Mounting Kit and all of these new components mounted onto my new YL TF5002 32”- 85” Rolling (3 Shelf) TV Stand. And I could easily handle installing, mounting and setting up everything all by myself.I settled on the TCL 65" QLED 65Q750G 4K Google Smart TV due to it’s nearly equal technical specifications to all of the other brands and models which I chose as “Top Contenders”. The TCL 65" QLED 65Q750G 4K Google Smart TV was one of my top 5! between 65” - 85” televisions with high resolution output, QLED - Quantum Dot technology, PRO Direct LED BACKLIGHT, Full Array PRO Local Dimming and micro or mini LED backlighting with 200 local dimming zones, 1000 Nits peak brightness, 120hz native up to 144hz capable screen refresh rate depending upon the video source content, Motion Rate 480, TCL Game Accelerator 240 and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, 4x HDMI Inputs (1x 144hz, 1x 120hz, 1x 60hz 1x 60hz w/eARC), eARC digital audio output over HDMI to a Soundbar at 60hz, 40 watts of peak audio output (Dolby Atmos/DTS Virtual: X) just from the TV speakers alone, and IMAX Enhanced. And being that I am a Google End User via Windows 10 %26 11, I am very used to Google Assistant and already have an active Google User account and lots of useful content via the Google Internet medium. So I've gained a lot of additional Live %26 On-Demand TV, Movies and Audio/Video Streaming content to watch and enjoy, and it's all FREE!!!Everything is working great, sounding great and looking great!!!So far “Great TV!”🥳🎉👍🤘"Perfect!"

So from here let me Debunk all these Bad reviews on this TV, #1 (Stuttering) this TV is not the same as you typical Tvs that you plug in a HDMI in any port all of sudden poof it’s magically Delicious “No” especially with this set all the HDMI ports are 2.1 and 2 of the ports haver higher Refresh Rates so if you take you Cable connection wich can only handle 60hz and you plug it in port 1: wich is 2.1 144hz to 480 with motion rate or port 2: which is 2.1 120hz 240 with motion rate (YEA YOUR GONNA GET STUTTERING) to the point where the tv will shut it self off to protect the LEDs so if you’re just watching TV use either port3 or port4 both are 2.1 but 60hz with the motion rate in this TV you get 120hzBad Reviews #2 turning on off automatically honestly I can’t speak for anyone else but me when i get new electronics especially a TV i look at 1 what does this TV look like Right outta the box after that 2 I immediately go to the settings not change anything just scroll through all the picture settings/ TV settings to see how much customization that set has to offer. With that being said if they had looked in there there are 2 settings if the just switched them off one for auto off and on respectively. Ladies and or Gentlemen Buy this TV with confidence its a solid buy out of the box its pre set to low power mode as the Picture mode just set it to Smart HDR and call it Day if you dont want to mess with anything in the settings for Normal people its Good, but if you take your time and tweak this TV in Settings and Expert Settings for the $$ I couldn’t be happier my PS5 simply amazing, Movies especially 4k are Amazing Equalizer 3 on this is like another movie lol. Guys Take your time do your research if you do pull the trigger and pick this up you wont regret it just keep in mind that this is $650 TV even with the your best tweaks in settings if you’re trying to get it to a Sony O-LED you might as well get the O-LED cause there’s no way, but if not and your coming from and 5-10 year old model that did a Kamikaze you will fall in love with this TV. Here’s a tip from me to anyone getting this set just Google TLC65q750g expert calibration instructions for the white levels to whatever picture setting you choose and youtube this model on picture settings and follow it step by step trust me you wont be disappointed

[Rewarded Review] Great Picture Quality, Affordability, and Value

Whether watching movies, playing video games, or streaming YouTube TV, the visual experience was nothing short of captivating. The deep blacks and bright highlights make every scene come to life. While the TCL Q7 offers remarkable picture quality, it falls just short of the QM8 series and OLEDS. Despite this, the TCL Q7 impressively holds its own and delivers an exceptional visual experience that is a testament to its engineering at a much more budget-friendly price point.Another aspect that caught my attention was the elegantly designed bezels and small TCL logo. TCL has managed to keep the bezels incredibly thin, which adds a touch of sophistication to the TV's overall appearance. The minimalistic bezels seamlessly blend into the screen, providing an expansive view and enhancing the sense of immersion (especially with 85").The TCL Q7 comes with a user-friendly remote control that further enhances the overall viewing experience. The remote comes with a backlit design, making it easy to use in low-light conditions. No more fumbling around in the dark to find the right buttons – the backlit feature ensures that every control is clearly visible and accessible, adding to the convenience of using the TV at any time of the day. Its ergonomic design also provides a comfortable and satisfying feel in your hands. While the TCL remote offers an excellent experience, I prefer using a Firestick remote for the TCL Q7 85" TV along with my other 4 TVs which gives me a streamlined experience for one TV to another. My two issues are when connected to my Vizio m512a-h6 soundbar the numerical volume doesn't display on the TV and my firestick has trouble switching inputs on the TV with voice commands, certainly not deal breakers, nonetheless annoying. This TV comes equipped with HDMI ports that support different refresh rates, providing the selection that works perfect for me. One of the HDMI inputs supports 144Hz refresh rate, making it ideal for connecting high-performance devices. Another HDMI input supports a 120Hz refresh rate, which is perfect for gaming consoles and high-refresh-rate content. While cross shopping others like the Hisense U7K, I was particularly glad to find that the Earc port on the TCL Q7 is not taken by one of the high-refresh-rate HDMI inputs. This means I can enjoy high-quality audio through Earc while still utilizing the TV's 120hz refresh rate capabilities through the other high refresh HDMI ports. In conclusion, the TCL Q7 85" TV is a true gem in the world of home entertainment. While it may not feature Mini LED like the QM8 series or OLED, it offers an exceptional visual experience that comes remarkably close at a much more affordable price. Its breathtaking QLED picture clarity, sleek bezels, backlit remote, varied HDMI inputs, and the abundance of features make it a top-tier choice for those seeking a premium cinematic experience without paying a premium price. TCL has cemented its place as a champion of value, innovation, and visual excellence. TCL partnering with the NFL will soon turn them into a household name with the likes of Samsung, Sony and LG.

The first set looked great after two days of adjusting the settings and getting all of my apps onboard and logged in. We got about one full day of solid watching it when the tv started shutting off by itself. At first, I wondered if I set a sleep timer by accident. I did not. On the fourth day, the set developed vertical lines across the bottom of the screen that grew larger the longer it was on. Turning it off and unplugging the set overnight “cured” the problem but after it heated up (about an hour), the lines came back and were even more pronounced. I’m no expert but I believe it was a bad circuit board. We wreturned to our local Best Buy and they were extremely helpful. They exchanged the tv no problem. Thank You Best Buy! I’m no expert but I believe it was a bad circuit board. We wreturned to our local Best Buy and they were extremely helpful. They exchanged the tv no problem. Thank You Best Buy! The first set appeared as though it may have been returned by a less than honest customer as there were only two bands securing the outer shell and they were very loose. There were no visible signs of damage but found it odd that there was no plastic protection film on the screen. The bottom of the box was also chewed up pretty good and had the appearance of getting wet? Again, Best Buy was absolutely wonderful with very polite, no- hassle exchange. We are enjoying the new set. Not sold yet on the Google tv as it is sluggish and unresponsive at times. I prefer the roku tv ui on my previous tcl 75”. We bought this tv at an unbelievable sale price and the picture is really good. The features and available apps are quite abundant (thanks google store) I say buy it when it’s on sale and enjoy!

This is an impressive set from a visual standpoint and coming from a 1080p LED LCD, this set completely demolished that one from color reproduction(once you fully calibrate it) and depth of blacks, I have no idea what OLED is like but how much darker can those be remains to be seen. The setup is straightforward, mine is wall mounted above a decently sized desk, so the sound I get will differ from those who have their set on a desk or table or freely hanging on a wall. The audio was surprising for a TV, they usually sound like old radio, lots of treble, some mid range and absolutely no bass. This actually has a decent balance of all and I've yet to actually mess with the EQ at all(too lazy ATM). You won't be amazed but you won't be holding your bleeding ears because of the audio either. You want 5.1, 7.1, Atmos, DTS-X, you'll need to get the appropriate hardware for that. This TV is pretty bright, I usually have it turned down between 30-70 depending on time of day, if it gets very bright it automatically adjusts to try to compensate. Then again what person watches TV with bright sunlight blasting through the window,I never understood this complaint, do folks not have window shades or curtains?!?! It's bright enough for my eyes, your assessment may be different. This TV is mainly for gaming and it works well for that. You have a built in Game Mode that automatically turns on when your fire up your console that's connected via HDMI. You can set this to always be on if you choose to for specific port. Game mode basically turns off all that processing which can hamper gaming controller feedback and what you see happening on screen. By default it's set to auto. Ok now after gaming for some time, this TV really does shine, the viewing angles are rather tight, but if you're gaming, that's isn't going to be a problem as you're always dead center anyway. While gaming is good to excellent, there is some weirdness that I don't fully understand. I have a PS5 connected to port 1 and playing GT7 in frame rate mode, gives you great visuals but it comes with annoying ghosting on trailing edges of cars or moving objects. What's strange is this is not present when you play the game at 120hz. I think this might be that BFI as I think the panel is natively 120hz and uses BFI on lower than 120hz content. I could be wrong but that ghosting is very apparent in GT7. Wish there was a way to disable that function, which should be off in game mode. I haven't noticed this in other games I've played, but it's very apparent in GT7.Things to note, don't unplug HDMI devices while either devices are powered on, you run the risk of damaging both. Familiarize yourself with the remote, it's Bluetooth and doesn't need to be pointed at the set to transmit. You can turn off the built in TV microphone using the switch below the TCL logo about an inch to the left on the TV. No idea why it lights up to let me know it's off, that's pretty backwards, it should be lit when the mic is on and not when it's off. Who needs extra LED's on below the TV for no good reason. If you like your streaming, you'll be happy to know this supports wireless, but I don't recommend it unless you have no other option. Just plug it directly into your router and save yourself the headache of wireless interference causing your streams to degrade or buffer.I'll be trying to figure out how to fix my ghosting issue by switching ports and other things. My honest feelings are outside of that issue, the TV is more than a solid upgrade with features you'd find on more expensive sets. It's no PC monitor but support for 1440p is a win and it can refresh at 144hz with VRR enabled. Don't see the point, just use a PC monitor for console gaming it's got you covered, for current hardware use port 1 or port 2 as both are HDMI 2.1.Cool feature is HDMI CEC, this let's you turn the TV and connected devices off with one remote and turn everything on with one remote at all. Though the PS5 will not turn on without using the controller or power button, it does go into standby if you turn off the TV. Very cool feature that just works, also the remote can work within the PS5 menu screen, but still no way of mimic the PS home button. You can navigate streaming apps on the PS5 with the TV remote, another plus.

[Rewarded Review] Poor Quality + Deceptive Warranty = Buyer Beware!

I purchased this TCL 55" Q7 Q-Class QLED 4K HDR Smart TV on February 3rd, 2024 to use primarily as the basement Xbox TV. In May 2024, I noticed that there was a defective pixel on the screen that stayed lit green and wouldn't change.Because the TV was outside of Best Buy's 30 day guarantee, I reached out to TCL since they warranty the TV for the first year from manufacturer's defects (which this clearly was). After trouble shooting the problem with TCL's tech, I was given a link to file a warranty claim and I did so, including pictures of the problem (see pics in my review). When I received TCL's response to my warranty claim, I was shocked and disappointed to read that they "noticed that the dead pixel visible on your TV does not meet the number of dead pixels ... MoreI purchased this TCL 55" Q7 Q-Class QLED 4K HDR Smart TV on February 3rd, 2024 to use primarily as the basement Xbox TV. However, when I complained I was directed to an obscure section of their website where they note that for this particular TV, it can have up to SIXTEEN defective pixels and still be considered an acceptable number of defects!!! SIXTEEN!Here's the link in case you want to see it for yourself.https://support.tcl.com/rokutv-common-questions/01-tcl-pixel-policyIf that's the case, then I STRONGLY recommend you look into another brand of TV that has a higher quality control standard and stands firmly behind their products. I think it's really shady that TCL would hide and obscure this portion of their warranty from the consumer and frankly, question why Best Buy is selling such a poor quality product in their stores.Buyers should be extremely cautious about purchasing any TV from a company like TCL that thinks it's acceptable quality to have up to 16 bad pixels on one of their TVs.

It's not just a TV; it's a centerpiece, a conversation starter, and a portal to other realms. With the QLED technology at its heart, the display is a riot of colors that are as true to life as nature intended. The blacks are deep, the kind that swallows light and offers a contrast that makes every color pop with an intensity that's almost tactile. The HDR brightens up the darker scenes, ensuring that no detail is left behind, a vital feature for a cinephile who relishes in the nuance of shadow and light.Google TV integration is like having a knowledgeable concierge at your fingertips, always ready to suggest the next binge-worthy show or unearth a classic gem I had missed. The user interface is intuitive, a seamless experience that keeps content king without the clutter of complex menus. But what truly sets the TCL 65" Q7 apart is the aural experience. The sound is crisp, clear, and enveloping, creating an audio atmosphere that matches the visual splendor. It's as if every chord and dialogue has been fine-tuned to resonate with the viewer's soul.In the weeks I've spent with this television, it has transformed my viewing habits. The 4K resolution has spoiled me to a point where anything less feels like a disservice to the art of filmmaking. Gaming on this TV is an epic encounter, with each frame a canvas where the game's graphics strut their glorious stuff. In conclusion, the TCL 65" Class Q7 QLED 4K HDR Smart TV is not just an electronic device; it is the maestro of a symphony played in light and sound, a window to new experiences, and a testament to the marvels of modern technology. For anyone looking to be swept away into a world where every show, movie, and game is presented in its finest form, this TV is not just a smart choice; it's the only choice.

Here is my review of the TCL Q7 4K 55" television:Overly lengthy setup process filled with user agreements, legalese and contractual promises that your privacy will be invaded at every opportunity.Poor picture quality out of the box. The complicated picture adjustment interface required making adjustments for each input utilized, and in some cases for each type of content we watch (ie. Roku interface, YouTube, Blu-ray, streaming channels, etc.). Even after all of these adjustments, the picture quality on this TV is still poor in comparison to our experience with other televisions. The overexposed whites remove too much detail from white parts of the footage viewed.Blacks are underexposed, causing all black areas of the content to lose detail and become indistinct silhouettes. The picture on this TV defaults to being over sharpened. We discovered that this is partially due to the numerous “automatic” and “intelligent” picture enhancement settings that are available in the Google TV interface, which we eventually disabled. However, even with these settings turned off, the picture is often overly “crunchy” with too much contrast. And depending on what you’re watching, it can really make for a poor viewing experience. The entire experience with this TCL television led us to better understand how the QLED, OLED, HDR and “intelligent” direction being pursued by many modern televisions can be taken too far, in effect actually lowering the quality and original intention of some content. We understood when going with this Google TV that we would have to attach a Roku stick if we wanted to maintain the simple and easy-to-use interface. The Roku part of the experience worked well. However, when this is coupled with this TCL’s antiquated looking Google TV interface and TCL’s poor picture execution, it just made us want another TV with an actual Roku interface already built in. And that is exactly what we ended up going with -- the Roku Plus series. I have also researched the new Roku Pro series as well, and those look promising as well.
