Adequate for the price

Value TV - not great, but adequate. I went into the store looking for a name-brand and was talked into this TCL TV. It's fine - but that's it. It's just "fine". The picture is good quality, but often the intelligent settings seem to take it into really wierd, super dark modes. There's also a really strange flicker that happens so quickly you sometimes wonder if you blinked at the wrong time! Don't get me wrong, for the price point, you get what you pay for - just don't expect miracles!

Avoid at all costs!

Bought the product 2 months ago but it arrived faulty. Tried to return the product in the first 2 weeks but JB declined. TCL support is the worst one I've ever experienced. I guess for the TV to be so cheap relative to other brands, it must have the cheapest compononents at the market and the worst customer support. Avoid if you can - the 3 year warranty doesn't mean a things if you can't return the product in a reasonable timeframe or if the manufacturer needs more than 2 months to repair/replace.

Awesome TV for Gaming

I highly recommend this TV, especially if your a gamer. I've been playing MW2 and had no issues with it. Auto Low Latency Mode, HDMI 2.1, 144Hz VRR, Game mode with Crosshairs which is a great feature for gamers. Plus the TV speakers are pretty good, Dolby Atmos sound. The colours are awesome also, HDR10+. I've purchased the 75" size and its huge, I have no regrets.

Great bang for budget 4k qled tv
21 January 2023

An excellent tv esp. or the discounted boxing day prices. Great set of features & built-in Google TV. Decent in-built sound. Note I don't use FTA. Only streaming. Some minor issues with the sound sometimes not playing and required TV to be restarted. If your looking for the main TV in the house and budget allows, then upgrade to C83 series. Credit to JB staff for replacing the p735 I bought first with c735.

Great new TV with stunning picture quality
10 January 2023

Was recommended this TV by a JB Hi Fi team member and he was absolutely right to say it is a great TV. Pictures are sharp as ever and upscaling contents is done very well too. Color scheme is extremely real and satisfying to the eye. All apps run smoothly and I have no complaints whatsoever about it. Great TV and Great value for money too. As it even came with a 03 year warranty that adds to the value. I highly recommend it if you are a movie lover as you will enjoy all your movies better with this TV. 4.5 stars out of 5 !!

IT FEELS a damn good product with heaps of value

i bought it from TGG and did price match to small retailer in other state, but staff more than happy to match the lower price, but adding a few more years warranty and delivery, which made overall good deal in my opinion. Then tried to claim TCL promotion $200 gift card, ends up value only costs 1500. I have used 4 weeks now so far of this TV, a few changes comparing to old plasma tv. It is smart, you have chrome cast/apple air tv both embedded, which making using iPhone and watching youtube both a dream via TV most of time. Google TV platform is ok, sometimes a bit lagging due to the chipset, but i am buying a TV, not computer or iPad. I played games on PS4 PRO and 4K resolution is great, despite refresh rate could not go beyond 60hz. I played games on PS4 PRO and 4K resolution is great, despite refresh rate could not go beyond 60hz. And sound quality is pretty good, because due to bigger size, they manage to put bigger speakers in which has better quality than previous LG plasma 50 inch TV I had, definitely no need to buy another speaker, works fine to me. Blue tooth connection is also good so if you need to hook up headphones at night, easy done there. Overall very happy with TV, value and quality. I am not big TV user so it works well for me. Only thing is that I hope it can last another 10 years just like old LG plasma tv i had before.

Quality at a Great Price
19 December 2022

I have been a Samsung TV buyer for as long as I can remember, but the picture quality is as good as my SUHD Samsung TV and it is so much more responsive than any other TV I've had previously.Love the fact it has Google TV built-in, which was the deciding factor in my purchase. Just an added bonus that it is a great all-round TV. The remote is also very intuitive and still has better functionality than some of the other brands which by reading reviews are becoming really not user-friendly.Anyway, very happy with my purchase, and glad I made the switch to TCL.

Software is totally bugged, don't waste your money
22 July 2022

I was so excited to purchase this TV as it was to replace a much older and smaller tv. The picture looks good compared to my old HD tv, but unfortunately that is the only positive thing i can say about it. When scrolling channels, if you go through all it will go to inputs such as airplay, if you then continue and start watching tv again it will automatically switch back to airplay settings after anywhere between 30 seconds to 5 minutes and you have to have an iphone or ipad and or mac. TCL customer support were not able to resolve the problem after hours on the phone, resetting, then hard resetting, force stop airplay and turning off airplay does not resolve issue. The tv guide is also bugged, depending on what channel you are watching depends on the guide that appears, sometimes it will show full channel list but if watching another channel will only show about 6 channels. There are so many other bugs that I have found when just trying to watch normal tv. Luckily JB HI-FI have said they will replace with a more reputable brand and I will be taking them up on that offer asap.

Terrible, non responsive remote, bad picture
21 August 2022

The picture quality is ok, not great. There is a lot of motion judder, for being a 120hz/200 clear motion TV. The judder is terrible when watching Dolby Atmos videos and also when watching sports. It becomes eye strainer. Android software is buggy as well. It does not remember the picture settings. For example- intelligent picture settings are set to "off", but every time I start the TV, it keeps these settings "on", so I have to manually go in and turn them off. What a nuisance! Factory reset is a pain, takes forever plus you have to login again in all your apps and install them again. I've done Factory reset almost on daily basis but its still not resolved the problems above, infact getting worse. I've done Factory reset almost on daily basis but its still not resolved the problems above, infact getting worse. It doesn't remember user settings on the pictures, have set the colour temperature to "cool" - but once I turn off the TV and turn it back on, it goes back to "warm". Picture quality is average, not amazing! Also TGG has advertised this TV's energy rating as 5.5- but in fact its 4.5(in the box), thats misleading. I use 7.1 sound system via ARC, HDMI CEC control, but the TV's remote is non responsive when trying to control the volume. Remote basically doesn't do anything when doing volume up and down/mute etc. What's the point of providing useless CEC control when it doesn't even work The apps load slowly at times too. You press the button and/or open the app via remote, it then thinks for a 6-7 seconds and then go into the netflix and YouTube app. Watching movies in dark room is not fun as well. Screen is way too dark and when you turn on brightness and contrast, the black starts to have lines in them. I can provide pictures to support this review. Overall, not happy with the TV.

Very disappointed
22 January 2023

Encountered problems from the moment it was set up. Login issues with certain apps, 9now crashing, Netflix kept crashing and the tv would turn off. Remote control is rubbish. After 4 phone calls to TCL over 3 days, 4 factory resets, uninstalling apps and reinstalling, conducting all possible troubleshooting..TCL deemed in dead on arrival. Very disappointing. Numerous visits to JB and phone calls finally agreed to swap for a different tv. 3 weeks later I have a new tv..hopefully there are no issues.
