For the price this is an amazing piece of kit. Blown away by the build quality and fantastic image quality!I read that some users complain that the Android TV UI is a bit sluggish but in my experience it is really fluent.I love how it shows the content of the apps is shown on the home page, makes it very easy to select.Free to air TV channels work very well too. Best TV purchase ever. Qled, HDR 10 etc. it's all beautiful! Great for movies, very immersive.Sound is really good too, nice stereo and a hint of bass.I used to hook up speakers to my TV but this one doesn't need them. One negative: The refresh rate is only 50 Hz, which is fine for most content but for sport (fast moving objects like a ball or puck) there is noticeable motion blur/motion stutter. ... MoreFor the price this is an amazing piece of kit. If it would be 100 Hz it would have solved that. Otherwise, this is a top notch TV. I fully recommend!

The TV has amazing picture quality. The body is slim with minimal aesthetic bezel. The picture settings out of the box require a bit of tuning and experimenting to your taste. For some reason the TV has "Warm" enable in the Tint settings. So, remember to put it to "Normal". I figured it out when noticed the skin tones looked very warm and orangish.Apart from these quirks, the TV is amazing in terms of colors and fidelity. Movies and streaming services work beautifully and works well with the PlayStation 5.Also great service by Bing Lee. Customer Service was helpful and reliable.

I bought this on 24, July 2020. I was in looking at multiple TVs and came across this one due to the salesman who admitted it would be the better option.Today is 01, February 2021. My TV decided to continuously show itself on display mode (as if it was in a store). Then finally, it decided to show no channels at all from any Australian broadcasting channels.I tested all the online streaming applications which worked as they should, scanned all broadcasting channels to narrow down the fault with no joy.Thought it might be a slight glitch and waited for some time before checking again, no fix once again.I attempted connecting via HDMI to a laptop, no joy.Either I haven't received the update or my TV has decided to lay its head down for 2021.I will contact ... MoreI bought this on 24, July 2020. Two weeks in. As a TV it's quite good, but there are some annoyances and bugs. Lots of annoying TCL bloat apps that we don't use and cannot be uninstalled or disabled. Stan app, which we don't use, cannot be uninstalled. It can be disabled, but the TV keeps re-enabling it. Ethernet needs to be unplugged and plugged in again to work after the TV wakes after it has been asleep for a while. Reported to TCL support who said they would get back to me within 48 hours, almost 2 weeks ago. Tick tock still waiting. Setting a static IP address works around this. Very chatty on the network, so probably spying on our kids. Usual android/google ads on the home screen which also can't be disabled. ~11Gb free internal storage out of the box.
Took a while and a lot of online research to change picture settings, but happy with the result. Preset picture options all seem to have the colour too saturated, looking overly bright and intense. May be difficult for anyone who isn't relatively tech savvy. Soundbar can be connected using a HDMI cable, make sure you connect to the ARC HDMI socket. This allows the tv to automatically turn on/off the soundbar when it is in use, and mutes the TV's built-in speaker. Also allows you to control tv and soundbar with just the tv remote. Android system is very responsive and easy to use. For Freeview TV, pressing the guide button on remote will bring up a complicated Freeview app, which will not work if there is no internet connection. You can change it to a regular tv ... MoreTook a while and a lot of online research to change picture settings, but happy with the result. Was tossing up between this, samsung or hisense but decided to try TCL for our spare budget TV.We mounted but once turned on we didn't get any picture menu options and saw some cracks and air bubbles on the front of the screen (thought it may have been a screen protector) but was told it was panel damage. Can't prove if it was a defect, transport or our mistake during our installation so we are left with junk. Expected a better build quality as we had no issues installing our Samsung. One difference to note when mounting was the back / bottom protrudes about out 2cm from a standard wall mount so it won't screw in flush (at an angle) in the back so we used spacers. Samsung is flat and had clear easy mounting holes.JB hifi tried to at least help but informed ... MoreWas tossing up between this, samsung or hisense but decided to try TCL for our spare budget TV.We mounted but once turned on we didn't get any picture menu options and saw some cracks and air bubbles on the front of the screen (thought it may have been a screen protector) but was told it was panel damage. Can't prove if it was a defect, transport or our mistake during our installation so we are left with junk. Pros:This TV is not bad for the price.Picture quality is great.Download performance is fast.Sound quality is perfect.Very lightweight.Cons:But cannot compare to the more expensive units.Picture adjustment is tricky.Start time a bit slow as android tv does.Overall Im very happy with the performance and quality of the TV.
Loads of issues:• Serious motion issues, especially with animated content such as Simpsons, South Park and Family Guy• Recognising the network is a lottery and when it does it often drops the connection• It dropped the channel tuning• Selecting a program from the Freeview guide often takes you to the wrong channel• The Freeview Guide program reminder doesn’t workTCL said if a technician verified the motion issue they would allow us to return the TV. The tech. came and verified the issue but they still wouldn’t take it back, even with the email trail for everyone to see. Fortunately Appliances Online intervened and we now enjoy a Samsung TV.
OK, so I read many reviews and some interesting comments around slow start up and not happy with the sound quality. My experience, its starts very fast unless its updating. Its android so you will want it to update and the delay is approx 1 minute and in the past two weeks its happened once. Picture quality, I replaced a 200mhz LED and from the day it was delivered was never happy with the panel black contrast, the panel was always grey. Another issue was the motion flow. 200mhz was supposed to fix that, it didnt. The TCL is smooth and I have not experienced any issue with picture quality, in fact the picture is superb. colour, contrast and motion flow is excellent. Sound quality, its not a Bose or Sonos surround system but for 80% of viewing it is absolutely adequate.
I bought this a couple of months ago now, overall I am very, very happy with it. Picture is excellent, sound is good. I also can run the sound through a surround sound system when I want but don't want to turn on my receiver/amp on every time I watch TV.This TV is magic at this price point. I did a lot of online research including looking at cheaper TV's and bought this with confidence that I wouldn't have had in a cheaper unit. This is the best value TV currently out there, if price is no object stump for an OLED TV which is considerably more expensive. My only complaint is the "inbuilt Chromecast" which I still haven't configured properly. Once connected to the same wifi network as the TV this should be straightforward - and it isn't. Oh, and Apple TV isn't ... MoreI bought this a couple of months ago now, overall I am very, very happy with it. Picture is excellent, sound is good. Oh, and Apple TV isn't available for download as an App on this android TV, which is poor but maybe will come with a software update. Very happy, would buy this again in a heartbeat.
