This is a great TV for watching sports and movies. Very easy to use. Great brightness which was essential for the room I installed it in and blacks are getting close to oled quality. A great added benefit is the built-in onyko soundbar and sub. No need for secondary sound units at all.

I may have a dud, but I cannot recommend this TV to anyone based on the one that I received.I have a warranty call open, but even that has taken 5+ weeks to sort out.The TV itself looks fantastic and the hardware looks premium, I purchased this TV based on a lot of online reviews saying it is a "premium" TV and it was one of the first with MiniLED.I am coming from a Sony 65" X8500e, which used AndroidTV.The TV regularly fails to turn on, often requiring the power to be disconnected at the mains before it will power up.Sound seems to crash regularly, requiring a reboot of the TV (not just a power cycle, but a reboot from the Android interface).TV takes a looooong time to power on, around 3mins. This isn't a cheap TV.

This is my first TCL product. Initially I was very hesitant and to be honest was leaning towards the other well known TV brands but found them over priced. This TV has Mini Led back light which makes it good alternative to OLED . I did consider the LG C1 OLED & the SONY OLED but decided against it as the content I watch has certain static elements and I am not keen on the possibility of burn-in. I also like the built in speaker by onkyo , It sounds fairly good for a TV speaker, the sound bar and mini sub produce fairly good sound. The most i tried is 20 % volume and you get to hear a bit of rumble in star wars . Just to be clear You do Not get a seperate sound bar and mini sub , they are built into the TV (Sound bar is the Grey Chin , Mini Sub at the back) . Out of ... MoreThis is my first TCL product. Out of the box the picture quality was okey but a day or two later the TV updated to new firmware and now it is much better. I use Google assistant for everything but somehow I cant get it to work on this TV (i think i messed up initial setting while setting up the TV) . If you use apple TV 4K you are set ! you can also use the apple TV to calibrate your TV colour. It does not change TV setting but applies a filter to make it warmer - (I think) TGG had a good deal going during the Melb cup period and the sales person made me an offer I could not refuse , TV arrived when most of Melbourne was without power due to storms ) .Web cam is included in the box as well so if you need to arrange zoom calls with family etc you are all set. Believe Samsung use the same or similar Qdot panel so you can cross shop this TV with other mini LED options and compare, For gamers you get VRR and hdmi 2.1 (SONY I am talking to you !) .I think It is too early to give this TV 5 stars as I have never experienced this brand before but I may change my score in the next 2 or 3 months. looks wise , all TV's look the same , save yourself a few hundred bucks .

I've had this TV for close to 6 months now. The picture is beautiful. Black blacks and bright vibrant colours. The sound is good too with the built in Onkyo sound bar and subwoofer. The big let down is the software. It runs Android TV which is an amazing bit of software on my Nvidia Shield but on this TV it seems to lock up constantly, refuse to accept input from the remote and often gets artefacts on the screen when playing content. I spoke to support but they just said it must be my internet. It's not, my internet is Gigabit fibre to the premises with Aussie Broadband. The software has not had an update since January 2021 even though other regions have had updates that don't work on the Australian model. I'm torn on whether to place a warranty claim or not as I ... MoreI've had this TV for close to 6 months now. The picture is beautiful. Black blacks and bright vibrant colours. I'm torn on whether to place a warranty claim or not as I know it's a great TV but just has lots of software problems. If you don't want to use the smart part of this smart TV then it's amazing. Otherwise might be worth waiting until the next model.
Very happy with the TV - The picture is solid, upscaling great and thanks to the in-built sub-woofer rich sound. Note it is a big thick TV it does not disappear against the wall! Somewhat disappointingly my purchase experience was marred by TCL with the set delivered in factory test mode. Dealing with TCL to resolve the issue was unacceptably painful.
Let's start with the good stuff, the product. Overall the TCL is a fantastic product at a even better price. Great picture quality, features and operations. It has outstanding sound with it's built-in Onkyo Sund bar!!! Let's be realistic, a dedicated soundbar is better but for built in speakers it is loud, rich and bassy. I would say it has the tbest built in speaker eexperience.I Dida small comparison in store of the Samsung QN90a and this, while this tv doesn't have the picture quality the Samsung doesn't have the $1000 better picture quality, maybe $200 worth of better quality. The TCL as a complete package matches the Samsung IMHO.INNow to the bads tthis is the second TCL I had due to the fact of the first tv had a few glitches. Believe or not I not complaining about the glitches, the TCL service is the issue. TCL is beyond bad, it is deplorable!! I couldn't even rate good guys service as they need to deal with the nimrods at TCL. Constant changing of repair numbers, belligerent operators, incompetence, the hassle of trying to get a repairman to assess a faulty tv, despite the fact of having a video demonstrating the fault and sending to them!!! Losing previous correspondence and also advising I could have refund and I could collect it in a completely different city to which I live in!!! The service isoooo bad but the tv has awesome value performance
Its not OLED quality picture, but its very very close. I also have a 65” Pana GZ1000 OLED tv which i love, and is simply the best picture available. I didn’t expect this to be as good as it is considering the $$ spent on a 75” screen, as long as you are sitting directly in front of it (VA panel). Great brightness, contrast and colour once you get the settings setup right. In default settings the screen looks horrible and is far too cool tinted. For a quick fix, just set the picture settings to Movie, up the brightness to about 70 (if in a bright room), and set the Colour temp to Warm and Tint to 52. Set sound preset to Music or Voice for best results. I use a dedicated HT system, but for a TV the built in sound is surprisingly decent with the Onkyo “soundbar”. Thought Id done my homework and found the best tv - wrong ! HDMI connected recorder keeps losing picture. Have all new top quality HDMI and Antenna cables. Now trying another HDMI input slot and still hit and miss. . Today lost signal to several channels. Can only turn off at power point and back on so many times to try and rectify.
Very happy with the TV picture (brightness, colors, motion management, dark/light image management) and sound quality (sub woofer built in). Vast improvement over my different brand previous TV, for which I was refunded due to issues. This mini LED is alot cheaper and close in quality to OLED. I highly recommend this TV if you are interested in a very good picture/sound for a decent price.
Very happy with this TV. Picture is sharp, bright and vibrant with colours with no blooming or blurring of images.. Even low quality source material upscales really well. Sound is impressive with clear dialogue and deep bass, although as built in speakers it cant achieve surround sound like a specialised surround speaker system can. Google TV is the best interface.I very impressed with the quality at this price point in comparison to the high-end brands which offer so much so less for more money.
