Very nice boot! Very comfortable and extremely true to the size chart. Not the most comfortable boot to walk with but most motorcycle boots like this or not. All replacement parts on the booth at drag points appear to be manufactured in a way that fit the boot extremely well. Compared to other boots that I have worn it is a little more difficult to get your toe under the shift lever. A little bit of shifter adjustment was needed on my motorcycle after getting these boots. Overall I love the boots, feel extremely comfortable also have some really nice styling

I do fit 1/2 size larger but watched a video with Spurgeon and he suggested if you fall in between size go down the half, glad I did. After second week of break in they are becoming second skin, no slip in heel and can wiggle my toes. Okay so enough about looks n fit. Functionality for the money or even higher priced boots these TCX are legit. Love the inside booty with speed laces along with the zipper and ratcheting top snug the boots securely and give me more confidence when I ride spirited on my Ducati SS. Great Value for a Race Boot
10 November 2021

Great boots with great fit. Feet size vary. After trying on multiple sizes and measuring my feet. Trying on other brands of boots. These fit the best. A good fitting boot is a safe boot no matter what the brand. My feet measured 260mm or 26cm. so I went with the size 41 which is a measured 263mm. If your feet exceeds those measurements, then go a size up.They will definitely need some break in time compared to Astars but their fit is a bit off. These are made in Romania, not sure why that matters but Astars supertech R's, which are 500 bucks, are made in Vietnam. So you decide if where it is manufactured matters to you.

TCX RT Air are Great boots !, but the video by Revzilla is Crappy .I feel like he made the whole video to talk us OUT of buying the Airs...Never explained anything about how the boots zip up, how the top fasteners work, what is inside of the boot, any laces? anything?? Do they run true to size?...Nothing...Just all the reasons he feels the old RT is a better boot. for the money. Great help! Great salesmanship! NOT!

Super Stiff (Need to break in before riding)
9 September 2022

Let me start by saying I am a HUGE TCX fan, I own 2 other pairs from them and I don?t think I?ll ever change brands. I only gave 3 stars because they are unusable out of the box you absolutely need to break them in before going on a ride, I was not able to bend my ankle enough to shift I made it 10 feet from my house and had to turn around. Overall it?s a very quality/comfortable boot just wish I could use them right out of the box

Super-Comfy Race Grade Boots
25 July 2020

This is a very comfortable sport riding boot that will provide track-worthy performance and protection. They have inner lace-up liners and fit the foot/ankle area snug. A small exoskeleton covers the upper-rear ankle zone and accordion flex material. Unlike my Sidi ST Air boots, the exoskeleton does NOT get snagged on the rear sets on my 2020 R1. Getting in and out of these boots is as easy as race-ready boots get (side entry). There is ZERO air flow, so not the best summer boots. Also be aware that the top of these boots are a bit wide to accommodate leathers, so road riding in jeans will require pants with enough room at the lower leg area. They have good flex at the soles. I will probably end up getting this boot in the vented version for hot weather riding. They feel good!

First off, these boots are not worth $500. I ended getting these for $350 shipped to my door from another vendor which made them a great deal. They are extremely light and non-bulky to an extent that I have never felt. My previous boots that I wore were a pair of 2009 A* SMX plus air, Dainese Torque RS out air, and Sidi Mag-1.By far these boots feel the thinnest and most flexible out. I don't know how they well hold up in a crash since they feel flimsy, but walking around and riding with them felt great. Shifter and brake feel are second to none since the TCX aren't bulky in any way. Getting in and out of the boot also requires less effort since the inner bootie is much like a snowboard shoe. The Dainese Torque RS required less work, but the zipper failed on me twice. The other boots that I have used were bulky with long tight zippers and extra ratcheting systems. My only concern is what I consider lack of protection/support. These boots really feel almost flimsy compared to other high end boots I have used. As a note, my Sidi Mag-1 felt twice as heavy as these TCX, but felt almost like MX boots compared to these. An added bonus is that these boots come with a carrying bag. No other manufacturer has included a bag with the purchase. I can easily throw the boots in the bag for storage or transportation.

Track and Street

I was looking for a first ever motorcycle specific boot. I'd been wearing Zamberlan 310 Skill GT's as moto boots for 6 years. Yeah, they aren't moto specific but they're super stiff and I feel like were probably even more protective than some of the moto 'shoes' that are out there. I'd crashed in them twice, though neither accident really hit my feet or shins so I can't really speak to them as protection from true foot injury. Anyway, the soles were worn down to falling off so I needed something new and have been obsessing about getting on the track as well. I try to get gear that can serve multiple purposes so was trying to find something I could wear everyday but also do some track days. I try to get gear that can serve multiple purposes so was trying to find something I could wear everyday but also do some track days. These are likely the perfect boot for that.I tried on the Alpinestar's SMX6 V2's seriously 5 different times at a local shop. They're plush and feel well built. I came very very close to buying them. They're very comfortable for a moto boot and would pass at a track day. My biggest issue was finding a wide foot bed. Sidenote: This seriously should be a listed measurement for all footwear. It's ridiculous that you can't get an idea of width almost at all from the sizing chart or the info presented here (not with any certainty). I wear a 10 in Nike running shoes and an 8 (42) in the SMX6 V2 felt decent. I like my footwear tight though and the 7.5 felt like the right length but was then squishing my small toe on the side (narrow).I ordered the SIDI Vertigo (42) even though I'd heard they were narrow'ish in general. They were, of course, very narrow (to the point of folding over my little toe). I really didn't want boots that were longer to make them wider at all. The material felt like it was folding rather than bending or flexing too and the Tecno VR system felt like a gimmick. The SMX and the RT-Race both get to a more 'snug' fit around the calf without that system. The hard parts at the heel made a popping sound when putting them on and the lowest point of the zipper in some weird way made entry into them more fidgety than the SMX and RT-Race. I liked that there was a much smaller velcro area (not down the full length of the boot like the SMX6) and it seems massively protective. The RT-Race felt great from the first time I put them on. Not as plush as the SMX6 V2 but much much nicer than the Vertigo's. The width isn't significantly wider than the SMX6 V2 but the 42 is shorter by enough that they feel like the perfect length and the width is something I've been able to live with. The inner booty is fidgety and I have a bit of a love/hate thing with it. It gets the boot a bit more snug but it's another thing to mess with when getting them on and off. They look and feel incredibly protective and I've also worn them for full work days at the office (they're not 'comfortable' but for the protection, they're something I think you can easily get used to walking around in daily). I like the ratcheting system at the calf infinitely better than the SIDI Tecno VR system and these get more snug than those did. I wish there was more cushion in the insole inside the boot at the front of the foot but maybe I can get a new insert to resolve that. I now get some buzzing on the front of my feet that I didn't get with my old boots. Some growing pains of now having 'real' moto boots have been losing a ton of feel as far as what my feet are doing with the bike (knowing whether I'm even hitting the shifter and just where my feet are in general on the pegs). I think some of this comes down to going straight from hiking boots to track boots and I'm getting used to it slowly. Down shifting has been especially 'weird' feeling because of the lack of flex with a full height boot. I'm (in my mind) pushing down twice but only getting the first actual shift. I'm sure I'll work that out in the near future. Oh, they look pretty awesome too. I won't lie, my vanity has made more choices than it should but luckily these tick all the other boxes too. Soles feel super sticky too even just to the touch. I agree with Anthony that the hard part on the inside of the foot should/could be something more tactile. The more I wear em the more I like em and I'm glad I took the time to get to this boot.

Wide feet and large lower leg will like these boots.
4 February 2023

This is the only choice if you have a large lower leg and wide feet. Although the toe box is larger than most I still had to stretch the width. With such a large toe box you will have to raise your shifter, not the best for road racing as they are a bit clunky, kind of like work boots with toe sliders. My biggest complaint is the small heel. If you place your heel up against the peg your shifter will be half way up your shin instead of contacting the polyurethane shift patch. So you have to ride as if in shoes without heels and exact foot placement comes with practice. Overall like I said there isn't much choice if you have wide feet and edema. Also a good boot widener using 50/50 alcohol and water for a week letting the liquid evaporate and treating several times ... MoreThis is the only choice if you have a large lower leg and wide feet. On the final day I use heat from a heat gun with the stretchers in place and that really helps stretch and smooth out the leather. Let sit overnight, remove the stretchers and treat boots with a mink oil liquid cause using a paste will get in all the nooks and crannies and dry white.
