I have several pieces of Cotopaxi gear and all were purchased with my own money.I wear this piece to the beaches and hiking in the hills around San Diego, CA and it is a solid piece of kit.Soft polyester that doesn't feel overly garbage bag-y but doesn't breath as well as the Patagonia Houdini. A moisture wicking shirt or baselayer will help a lot in this department. There is also a vent at the pack to help dump heat and moisture. The Teca is very lightweight, thin, and packable just like the Houdini. The material is also on the louder side of synthetic fabrics. YKK Vislon zipper at the half zip is smooth and sturdy. The cover over the kangaroo pouch zip is stiffened or doubled over to reduce snagging on that YKK zipper as well. The anorak style and pocket on ... MoreI have several pieces of Cotopaxi gear and all were purchased with my own money.I wear this piece to the beaches and hiking in the hills around San Diego, CA and it is a solid piece of kit.Soft polyester that doesn't feel overly garbage bag-y but doesn't breath as well as the Patagonia Houdini. The elastic binding around the hem and cuffs is stretchy and well stitched. The cuffs function well at keeping gusts out but not as well as others. Seams are not stitched flat but lay flat and are not uncomfortable. Mobility is great and the hem hugs the body for the little ride it does take upwards if you stretch your arms up.The Teca cuts wind very well as one might hope and is very resistant to mist and light drizzles. It will wet out relatively quickly and isn't designed for sustained exposure to rain. The colorways are fantastic if you like bold and bright. I have the "Sea Salt" and love how it slips in with my existing wardrobe. I am 5'10, 165lbs and the medium fits extremely well. It's not too box-y and not quite as slim fitting as the Houdini.Overall, the Teca does what it advertises and looks very good doing it. If you like bold colors and functional kit, I don't think you will be disappointed with this windbreaker.

Cotopaxi makes the gear we need to keep us dry and warm while exploring Utah. Many stylish colors and options to choose from for either rain cover, wind cover, casual travel or deep cold.I did not give this review a 5 due to the inconsistent size issues we ran into. I had to exchange 3 jackets because the size purchased did not match sizes previously purchased on same products.

This is the best windbreaker I've ever owned. Took it on the Valbona-Theth Pass in Albania and it was super lightweight to stuff in my pack when not in use. Perfect for the chilly "summit" and the wet drizzly fog coming down. Would buy this again and again. I wore it around the rest of my 2 week trip from the beaches to mountains, very easy to layer and stylish enough to wear around and not feel like I looked like a dusty trail tired hiker.
A very well made jacket. I wouldn't change anything about it other then I feel like $80 is on the steep side for a thin windbreaker. I would have given 5 stars if it was priced better. I feel like they could also have provided a color option that was nuetral (grey's, blacks, whites) as I'm not a huge fan of these strange color groupings. I do like how it fits though. I'm a big dude at 6'4 220 and it has a great fit. Usually I have to find something extremly large to fit my long arms, but then it's overly baggy through the middle (because I don't have a fat gut, haha). This jacket has a nice mid to slim fit in the center while still having great flexing throughout the back, and conforms without being restrictive. This jacket has a nice mid to slim fit in the center while still having great flexing throughout the back, and conforms without being restrictive. The sleeve ends and the waist are perfect, not too tight but not loose either. Essentially it fits well without restricing movement, it doesn't look like you're wearing a big oversized colored trash bag with a hood, lol. The material is on the thin side, which is what I was looking for. Don't expect this to be a warm coat.
This windbreaker doesn't come in women's 3X so I purchased the men's 2X instead. This works for me even though the sleeves are too long (as expected). I typically keep my sleeves pushed up to 3/4 length anyway. The construction of this garment is sturdy & very well made, the material is as light as a whisper, & the color options are so much fun. The anorak style makes this a great travel piece as the zippered pocket keeps necessities secure...in my case, this eliminates the need for a purse. This zippered pocket also is the stuff sack when it is time to stow this windbreaker away. I really love this thing...I just wish they made a women's 3X.
I was just getting out the door to take my bird dog for his afternoon one mile walk when I saw the mail truck pulling away from my mailbox at the end of the driveway. I stopped to check the mail and there was the carboard mailer with the Teca half-zip windbreaker inside. I had on a light hoodie and it was just beginning to drizzle. At 48 degrees it did not feel pleasant. So I opened up the package and pulled on the windbreaker right there with the tags still attached. It fit great. I liked the pouch in front to put my hand in that was not holding the dog leash. The windbreaker kept me dry and warm despite the light drizzly rain. When I got back my wife asked me where I got the great looking windbreaker. She actually then wore it out later to meet up with her sister ... MoreI was just getting out the door to take my bird dog for his afternoon one mile walk when I saw the mail truck pulling away from my mailbox at the end of the driveway. I have only had it one day but so far it has been nothing but awesome and I highly recommend it.

I love this jacket! I came across it serendipitously, too — I went in for another jacket but it ended up being an online-only item. The vibrant colors caught my eye, and the sale price did as well. It’s lightweight, packs away into the kangaroo pocket (which I love when riding my bike around town), and has ventilation on the back. It’s just enough for those breezy days or nights where it’s too warm for a sweater but a little too nippy for just a short sleeve.
